  • Great birthday meal

We celebrated my brother's birthday with three five course dinners, which gave us 15 different beautiful plates of very tasty food. It was great fun to share and compare each course. A couple of plates were less successful than others but it was the best birthday meal we've had in several years (hear that, Binkleys and The Mission?). Our server was excellent and paced the meal properly. We will be back!

If you haven't tried this place out, you should. Good was great and the whole improv meal experience is awesome. It's a little pricey but worth it in my opinion especially if you get there before 530 for the sunset discount.

Love the concept. Great for adventurous diners since you never know quite what you'll get. The option to designate what you like and don't like or any food allergies at the beginning means that whatever you get you'll likely love. 5 of us and we each had some thing different and loved them all.

Parking directions were fine but once parked, could not find the restaurant...only parking signs, no directions to Posh itself. After a long circuitous walk, were told the valet was late so there was no one to direct customers to the restaurant....not a good excuse. We noticed that other diners were getting info on how to fill out the preference menu for their servers...and we kept having to ask our server.adn she was a bit busy.... I know some places want an energetic vibe but this was really loud...thumping drums..hard to chat.

Exciting from beginning to end. We sat up at the chefs counter which I think is a must. You are so close to the action and can see literally everything that happens in the kitchen. I saw frog legs on the list of ingredients which I love, I put a heart around it and got it as one of my courses. Great atmosphere and every course was absolutely perfect. It was restaurant week so it was $44/person but even still it wasn't that great of a value for the amount of food. Have an appetizer before if you have a big appetite

POSH presents an unique opportunity to experience different proteins prepared in a variety of ways. We dined there during Restaurant week and experienced a limited 4-course menu. The plating was eloquent and the food combinations work balancing savory, sweet and texture. Next time I'll be sure to try a larger course to fully experience the variety. Also, the tables next to use were using the recommended wine pairings and I'll do so the next time.

One main course was excellent. The dessert was also very good. The other courses were average. Except for dessert all of the portions were very small. Although it was an intriguing concept, it was probably not worth the cost. The service was average. Our waitress didn't seem to know anything about the wine specials for restaurant week and couldn't explain the differences between the wines.

Even if the prices were a fraction of what we paid, and we went during restaurant week so it was already discounted, I would still say the food was some of the worst I've had. Pork cheek was the driest piece of meat I've ever tasted. Appetizer of uni was the consistency of softened cream cheese, just a large scoop of it in a bowl that is eaten by itself. After a couple small bites it was too rich without something else to compliment it. Himachi was smoked and salted, served with salty nori and extremely salty beets. Mouthful of salt is all I got. Chocolate desert plate - I love dark chocolate and I do not eat a lot of sweets. The whole plate was so bitter, only had a few bites. I think some of the desert should have been a little sweet.

Restaurant Week! We love trying new spots. Bad start. 10 mins early, seated 45 mins late. Had to call for directions. Inside. Cool urban buzz. Loud. We're directed to a bar where we sit and watch a frazzled bartender make drinks 5-10 mins before acknowledging us. Then, for the next 40 mins or so, we study the wine list. We moved here from Napa, I worked at a Sonoma winery and lived in Paso. We found only 4 wines on the list we knew. Dinner. We are handed a piece of paper by a rushed waiter whom we can barely hear. We are to tell the chef what we don't want. I heard "Surprise" a lot. The Food. We were neither surprised or delighted. Not one memorable or "wow" dish. No, we will not be back.

Dined with boyfriend and another couple. Most of the dishes were OK to good. Could have been wonderful if it wasn't for the heavy use of salt. All 4 of us felt the same - a shame really. One of the courses, all though 3 different dishes was returned due to the overwhelming saltiness. And I am one that normally likes my food quite salted but, too much even for me.

I have been to Posh regularly over the past four years since discovering it. Each time the experience is new due to Chef Joshua's concept of improvisational cuisine. I can honestly say that in all the times I have been to Posh, I have never had exactly the same dish twice. This time round the best item I had was an uni cheese cake. That title doesn't due this delicious item justice, so dang good. I strongly recommend the wine pairing option. Posh does a very good job of mixing interesting and unusual wines from all over the world including AZ and matching them with the courses served. Already making plans to return and I live in L.A.!

The food was very good but a couple of the fish items seems slightly over-cooked and therefore a little dry (Mahi mahi and Copper River Salmon). Neither myself nor my date felt the food justified the price of the meal. It seemed over-priced by about 20-25%. I do love the concept of the restaurant I only wish I would be able to visit more often to sample the variety the chef has to offer but at $100 /dinner (with drink and tip) I cannot justify it.

I have to say that I was more than impressed. There were two in our party and we had though we had marked off similar items on our checklist, we never received the same dish. Everything was absolutely delicious and the platings were beautiful. The combinations were perfectly paired and balanced. You could see the chefs' passions in each plate. Sitting at the Chef's Counter was also a treat because we were able to see the preparations for not only our dishes, but all the ones that were going to the other tables. The head Chef was extremely friendly and personable. The staff of chefs communicated efficiently and quietly, executing all dishes fluently. I definitely recommend this experience for anyone who has not tried it.

What a great experience. My wife and I chose the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings. To our great surprise, for each course my wife and I actually received different dishes with a different wine pairing. We shared each dish so actually got to experience 14 different things. All the courses were very delicious, especially the "add-on" foie gras dish which was epic!

The food was good. There were some cooking issues that we thought could have been done differently. But overall all of the courses were creative and let the group share and converse.

If you are the least bit finicky, you will not enjoy this place. It is great fun for the open-minded, adventurous eater. They give you a list of items, and you can cross out what you do not want. It is a mistake to cross out anything unless you have a gluten, diabetic, etc. problem. You can eat many unfamiliar things with new, strange tastes. One of my plates was monk fish liver in cucumber juice. The ambience is modern with chrome and glass. It can get a bit noisy as the crowd builds up. Servers were knowledgeable and attentive.

My husband and I visited the Phoenix area over the weekend and had the pleasure of dining at Posh. We loved the format -- pick the number of courses and let them know what you don't like. The rest was a mystery to us until each fabulous course arrived. We chose 7 courses, which really ended up being 14 as we sampled each other's food throughout the evening. Each course was unique, beautiful and delicious. The service was stellar. Our only complaint is that we don't have Posh in Sacramento. We hope this restaurant continues to do well and that Phoenix area foodies find this gem.

Love the concept of this restaurant ---- but our group of four found the courses to be very inconsistent. Some were absolutely perfect, others average and not memorable, and a couple were so overly-salted, we could barely eat them. Service was efficient but "cold". With our group being one of only 2 tables eating on a Wednesday night, we expected near perfection, especially at this price point………Instead we came home talking about the "hit" and "miss" courses.
