The Pond House Grille is a new pulse in the dining scene in Glastonbury. The New American Eclectic cuisine will delight your culinary senses. The focus is on fresh ingredients inspired from cuisines reaching the far corners of the globe. Although the food is the star of the show, we aim to provide you with a completely enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Enjoy the culinary delights with a bottle of wine off of our carefully selected wine list or a trendy drink from the bar. All the while sitting comfortably in our dining room which is as eclectic and stylish as the food. Our porch will invite you to enjoy the beautiful weather with outside dining.   • "THere were 4 of us and none had been there before. We all ordered something different and we all loved our meals. I ordered the crab cake with pistacious and it was the best I have had. Salads good. We had 2 appetizers - the nachos and the spinach/artichoke dip and barely had room for our meals. End of meal restaurant entertainment was really nice"

Didn't seem like they had enough wait staff so it took 20 minutes after we ordered for the bread to come to the table and a drink to be refilled. Food was good, not great, but we felt way overpriced for what you received. Watch your drink order. Grey Goose on the rocks was $11. ouch! For the same price head to J. Gilberts for better quality food."

  • "We had a nice dinner at the Pond House Grille. We loved the new Zen menus on the tablets so you can scroll through the entrees and see photos of everything. My husband loved his short ribs and I enjoyed my surf and turf with filet and scallops. Service was excellent. The "aromatherapy" course was a nice surprise!"

  • "I've only been to this restaurant for lunch and I must say I really enjoy it now with its new menu! I had previously gone a couple of times a couple of years ago - but found the food going downhill....Don't know what they did - maybe a new chef - but whatever they did I'm glad they did it - the food was just great - there were 7 of us there for lunch and everyone enjoyed their meals. We all said we will return...."

  • "Went for Sunday brunch. Choices were limited. We arrived shortly after they opened and they were out of Fruit. We all ordered omelets with apples which were undercooked. The whole experience was disappointing. Won't be returning."

  • "I have eaten here in the past and was pleasantly surprised by the experience, food and service. I had some clients in from Cincinnati, so I decided to take them there for dinner. We started with some appetizers and a drink and were happy at this point. The scallops, potato croquets and clam chowder were all very good. Once we ordered dinner, it all went down hill. Both Filets were over cooked and the searing of the meat made the top and bottom of the steak inedible. My Snapper needed to be cut with a knife it was so dry and overcooked. When we ordered Espressos, there were no waiters for 10+ minutes, so I found my own sugar and silverware since no one could accommodate. I was embarrassed that I brought colleagues to this restaurant."

  • "Friend and I needed a midway point to meet and catch up. First time dining here, and we weren't disappointed. He had the new-to-the-menu tri tip sandwich (waiter demo'd which part of the cow it came from 😄) and was happy to hear that he could have sweet potato fries w it at no extra charge. I had the crab cake and salad. The crab cake was on a bed of mixed something...sweet and good. Endless iced tea refills. They seem to enjoy using their logo swirl to decorate some of the dishes--silly but cute. The two of us ate for around $30. Will return."

  • "The space is great and the outdoor seating area is beautiful but the food is just so-so. Ordered a filet and while it was cooked well it lacked seasoning and the cut was terrible. Filet is not supposed to be tough and chewy. Sides were good. But the shrimp cocktail was obviously frozen not fresh. Service was very very slow too. Won't be rushing back to dine there again but I may give it another shot sometime in the future."

  • "This was a last minute decision for dinner and I'm happy we did. The food was outstanding, great presentation. I discovered an Almond Joy Martini that was awesome! Our server was very attentive and gave us this awesome surprise at the end of the meal.....very relaxing."

  • "Pond House Grill has a lot of favorites on the menu. The ones we tried were fine but not spectacular. My partner had barbecued babyback ribs, a very generous portion that had been done with a rub and grilled till crusty. They were falling off the bones tender but a bit dry. (We had leftovers and the next day when heated in the microwave they were moist and delicious.). I got clam chowder which had a smoky flavor from bacon that overpowered the clams--good but not great. A Caesar salad was delicious."

  • "The food is good. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, house salad and a steak, My guest had a bowl chili, salad and salmon, all cooked and seasoned quite nicely. The staff, though attentive, seemed to lack training and actually asked in what order the food should be served. Appetizer, salad and entrée appears normal - sadly the staff couldn't seem to comprehend that. I ve eaten there a few times, always nice food, but there must be a high turnover in staff or simply no time training them."

