  • "Positano was convenient to walk to from our hotel. It was pretty loud in the main dining area so we moved to another section. Instead of people noise this time, we had constant music and bass sounds from a fundraiser in one of their rooms. The website doesn't advertise that you can bring in your own bottle of wine on Sunday and Monday. Had I known that, I would have done so."

But I thought it was slightly annoying that they did not offer happy hour oSo paint and help him tomorrow, and then you two come over Sunday around 11, and we'll have brunch, maybe do some packing, and then head down to the boat for a mid-afternoon ride and early dinner?utdoors on such a beautiful night. And they only had one server working the patio so it took quite a while to get drinks and our food order. That being said, the food was yummy and there are lots of healthy options. Overall, a yummy experience!"

  • "Picked it based on location and the reviews on OpenTable, and we were not disappointed. Everyone's food was delicious (I recommend the grilled octopus appetizer!), and when we complained that the Blue Point oysters were much smaller than expected, the manager came over and took them off our bill. My only criticism would be that our waiter was a "low talker" and therefore difficult to hear, particularly since we were sitting outside and there was some traffic noise. Other than that, it was a terrific meal and we will certainly return."

The noise level was a little more than we expected but truly it was in keeping with the general enthusiasm of the clientele. A broad selection of wines and spirits paired more than adequately with the variety of excellent food choices that were well-prepared and presented in appetizing and appealing ways. You must not miss this gem."

The bar is just adjacent to the outdoor seating, and the bar noise certainly impacted our conversations. I would recommend seating on the outer edge or indoor seating to enjoy conversation as well as the meal."

  • "From first approach I was skeptical. The valet was sitting down, not standing. When I asked him where to enter the restaurant, he glanced over his shoulder in order to answer me, he did not face me. Hostess was cordial, and the waiter was very good and attentive during the meal. The food was so-so. The Caesar salad was about what you would expect. Nothing special, not overly dressed. I had the sesame crusted tuna. Avg. at best. Incredibly small portion or tuna for the price. Six small cuts with way too many sesame seeds. Cooked perfectly, but for the price, was very underwhelmed. My better half enjoyed her seafood risotto, but it lacked seafood, and forced the risotto. As far as a "view" goes, this place failed."

  • "The food was great and the ambiance was just lovely. It was wonderful for a romantic dinner . We had a particularly bad server who was arrogant and not caring of his customers. However, once we spoke to the manager, Enrico, our service was outstanding. Enrico personally made sure the dinner was perfect and treated us to wine and an after dinner drink. He certainly understands that great service And great food make a restaurant successful. We will be back and hopefully our original server will have a better attitude going forward."

Our party of eight ordered a variety of apps, sides and entres and no member of our party seemed displeased with their selections. Service was solid throughout the evening. Wine list was a bit more limited than some other fine italian restaurants but still is more than adequately assembled to meet a broad range of desires."

  • "I decided to go to Postiano Coast for a last minute bday dinner with my cousin. The pictures looked nice and I wanted to try something new. We got mussels for our appetizer which were pretty good. But for our entrees we for Seadood Risotto and The Rack of Lamb. The risotto had an over powering flavor and it left a nasty after taste. The lamb was poorly under seasoned and it included some type of mint garnish which made it taste even worse. It was tender however and cooked how I liked. Overall nice place, a little noisier than I would like, ok service. But a first time experience was enough for me."

  • " the food was excellent. Great flavors, good quantity. But the friendliness of the staff was a facade because the actions did not indicate respect for diners. We had a reservation 2 weeks out, hey tried to seat us at a table in front fo the kitchen door. The waiter had to come back to ask what we had ordered. And the food deliverers asked every table who had what. But the most awful part of he experience was the NOISE! Unbelievable! Absolutely the loudest restaurant we have ever been in! No soft surfaces to mute the sound. And they slapped the plates down on the tables and the bus boys clanged the plates together when clearing. We could not hear each other but could hear people at other tables since they had to yell."

  • "Besides the food, which is excellent, the best thing about Positano Coast is that it is one of the very few restaurants in all of Center City that isn't noisy. It's easy to have a conversation, no matter where you sit in the dining room. It is also BYOB on Sunday evenings. The two salads we ordered, quinoa and a classic caesar, were both very good. My husband loved his beef tenderloin, saying it almost melted in his mouth. My cannelloni was tasty, albeit with so much cheese on top that it was a bit difficult to eat without making a mess. The meatball appetizer wasn't a bit hit with either of us; I can make better meatballs and sauce myself. But the service was perfect, as it always is, and of course we'll come back."

  • "Made reservations for 7 p.m. on Sunday to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The hostess was nice, but it was obvious they either overbooked or didn't have enough staff for the dining area. They asked if we will sit at the lounge which would have been find if we could get drinks and food, the only problem was the waiter was no where to be found after we were seated. Waited 20 minutes to track someone down to order drinks. With how things were going, we knew we'd be sitting there for a good 2 hours waiting for the food so I found another Italian restaurant close by. Let's just say, all the staff there is oblivious on what good service at a restaurant should be like. Unfortunate, since I've heard the food is good there."

  • "We went as a group of 3. I really enjoyed how you felt like you were in the Mediterranean as you were sitting at your table. The air was a little stuffy but it had been a hot day. It would have been nice if there'd been just a little breeze coming through the main dining room. We ordered the scallops and calamaria as appetizers and they did not disappoint. For entrees my boyfriend had the Gorgonzola gnocchi and I split the herb crusted mahi with my mom. The gnocchi looked really, really good. The mahi was great as well but I prefer my fish more rare (my mom doesn't like fish that isn't cooked all the way through). Next time I'll go for the tuna."

  • "We came to Positano because of the many great reviews and we were not disappointed! The salad with grilled artichokes was an excellent starter. Both my wife and I had the Mahi with broccoli rabe. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The rabe wasn't overlooked and had good flavor. We sat in the outside seating area just off the bar - it was a great weather night to dine outside and added to the great experience we had."
