Diner Reviews
  • "Brunch was fantastic. I had the amaretto toast and a mimosa. Delicious! Would definitely go back again."

  • "We enjoyed our first time for Brunch at Pomodora East. Both entrees were wonderful and our service was great. We will definitely return to this restaurant."

  • "Overall menu selection small but powerful combinations with excellent quality and taste. We were just a party of two but ordered seven different menu items and all were prepared superb. Reservation made with specific request for outside dining, upon arrival no outside table available. Inquired about request and was informed "outside is first come, first serve". Not a great answer or explanation given. Quick recovery to vacate a table, and provide desired location. Service was good. Any negatives at this restaurant were surely forgotten as the memory of the food lingers on, and on, and on,....."

  • "We eat here regularly. Whether you order Fig & Pig pizza or their Flat Iron Steak, it's amazing."

  • "I brought a six weary travelers in on a Saturday night & had a lovely, relaxing meal. The restaurant atmosphere is nice, but not stuffy. The pizza & pasta is always tasty here & there's something for everyone to enjoy on the menu . The Pizzas & pastas are always quite tasty. My husband tried the pork belly dish, & it was phenomenal! Our server was very pleasant & patient with our large party. The hostess was also very accommodating when we needed to push our reservation back from 7:30 to 8 pm due to a flight delay, which was appreciated after a long day. All in all an excellent experience!"

  • "Good food, not a large selection for my friends but satisfied me. (Pork belly was mmmm) Bar seemed limited and drinks ordered were not that great. The noise level was beyond being able to talk across the table. Of course we were there on a Saturday night. Our service was wonderful, attentive and gracious."

  • "We've celebrated several milestones at PE. This was our 40th anniversary, and Pomodoro East was our "go to" place once again."

  • "We love this restaurant. The food is creative, delicious, the service is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The pig and fig pizza is my personal favorite, the description says it all. There is also a three style cheese appetizer which is divine. The wines are great and overall everything is very well priced and great value. We have not had the pleasure of dining on their terrace but it must be amazing in summer. There is a kids menu too which our kids love, although my 12 year old son craves for the parmesan chicken. Don't hesitate to try it if you have not done so already. It takes us almost 30 minutes drive to get there but its always worth it."

  • "This is a great spot for a group of friends to gather; vibrant, a range of menu options, and great, upbeat service. I had a pork belly and polenta dish that was really good. A dish of meatballs and pasta was less satisfying, but over all the food is good and not just a range of the usual Italian 'red sauce' offerings. The wine list is short - and surprisingly lacking in Italian wines. This was our second visit where the red was quite warm. I'd strongly recommend taking your own and paying corkage."

  • "The atmosphere is nice, really cool and unique design. Small selection on entrées and over priced. $20 for spaghetti and $19 for chicken Parmesan that was burnt around the sides. Dessert was good, but very tiny portions for $8.00. Service was okay, did what needed to be done. Fried green tomatoes were awesome. I wouldn't go back though, I'll stick to amerigos."

  • "Dinner was ok. Set menu was a little stiff but understandable due to V-day traffic. Very nice ambience, hipster but upscale."

  • "Everything about Pomodoro East is perfect including the chef makes a unique, but different each time, plate for my vegan husband!"

  • "Local neighborhood restaurant with good food and average service. Worth a visit."

  • "Pomodoro is one of my go to restsurants. The food and service are consistently good. They have a good happy hour as well. Though not necessarily a typical kids restaurant, I regularly take my 10 year old daughter & she loves it and feels welcome."

  • "10/10 for appetizers. Had the onion rings and cheese plate. The tea was way to sweet! 2 of the dishes were super salty: Pesto Alfredo and parmesan chicken. The fig n pig pizza I had it and changed it to fig n chicken. Had great favors, however, way to much flour on the bottom and very little chicken, the outer edges were to browned. The special: spinach manicotti was yum. To much spinach for my non eating vegetable vegetarian husband. I had it for lunch the next day. Reheated well. A little over 100$ without alcohol for 4 adults."

