Pomodoros South Asheville offers an authentic Mediterranean experience in the heart of Western North Carolina. Drawing our inspiration from the countries of Greece and Italy, we tempt the palate with three separate menus (Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch) of diverse and innovative dishes using the freshest and finest ingredients. Pomodoros is a full service restaurant that provides an extensive wine list, a full bar, catering, and friendly service.

Our three distinct menus reflect our commitment to providing only the finest fresh ingredients. Our cuisine pairs regional traditions of Greece and Italy with the diverse culinary talents of our chefs. "The basis of each dish is always in the tradition of the region, but the ingredients guide the way to new delights as well as old favorites."

Pomodoros uses only the finest oils that have zero Trans-Fats and are not partially hydrogenated.

  • "I love Pomodoras but this time was terrible. We were seated right on time. However it took 15 minutes before a server came to our table. It then took another 10 minutes to get a glass of water. We got appetizer not long after this but we sat forever and still did not get our salad. After setting at the table for 55 minute and with all the table around us being messed up by our waiter, we left money on our table to pay for the appetizer and left. I hate to say it but service at our favorite place to dine was terrible."

The ground beef/italian sausage mixture was delicious. It wasn't too much of anything... garlic, tart, sweet, bitter, thick, thin....it was just right in every respect. Excellent service in a very cozy, quiet atmosphere. Thank you."

  • "We eat at this Pomodoros probably 10 times a year or more and have never been disappointed in the food or service. Our most recent visit was on Valentine's Day and they were about four times busier than normal and that reflected in both service and food--but not enough to complain (at least for a regular). Our server recommended that we up our usual meat doneness by a stage from medium rare to medium for the lamb and it turned out closer to medium well. He noticed it immediately and offered to take it back, but the flavor was good, the restaurant packed and everything else was totally up to par. At the end we ordered a coffee and it was cold. He knew it and it never showed up on the bill. This is a classic steady eddy."

  • "We met our daughter at Pomodoros South for dinner. We have been there many times and often take or meet others there. Service is always very good. The food is excellent though the menu choices are limited. They do offer nightly specials which we have had and are always excellent. Their pomodoro and marinara sauces are very good. The salads are fresh and Yiayia's dressing should be bottled and sold at the door. On there wine list we found a red Greek wine, Tormoresca, that is awesome. You must try the Avgolemono soup and the Saganaki app. The seafood there is fresh and delicious, try the mussels."

  • "Found thsi restaurant on the spur of the moment through Opentable. We were just passing through Asheville and felt like Greek food. It is situated in a strip mall which gaveus pause, but once we were inside we were very pleased with the food and wine selection. Apparently, this is a frequent haunt for corporate groups which can add to the noise level, however, once you get past that everything was quite good. Even with the large groups, the waitstaff was really efficient at getting everything out to our table. This is definitely a "go back to" place should we be back in town."
