Both were excellent. The service was prompt and professional. The ambiance is unusual and not particularly attractive but the table next to the gas fireplace was cozy. The Port is worth at least one visit but it is unlikely to become one of our regular restaurants; there are many other excellent choices in Orange County. The bar area appeared to be lively and active on a Saturday night. The live music was good but the lack of a proper stage meant the performer was immediately adjacent to the dinning tables; the sound level made conversation somewhat difficult.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch quiet peaceful lovelyVery nicely presented Brunch. We had a long day of driving ahead of us and decided to try Port's breakfast. It was perfect the Egg's Benedict was wonderful. My sister had the French Toast she loved it. I recommend this brunch experience. Light and perfectly cooked. The filet kabob and chicken kabob, outstanding. The table next to us had the salmon which they said it was also very good. We came early and we left before the musician started so the bar music was too loud. But I guess they figured it out and after about 45 minutes it was much quieter. We brought our own wine; the corkage fee was $15 and we paired our wine with one of the best and cheapest cheese platters ever ($20). We could have filled up on the wine and cheese platter but then we would have missed out on the ravioli's that were to die for!