  • "We chose three Small Plate dishes from the main menu. The Scallops and Sticks were good. The two scallops were a little undercooked for our liking but they did taste delicious. The potato sticks and slaw were more like a garnish. The Veggies from the Deep were also very good with a creamy, Chipotle Ranch dipping sauce that had just the right amount of heat. The Cheese platter had a wide variety of tasty cheeses/crackers and the fig jam and the local honey comb was a very nice, sweet contrast. The live music added to the ambiance. The restaurant itself had a nice "artsy" feel. The wine was good and the waitress was attentive without being overwhelming or cloying. All elements combined to make it a nice night out in Glastonbury."

  • "Food was fair. Electronic menu was not user friendly but that may be because of the "cute" way they differentiated between entress that came with sides and grill items where you pick your sides. Hard to figure out how/what to order. Service was a problem. Sent one meal back when it came with the wrong side. Another meal came with 2 sides when we only ordered 1. Had to send the incomprehensible bill back twice because it was wrong. Finally gave up after the 3rd try because it was within $3 of what it should have been. Our experience was a surprise because we eat at the Pond House Cafe often and love it."

  • "Hi, the Pond House very nicely set up a table for 13 of us to have dinner on Saturday night, June 7th, before going to a dance in the banquet part of the facility. I had used Open Table to reserve a table, could only get two tables for 6, but then I stopped in and the restaurant was able to set up a large table, and arrange for separate checks as needed. The food was wonderful, our server, I think that her name is Rosie but I could be wrong, was very attentive. There were a couple of slow spots, bread took a while, as did dessert. The checks were handled as we had asked. Our group was very happy to have choices between small plates or entrees. The haddock ran out which seemed odd for only 6PM/ Very good experience."

  • "This was our first visit to the Pond House Grille in Glastonbury. The menu does have a lot of interesting choices on it. I had the Pond House crab cakes & salad; My husband had the pan seared duck breast. The basmati rice & curry on which the crab cake came was delicious. The crab cake was breadier than I like. The taste of the crab cake was average. The duck breast was beautifully presented atop onions & potatos but it was advertised as being a spicy dish. It was not but the duck was good. We loved the ambience in the restaurant, our server was very knowledgeable and attentive and the prices are reasonable. We will go back again to check out other menu options."

  • "My date and I went to Pomd House last Saturday (5/31) and had an awesome time. From the cocktails to the main course the food was excellent and perfectly prepared. The wait staff was very informative and made great suggestions when asked. A definite return trip is in the future. "

  • "PHG offers a small buffet, but combines it with a complicated option for adding items from the menu. With the buffet, you can add (for free) any a la carte entree without its accompaniments; but you can't add a side. The buffet also comes with a free cocktail. The so-called frittata is really a quiche. House-made hash is oily and unauthentic. Biscuits and gravy is a travesty of the beloved southern dish: a huge sweet biscuit (at least 6" round) with a lava flow of brown gravy, and neither component hot. A poached egg served with vegetarian hash was barely cooked, and the hash contained bacon -- hardly vegetarian. The ricotta filling in the stuffed French toast is not the soft, creamy version you'd expect. Not returning."

  • "Our waiter copped an "attitude" when we asked for written (as opposed to a tablet) wine list and went down hill from there. He did not pay anywhere near the attention he should have and demonstrated an inadequate knowledge of the menu. As far as food preparation is concerned, the lamb chop special was a disaster - burned on the outside, well-done at the surface and medium at the bone. I tried this restaurant because of consistently great meals at its Hartford sister establishment, the Pond House Cafe. In the future, I will spend my dollars at the cafe."

  • "While I have dined repeatedly at the Pond House in West Hartford, this was my first brunch experience and first overall experience at the Glastonbury location. While I have always been very impressed with WH, I was slightly disappointed with the brunch for Mother's Day. The outdoor dining was lovely, as it was a gorgeous day and our server was excellent! However, I only found the food to be average at best. There were a few excellent dishes--crab cake benedict and salmon/puff pastry. I found the rest of the dishes very uninspiring. I will go back to try the regular menu, but definitely wouldn't spend the $40 per person for such a mediocre meal. "

  • "I was pleasantly surprised when The Flintstones-sized full rack of ribs arrived at the table. I rarely take home left-overs and had enough for the next day's lunch. A great value for the bucks. Very personable staff, though a touch pokey delivering our entrees. (It was the night before Mother's Day so I can cut them some slack.)"

