Maybe people shy away from this gem because it's in a hotel (the Hilton Portland Executive Tower) but that is their loss. We went on a Wednesday evening and ours was one of only three tables occupied. We found understated luxury in the dining room, great service from every member of their staff, and, most importantly, great food.
All four courses were delicious and the portions generous.
We know there are a lot of wonderful restaurant choices in Portland but this one needs to be higher on your priority list. Several of our group love fish so the trout was a happy choice. The cocktails were particularly good Friday evening.
