PorkchopMy wife and I tried it outMy wife and I tried it out on our way to the Rolling Stones Concert at the United Center. Great beer selection and even better whiskey selection with Bourbon, Scotch, and Rye flights. The food was very good and our server/bartender was very friendly. We'll definately come back on our next trip down to the UC from our home in the northern burbs.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMNice people Good food great service5 of us came in last Sunday before the Hawks game. We requested that we wanted to eat and be out in about an hour. After asking for recommendations we tried several items. I would recommend the Pulled Pork, fried ribs, pork tacos, and fried pickles. The fried chicken was a disappointment.
The service was very friendly and quick.
They also told us we could leave our cars there till after the game that was very nice.
Nice beer list.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat barbecue w/the rightGreat barbecue w/the right portion sizes. The fried pickles were awful, but the cornbread made up for it. Only complaint was with seating. When we requested to move our table from sitting on the end at the front of the restaurant we were told the 3 other empty tables were reserved. After promising to finish dinner within an hour we were able to switch tables. We ended up being there almost 2 hours and not one of the "reserved" tables were filled.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great dinner at PorkchopHad a great dinner at Porkchop with friends: good music, good ambience and great food! Love the "saw wall."5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI will go here againGreat wings, BBQ ribs were excellent and enjoyed the great beer and fantastic whiskey selection. Service was super friendly and informative. An excellent value for the price.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was awesome, service was mehThe food at Porkchop was one of the best meals I've ever had. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Flavorful and succulent.
The server we had seemed preoccupied and we had to wait a really long time for one of our party's meals, while we all had ours. Service might have lacked because it was their 2-year anniversary party as well but it didn't seem crazy-busy.
Also, there are some menu items that appear online but aren't on the printed menu. I don't think many people head to Porkchop for an apple and beat salad or the fish tacos, but they were my pesca-vegetarian husband's saving grace, but they weren't on the menu.
Even with the challenges I'd go back in a heartbeat.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMPorkchop is a gem!Good food, fun, and no pretention. Your belly will be stuffed and your wallett will feel no pain.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat RibsWe went to pork chop with a big group. Everyone was very pleased with the food. The service was a little slow, though our server was very nice. We would definitely go again.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, patient server,We made Mother's Day reservations for 13, 7 of which were children. They provided a large table in a perfect spot. The kids could walk around and not disturb other diners. We love the food and there is enough on the menu that does not necessitate ordering the usual kid fare...chicken strips or burgers. They loved the Mac & Cheese. We spent almost 3 hours and enjoyed it all! I love the pork chop, pulled pork, and fried chicken. My son ordered the catfish and enjoyed that as well. Wings great for appetizer!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food! Delicious comfortGreat food! Delicious comfort food. Loved the Blackened Chicken with BBQ sauce and the elotes. My husband loved the grilled Porkchop.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a decent sized groupWe had a decent sized group but there were no issues at all. Service was prompt and the food was very good!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGood service, waitress wasGood service, waitress was pretty attentive, explained the menu well & gave us good recommendations. Food came out fairly quickly. Large portions, decently priced, especially for the West Loop. Brisket portion was huge, more fries would have been nice, but it was a good amount -I just love fries! Also got the Chicken & Waffles & it was 2 large pieces of chicken breast on a large waffle & seasoned maple syrup Chicken was a little too well done, the skin was very crispy but the chicken was a tad try. Overall great experience. We went with a youswoop certificate but the prices were moderate enough for us to go again without a certificate. Beers were pretty cheap as well - $5-8 for draft, cheap for the WL!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMBEST CORNBREAD EVER!If you are in the mood for BBQ this is an excellent place to go and if you like cornbread...it is truly TO DIE FOR!!!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSecond visit, first for dinnerSecond visit, first for dinner and drinks-can't wait to go back! I truly enjoyed coming here I loved the way the dining area is set up and the wood tables are super cool! My party was only a group of three but we each enjoyed our food! I had the elotes and fried pickles to start and they were both amazing and uniquely tasty! I then had the chicken and waffle one word YUM! my two quest each ordered a different flavor of the ribs and swapped half for half both were fall of the bone awesome and the BBQ sauce is simply wonderful! At the end of our dining experience we ordered dessert we got an order of doughnuts and an order of peach cobbler both were so sweet and wonderful it was the best way I could've ended my dining experience at Porkchop.
