I tried a chef special of swordfish that was the best swordfish I have ever had. The inside of Poseidon is lovely; the outside is not as nicely done, but you don't come to look at the furnishings. I'll come back on special occasions only because of the prices of lunch and wine. Our server was awesome. The gentleman who served us was wonderful: got what we needed and lit the heater, even having to get a new tank, but was so cheerful.

We sat in the outdoor area with one of those heating devices next to us. It was cozy, yet outdoors. The sunset was spectacular. The food was great. The wine nicely complimented the meal. And our attendant was really outstanding. She was genuinely friendly. We had a wonderful and memorable time--just what we wanted.

Service was outstanding - server "Scott" was fun, knowlegdable, and prompt. We were seated immediately at our reservation time with a nice view. The was a dinner out for work associates. The menu is not huge, but quite varied. All palates should be able to find what they want.
Don't choose Poseidon for a quiet romantic dinner. The place is just too hopping. Fast and helpful service! We had a 5:00 p.m. reservation on a week night and were seated on time in a fairly empty restaurant (bar seemed to be the happening spot at that time). Within 30 minutes the restaurant was full and the staff was quick to take our orders, fill waters, and they provided crayons and paper activity for our 6 and 10 year old. We were seated under the covered deck and enjoyed the ocean view, surfers, and people walking the beach. Kids loved the cheese plate and clam chowder and we highly enjoyed the salmon and the seafood tortellini. We like the expanded menu. The sea bass was wonderful. My husband says the fried calimari is the best around.

When I asked for a patio table with my reservation, they said they try to accomodate as people get there. We arrived shortly after opening and were able to get a table on the patio. It filled up extremely fast. This was on a Friday afternoon. Their patio is very cozy and you have a great view of the ocean. Service was just ok, because I had to ask for wine refill multiple times, as well as I didn't get salad dressing with my side salad and when I asked for it, it never came out. There's $4 valet parking only, or street parking on the street. Overall everyone was polite and friendly and very accomodating.
