Posh - Scottsdale
Outstanding!Service, food, and an engaging staff helped make for a wonderful time.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMJust Right BitesWe chose the six course tastes and adored it. I especially liked that the portions were adjusted so that we wouldn't be stuffed to the gills on the second course. As a pescetarian, I loved that I could mark the fish that I liked and not have to endure meat dishes (but my companion who LOVES meat, didn't have to live with my fish choices either). So many times a tasting menu means I only eat a few of the courses, but this one - made specifically with what I liked and without what I didn't like - was delicious in every single bite! And, I'm quite confident that we could eat there often and have different tastes all the time ... expect us to become regulars.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe experienced multiple foodgasms!Don't go to Posh unless you TRULY know how to experience food at a hedonistic level. But if you .... if you believe in foodgasms and enjoy experiencing them over and over, block 4 hours and sign up for the full 15 course event.. Then, cross NOTHING off the "I don't like list" and tell they chef to do whatever they want. And then open/prepare your mind and body to be blown away.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMPosh-tasticWords cannot describe the gem that is Posh. Resident chef Josh and the talented team around him delivered an exquisite dining experience. It was my sweetheart's birthday and I wanted to make it memorable. We had the 12 course tasting menu but asked for all vegetarian dishes. Most chef's would wilt under such a challenge, but Josh is as talented as he is inventive. The service was equally immaculate while not being intrusive. The evening was magical. Thanks Posh :)5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMsmall plate heavenChoose how many courses desired, and chef does the rest! Posh is always an experience, I love it!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting, fun, but....The variety and creativity were a nice change of pace for a restaurant. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMFood as TheaterThe concept is somewhat of a gimmick -- you get to choose from a list of ingredients but the preparation is up to the cooks. So, when the food comes out, it is a surprise. This is fun and a nice change once in a while; however, in general, when I am spending this much for a meal, I like a little more control. The food is tasty and original, however and the ingredients are first rate.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMPosh-- a unique dining experiencePosh is definitely for those who are food adventurous. Between the 2 of us we had 14 different courses, all of which were fabulous! Each course for each member of the party is different and a surprise. We sat at the counter and watched the kitchen while we dined. The conversations with the chefs only enhanced the dining experience.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMRestaurant Week Success!!My first time at the restaurant was during "restaurant week" and it was amazing. The food, the atmosphere and most of all our server Timothy. Great job all around. Thanks for a memorable night.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMsuperb foodIf you want a quality menu prepared in a beautifully artistic manner this is the place to go. Although the food is served in small portions, by the end you have eaten a full meal. We went with a party of four and it was a fun experience seeing what the chefs created differently for each of us. You let the waiter know your likes and dislikes and they come up with a meal plan for you. We were all extremely satisfied with our four-course meal. The servings were unique and had flavors that you savored for a long time after each bite. The waiter was friendly and professional. He didn't hover over us and knew just the right time to return to the table without interrupting us.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA different dinning experienceWe enjoyed our experience at Posh. The concept of the chef deciding what the dinner selection would be is unusual but the preparation of the food was at least very good if not excellent. Our servers were attentive, helpful and clearly appropriate for a fine dinning restaurant. The only negatives in our opinion was the noise level was greater than we like and the seats are poorly cushioned so that after an hour, the chairs became uncomfortable.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasantly surprised by thePleasantly surprised by the unique and tasteful foods. Having the option to remove foods is a big plus considering the types of foods available.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBe Adventurous!Get out of your head & let the food speak for itself! Try EVERYTHING-ANYTHING!! Even things we thought sounded outside our comfort zone were DELISH! Be prepared to share bites as you taste your way through the courses!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday happinessWe canned to this restaurant because of a referral from a friend. We decided to wait until my birthday and it ended up being one of the best meals I've ever experienced in mine and my husbands lives. We will definitely go back for another special occasion dinner. This place isn't a kid friendly place but makes it intimate for you and your special someone. It is very well priced for that quality of food and service you get but be prepared to spend for your special night.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat concept. InterestingGreat concept. Interesting dishes. Just right portions.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing dinnerWe had the 7 course tasting menu with wine paring. We are also vegetarian and alerted the restaurant in advance. The kitchen went out of its way to procure proteins not ordinarily stocked and thoughtfully integrated them into what was one of my most memorable meals in Phoenix. It was our third time to Posh. We will definitely return.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFoodie HeavenPOSH is heaven for adventerous eaters. You will get the highest quality, perfectly prepared dishes on a "menu" that changes regulary. One of the most impressive things about POSH was the wine pairings. Each flavor note from the food and wine is clearly very well thought out and served to you based on preferences marked at the beginning of the meal. My wife and I sat at the bar over-looking the kitchen and talked with sous chefs about each dish throughout the evening. These people have so much passion for what they create and it sure comes through on the plate. Portions are just the right size. We each ordered the 7 course dinner with wine and felt like we couldn't eat anymore at the end of the evening. POSH is a can't miss for foodies.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMPosh - simply outstanding! We did the full tasting menu, and it was amazing. We ended up with 13 courses, not counting the amuse-bouche or the after dessert frozen lollipop. Everything was fantastic. Sure it's pricey, but for a special occasion it's well worth saving up your pennies for an experience such as this. Our waiter was excellent and explained all the dishes well. We sat at the counter so we also had the opportunity to interact with the chef, sous-chef, and cooks. They were all very friendly and excited to discuss the food with us.
This was our second visit. If you opt for a smaller menu, going with a group is nice because then you get to try more dishes. Overall, one of the best dining experiences in AZ and highly recommended!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe chairs were becoming uncomfortaThe chairs were becoming uncomfortable by the time we finished dining. The noise level was horrible. Mostly from 1 group of people. The waiter/waitress were excellent.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMChef HebertChef Hebert is very talented and it shows in every dish that came to our table. Each course was different for my wife than mine, which made it even more entertaining for sharing. Notable dishes: Popcorn soup, Frog legs with gnocchi, and the foie gras three ways - which is an up charge of $15/per, but worth every penny. We chose the wine pairing and enjoyed the selections. Although the caliber of chef, quality of food demands a premium price for this restaurant, it also relegates this experience to a once or twice a year outing.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI will become a frequent visitI will become a frequent visit to this spot. Not for the unadventureous though. The food is absolutely amazing. And yes, contrary to other reviews - we left there completely full!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMPOSH with Doraexcellent concept with beautifully presented and thoughtful entrees and wine pairings.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial occasion restaurant.Special occasion restaurant. Excellent food. Service good. An experience for eating. Pricing along the lines of a New York or Paris restaurant.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMA very unique restaurant.A very unique restaurant. Do not know of any other restaurant like it anywhere!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMFood for ThoughtA foodie haven...my hats off the Josh and company. Don't go if you're looking food chain type experience or if you want to leave full. This one is for the people that appreciate culinary arts. Fantastic3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMA night I will never forgetThis was by far the best dining experience I have ever had. Not only was the service amazing, but the food was fantastic! I loved not knowing what we were going to receive for each course. It made going out to dinner a fun and memorable event. We will definitely go back.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my third visit toThis was my third visit to Posh. As usual, the food was very good.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a unique place toThis is a unique place to eat. You choose what foods that you don't want to eat and then the chef makes you courses from what is left open. The improv meals always make me happy to be eating new foods that taste great. The wine pairing with each course (optional) are always spot on and complimentary.
The portions per course are small and some will feel slighted due to cost. I enjoy it as I eat some foods that I normally don't and can't find anywhere else.
I enjoy myself every time I come. I go at least once a year with my wife.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