  • "The spaghetti was too spicy. The Caesar salad was good, but not great. My friend said her spinach and mushroom pizza was very good."

  • "We had dinner here on Valentine's Day it was our first visit. It was a great experience, our dinner was delicious, wine pairing was excellent. We were very impressed with the noise level we actually could converse with the couple we were dining out with and could hear each other pleasantly. We definitely will be back!"

  • "Easily one of my favorite locations. Great Happy Hour too! The food and service has never disappointed."

  • "Went day after Valentines for dinner. Service was quick considering how busy the place was. Drinks were good, with a decent beer and wine list. Had carpaccio to start, it was excellent. Wife had chicken parm, well prepared and was a huge portion of chicken. I had pork chop with fried green tomatoes and mac and cheese. Pork was decent. Fried green tomatoes had cheese inside, cooked about perfect. Probably the best I've ever had. Mac and cheese is a penne style pasta, with a white cheese sauce and sausage. I'd go back again just to eat the mac and cheese. Well worth the price, excellent spot for special occasions or having a few drinks on the porch."

  • "The food was great. Very fresh and not too heavy. I do wish the menu had been a little more extensive. There were only 6 entrees on the menu, but with that said, my husband and I didn't have trouble finding something to try. Very tasty and not overly expensive. We had the Lava Cake for dessert. It was ok...not great. The portion size was also on the small side, but again, not a terrible size for topping off the meal. Overall, I'd definitely go back. The waitstaff was very knowledgable about the menu and seemed eager to answer any questions."

  • "The good was great and the service was as well. However, it was way too loud. I'd expect to be paying less than half of what I did just for the noise level. Two people eating at $120, I'd expect a little more. The good was quote good and that's what saved the experience. The seating was uncomfortable and it was extremely crowded. Overall I'd give them 3.5/5 stars."

  • "We wanted to try somewhere new. The food was really great. The kids enjoyed their food along with the adults. We will definitely go back."

  • "From our wine (an Itialian Pinot Grigio), to the entrees (Pork Chop, Shrimp & Polenta), to the dessert (Tiramisu), everything was delicious! Very friendly staff and great services as well!"

  • "Friendly and Service was very good. A bit loud. Food was uneven. Calamari was excellent. The trout was very good. On the other hand, the shrimp with polenta, although tasty was excessively salty. The braised shortrib, also tasty was tough. Frankly I am skeptical that the meat was short rib rather than a chunk of braised round or sirloin. Desserts and wine were very good. I may go again but probably will order a pasta dish - the ones that passed my table en route to others looked good."

  • "The atmosphere was nice, the service good, but the food was... meh. My granddaughter got the pork chop, and it was tough and chewy. The fried green tomatoe was fine, but she wouldn't eat the Mac and cheese ( neither would I). She loves mac and cheese, but this was tasteless mush. My shrimp was good, especially the polenta. Overall, the food was NOT worth the price. I won't return for awhile..."

  • "don't tell nashville about this fine establishment in easty, i'd hate to fight the crowds that would certainly flock...so comfortable, at the bar in front of the wood-fired oven, or in a cozy table, we've never had a mediocre meal here...everything unique, well thought out and adventured...i love the new combinations and the friendly staff...and the though the bar is limited (can we step up the bourbon choices) they'll still make you whatever you want with their flair...a happy hour as happy as any...cheers!"

  • "We have not had one thing we didn't like at Pomodoro East. Their regular menu is amazing, and their happy hour is such a great deal, great portions for only $5!"

  • "The pizzas at Pomodoro East standout at first glance, falling just slightly short of the hype given by the delicious description. The appetizers, and rosemary cake-like bread that start the meal sets a fitting tone for the delicious meal to come. And to finish it off: the most interesting cherry ice-cream pair with fried fillo dough. A great find."
