  • "gnocchi is yummy. If you are a Northerner and looking for decent Italian food in the South, this is not a bad place."

  • "Everyone at the table got some thing different we each loved all of our food and each others. We were very please and certainly will be coming back to your restaurant."

  • "Our group was happy with this restaurant after they ate, but not happy when they arrived as we were from out of town and had eaten at other nice restaurants and this had very little charm. In a shopping strip, I'm sure it's a nice neighborhood place. Service was very pleasant and food was good, but nothing notable. I had shrimp scampi and I had to dig around the mound of pasta to find the shrimp. Leave this one to the neighbors."

  • "The food here was solid italian food for NC, I was a little disappointed in some things mainly apps and how my chicken parm was prepared, but being from the north its hard to compete with the italian food we are used to. This place is one of the best around i have found in NC. The waiter was extremely friendly and offered us great service. We had a great time and celebrated a birthday event. Would return again."

  • "I found Positano on Open table while visiting Greensboro. Table for 10 was waiting for us when we got there and the staff was very courteous. The bruschetta was a fantastic appetizer. Dinner meal satisfied young and old. Even my picky daughter left her plate empty. Dessert was wonderful with the chocolate cake our favorite for the night. Very good find and will be back on our next visit."

  • "We very much enjoy Positano - while definitely on the pricier side of Italian dining in Greensboro, it's one of the best. After spending time in Italy this summer, it was refreshing to see somewhere that actually served "Antipasto Misto" (mixed appetizer) which is so common over there. House wine is very good (if a bit pricey), but the entrees have all been outstanding for us. Not to mention the desserts! Overall our favorite place so far in Greensboro for Italian (since the closure of Bianca's), though we haven't by any means been exhaustive with our search."

  • "We often dine at Positano's. The food is reliable wonderful, and the servers are always prompt and courteous. They always have a fresh fish special which I often order, served with pasta on the side or underneath and with a variety of toppings, and their pastas are good including the mixed ravioli which I sometimes order even if it is not listed on the specials. My wife typically orders their chicken piccata, over angel hair, if she is not having fish."

  • "We were in town for our daughters graduation from Elon University. We wanted to get out of the hustle of Elon/Burlington area on graudation night and chose Greensboro - and found this gem on the internet through Open Table. We had nine in our group and everyone loved everything we had. Food was wonderful and the wait staff patient and very attentive. I had the special of the evening - Southwestern Ravioli. Seemed like an a strange combo, but I'm adventurous and was more than pleasantly surprised - Fantastic! The only downside - we live in Maryland. But if we are ever in the area again, will look forward to returning. Definitely worth the trip."

  • "This is truly an outstanding Italian restaurant. A little hard to find, but well worth the effort. We ordered several appetizers and sampled them around our group and found that each one was better than the last. The entrees were served hot and prepared perfectly. Our server said he had been there a number of years. He was knowledgeable about the menu and his attention to even the slightest service detail was impressive. Although our first time there, we all agreed we would be anxious to return. Well done Positano!"

  • "The restaurant had no record of the reservation we made three days earlier through Open Table. They nonetheless found a table and accommodated us for Sunday lunch. Best to call and confirm if you use this service."

  • "We love Positano. It's our go to for Italian food. The owner, manager and staff are top notch and know their frequent guests. The food is always delicious, cooked to order and they'll accommodate any request/modification of the menu."

  • "The food was excellent. The lobster ravioli was one of if not the best I have ever had. Everyone else had nothing but good things to say about their dishes especially the dip brought with the bread...it was so good it needs to be bottled. Would suggest this as a must when visiting Greensboro. "

Fresh ingredients, attention to detail, attentive wait staff combine to make an enjoyable dining experience in a casual atmosphere. Will continue to return to enjoy their many delicious options."

  • "Never disappointed at Positano. The food is the best Italian fare this side of Rome! And the staff always make us feel like welcome and treasured guests. Always at the top of our list."

  • "We chose Positino because it was convenient, reasonably priced and had a seemingly diverse menu. Had a bit of a wait despite reservations and not much space provided for waiting; staff did keep us updated. I was starving, so I got a ceasar salad to start. it was a large portion so I shared it with my husband but was quite disappointed that the parmesan cheese was the cheap powdered (flavorless) stuff. My husband got the lasagna and I was surprised at the tiny portion but he said it was good. I got the Alla Marinaio (shrimp and mushrooms sauteed in a pink cream sauce over pasta). It was a huge portion but 90% noodles. The sauce was so incredibly bland and I had to hunt for the shrimp. Finally packed it to go to spice up the left overs."

  • "We were there for the first time for an early lunch on Saturday. Wait staff was awesome with information about the menu and very friendly. Food was really good. There wasn't a crowd so it felt more like a neighborhood gem that a "happening" hot spot. Would definitely go back and even plan a large dinner get together with friends/family."

  • "First time going to Positano was with my girlfriend for Valentines Day. This turned out to be one of the best value meals I've ever had. Started with a 1/4 bottle of prosecco and the roasted peppers and mozerella. My girlfriend ordered Gnocchi gorgonzola, the sauce was delicious. I ordered chicken francaise with a side of spaghetti and marinara. Generally, when a dish comes with a side of pasta, it's just a nice extra. But this side was no "extra." The marinara sauce was amazing. I ended up purchasing a jar to take home following our meal after chatting with the owner. We then proceeded to dessert, 2 cappuccinos, 1 slice of limoncello cake and spimoni ice cream, both very good. The bill was dropped and the total was only $98.00! Amazing!"

  • "I am a vegan and often have difficulty eating in Italian restaurants. Not here. I was able to get the plant based protein that I needed from the beans in the minestrone and the nuts in the salad and entree. The pace of serving was excellent, not hurried as in some restaurants. The food was fresh and the wait staff was not freaked out with special requests to avoid cheese or to add vegetables. Our first visit, but we will be back."