  • "All was great except the cold soup. This place is wonderful in many ways; nice ambiance, mood brightening decor with good lighting. The noise level was relatively quiet. I met two friends for lunch. Two of us had the Lunch Express; soup, half a sandwich, dessert. Another person ordered the scallops without tartar sauce. Both soups arrived cold, and the scallops had tartar sauce. Our waitress was admirable in how she handled it. Honestly, the ham and cheese sandwich was unremarkable, and could have used a little more ham and cheese. It ended up being mostly greens. Despite this, we enjoyed ourselves. Our waitress was very personable without being cloying which made the experience nice. I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN!! "

  • "I frequent the Pond House for Friday night dinner and live music. I can always get a table which is tough in Glastonbury on the weekends. The reason I keep going back is the food is really good. They have some service issues, it gets a bit confusing with multiple people delivering drinks and food and this last time I went, took 20 mins to get a first round of drinks and we were seated with no menus. They have ipad menus that do not match their actual menu. Nice to have pictures of the food, which are a good representation but they need to go back to a paper menu or update the ipads. I would think this is the whole point of going electronic so it can easily and cheaply be updated. Have never had a bad meal here so I keep going back. "

  • "Was looking forward to trying this restaurant - what a disappointing experience! The food was mediocre at best. Had the crab and avocado salad and I thought they forgot to add the crab. It was such a small amount, it looked like a little shredded chesse. The server was kind and got us some more crab (two of us ordered it); however, I found her style very awkward and it ended up annoying two people at our table. This place is WAY over priced. Felt like I was eating at a chain restaurant, but the prices were high end restaurant. Very disappointed and will not return. "

  • "So I had the pleasure of going to the Pond House for a first date and it was certainly a solid evening. The space is absolutely beautiful and completely quiet for a Wednesday evening (This is a HUGE plus in my book). Everything was pretty much satisfactory, however it dawned on me halfway through the meal that this space is only great for events. Our waitress was friendly, but not nearly knowledgable about the food or the wine list. This is something you can't blame on her however, it's really managements job to train their waitstaff to know and even upsell items on the list. The food was good, but nothing great. It's what you would expect from a wedding buffet, but not at a top notch restaurant. However, it was a very decent meal."

  • "Our family was looking forward to a scrumptious brunch buffet as advertised, but we were sadly disappointed. The pre-made scrambled eggs were hard and cold. The homemade corned beef hash was very tough and filled with gristle. There was no fresh fruit salad at all - fresh fruit is a must have on any brunch table. Dessert was mostly store bought candy and the pastries were all picked through. There were a couple bright spots such as the service and some of the food items. The waitress was very accommodating and even brought out some cut melon after I asked about the fresh fruit. The vegetarian chili was especially delicious as was the Indian rice. Overall, it was an over-priced, underwhelming experience and we will not be back again."

  • "For $40 per person, plus tax and gratuity, I would expect more than what was offered in the buffet. Apparently, my brunch included one a la carte item and a 'brunch drink', what ever that is. I was not given an a la carte menu, so we never got to enjoy any of that food. I guess the a la carte brunch drink was the coffee. I ended up paying $50 for bacon and eggs, a bagel and coffee. A few weeks ago, I had a very enjoyable dinner at the Pond House Grille. I will go back again for dinner, never for brunch. "

  • "Wow, the brunch buffet definitely missed the mark! While some of the items at the buffet were tasty, other items were dry (the corn bread!) and had been sitting out for some time. The idea of having the buffet is outstanding but the execution was a total miss. the cocktail, oh boy, has anyone else ever had to chew their Bloody Mary? So bad!"

  • "The Pond House is very attractive but confusing inside...it gives off a classic vibe on the outside but inside are Andy Warhol prints-slightly incongruous. The hostess was young and uninterested. She sat us and told me she could take my coat, then left without it. Our server was new, but committed. She knew the menu and she was engaged. Our bottle of wine came ten minutes after the cheese plate-not o.k. The cheese was fair, and arranged with no care. The main courses were adequate. The menus were awful-on ipads."

  • "Food was very good. Haddock excellent, surf & turf very good (pan seared scallop portion was excellent), scallops with pasta very good, and seafood special very good. Only issue was time - seemed to take quite some time for dinner to be served. Other than that, excellent!"
