Unlucky neighborsView was great as promised as we were given a window table and it was a clear, beautiful day. The restaurant was fine, the wait staff were very friendly and the food was quite good. Our chief complaint was really a fluke in that shortly after we arrived, a table of guys who, I'm guessing were there in advance of a stag party were seated beside us. They weren't offensive, but they were loud which kind of killed the atmosphere.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Portland. We were there on a Sunday night and were surprised to see that the restaurant was very busy. As a result, the noise level was a little energetic at times. It was definitely enough for two people to share, I started with a very tasty bowl of tomato/basil soup. We both had fish entrees (halibut and salmon) which were done perfectly. Our waiter was absolutely fantastic. It was my wife's birthday, so he sprinkled birthday confetti on the table and brought her a special dessert after dinner. He deserved a generous tip and he got one :)
Our food was FABULOUS! My scallops were some of the best I have ever had. My wife and my son had steak and talked about it for days. I could go on and on, but I actually ran out of characters and had to shorten this review. PCG is a very special place.
