A word from Pogacha of Issaquah
Welcome to Pogacha!

We feature a Northwest menu with the added flair of the Adriatic. Our cuisine is often described as Italian in that we feature pizzas (aka Pogachas) and pastas. At lunch time, we also feature sandwiches and salad. We bake our sandwich buns and serve fresh rolls with each menu twice a day and also use the dough for our gourmet pizzas. Our dinner menu includes seafood and steaks, lamb and beef tenderloin skewers along with our salads, pizzas and pastas. We have a large bar with a great appetizer selection and daily happy hours. Private dining rooms are available for special functions and events.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Tucked away off the road almost from sight, we were delighted to discover the great gem of a restaurant. The service was excellent, and they were very accommodating when Seattle traffic delayed us 20 minutes. We each had the salmon with mango salsa, cooked to our preferred doneness at their request. The fish was clearly fresh and the portion was huge. In spite of two large parties in our dining room, the noise level never interfered with conversation. We're so delighted to have found Pogacha! THANKS to the earlier reviews that encouraged us to try it out; we never would have found it on our own."

  • "My wife and I went there for our wedding anniversary. We always like to try out new places when we have an occasion. The service and food were both very good and reasonably priced."

  • "A little noisy with the live music in the bar, but the dining area is far enough away to keep it at a minimum. Was a bit underwhelmed with my steak, but the other entrees served to the party went over well. Great apps on the menu. Recommend for happy hour."

  • "This is our "go-to" restaurant before heading over to Village Theater to use our season tickets. The food is very good, the service is excellent, the wait staff is cheerful and friendly. "

  • "Ask for chopped salad and chicken Madeira ravioli. Wife and I were going to share both. Waitress split the orders onto separate plates for us! Awesome "

  • "It was a nice day asked to be seated outside. No one else was outside when we were seated. There had been others outside but the tables were not cleaned up after they left. The food was very good. "

  • "I was very impressed with Pogacha's Mothers Day Brunch. The buffet was magnificent. We would definitely come again."

  • "Such a cute space, well staffed and good service provided, it's a shame the kitchen didn't match the front end. Dinner companion and I ordered Beet Salad, Warmed Goat Cheese Appetizer and Crab Cakes. The salad and goat cheese were good. The crab cakes were way over fried. Fried so dark and crispy that it totally dried out the crab. It didn't even taste like crab anymore and what a shame since it was a lot of crab, no real filler. "

  • "My wife and I and our two daughters have been going here for Easter brunch for a couple years and are always very satisfied. I actually made a reservation somewhere else this year just to try something different but the girls insisted we go back here. As always, the food was perfect and we all walked away happy. The price is very reasonable as well."

  • "It was sort of bland, really needed more lemon and seasoning. Pan juices are so important to this dish, but there was no evidence of that. I think the chicken should be "pounded" and flattened more, then cooked very quickly, instead of sort of thick the way mine was. the veggies were undercooked, hard rubber unseasoned. mash potatoes were good. My husband ordered the same thing and his chicken was overcooked and dry. Our friends' food looked good and I did not hear any complaints. "

  • "We sat in the bar because the dining area was so dark for lunch. Bar staff/waitress was great and the food was delicious. She brought a wonderful bread pudding gratis for the birthday girl. Reasonable cost...Would go again!"

  • "As always Pogacha's comes through with a good evening out. Server was prompt, informative and friendly. Food was well presented and tasty. Veal Marsala (evening special) and salmon were our choices. Very good."

  • "This was our first visit to Pogacha. We each tasted the 2 salads and 3 entrees. The dressing on the beet salad lacked flavor and the apple/walnut/gorgonzola was okay; both would have been improved with fresh ground pepper which was not offered. The signature pasta with chicken and port-soaked grapes was too sweet; the sauce was unbalanced but improved with some balsamic vinegar, salt and fresh ground pepper. The chicken over mushroom ravioli was good, a little gummy, and lacked salt. (I do not add salt to everything, but salt enhances flavor and most dishes need some). The 4 season pogacha was not good: it was doughy, not crisp, and had too much cream without any identifiable flavors. The wines were nice. We will not likely eat here again."

  • "We had reservations. My companion and I sat in the waiting area for over ten minutes. When I saw a group of people come in and get seated before us WITHOUT reservations I thought something was amiss. I didn't say anything though, because I knew the hostess was aware of of presence (we were sitting right in front of her). I thought perhaps a table for 4 opened up before the table for 2 and that's why they got seated, so we kept waiting. After another 10 mins, the hostess comes up to me and asks, "Are you waiting for something?" And I said, "Yes! Our table! We had reservations at 7:30." It was like she hadn't even seen us before. It was not a good first impression for an otherwise enjoyable dining experience."

  • "Our group of three couples had a wonderful dinner after going to the Beat the Winter Brews Fest event at Gilman Village. Everyone enjoyed their meals and enjoyed the music as well. Pogacha is always consistent and we have enjoyed ourselves every time we have had a meal here."

  • "Waited very long between courses. Tiring, boring, and hungry. Foods seemed okay, on the better side. Outside looks okay, but the dining area wasn't very attractive...low ceiling, perhaps? And one part of the ceiling was concave, seemingly leaking."

  • "Every time we have been to Pogacha we have had excellent food, excellent service, and a wonderful time. We have been to celebrate our anniversary, Valentine's Day, and my husband's company Christmas party as well. We've never been disappointed."

  • "I've been a fan of the Issaquah location since I worked for a food distributer and would deliver to the location. When I needed a romantic dinner for my then girlfriend (now my wife) Pogacha came through with flying colors and we've been loyal customers ever since. We've been coming to Pogacha every year for our anniversary and it's a great experience every time. The food is great and the servers are all very pleasant and attentive. Definitely go here if you are looking for an intimate romantic dinner!"

  • "Pogacha is a fantastic blend of several types of spots. It fits whether you are casual or a bit more spiffy, since both will feel comfortable. You can get pizza (well, Pogacha, which is better) & burgers, or step up to crafted seafoods, pastas or prime rib. My favorites are there tender lamb shank, or the burger that's half beef/half lamb. Leave cheese off it and enjoy how rich it is."

  • "We made a reservation to have dinner at Pogacha on Friday night before attending the play at Village Theater. The three of us were very pleased with our food selections, the service was outstanding and we got to the play in plenty of time. We will be back!"

  • "Our server was far too slow for a luncheon service. Not certain if the problem was his or the kitchen's. Next time I will alert the server we have limited time."

  • "The experience wasn't worth the expense. Crab Manicotti was dry and the Chicken Madeira was tough. Had to wait for beverage refills and ask twice for a glass of wine."

  • "Food was great and the service was excellent. The Tomato Basil Soup was the best I've ever had. The Salad (apple, walnut, cheese) was perfect with just the right amount of dressing to enhance not smother. The Salmon salad was a tad too spicy. Could have turned the heat down a bit on that one. Would have been a perfect evening except for the noise level. Hate to have to lean in to the table to hear the person sitting right across from me. Still a great place to eat with an excellent location if you are going to the Village Theatre. We will be returning to Pogacha's in Issaquah."

  • "This was our 2nd time to Pogacha after having a wonderful dinner December. This time was very disappointing. The service was poor. I think the waitress was overwhelmed. We sat in a room in the back of the restaurant that looked out at the back parking lot. This room has absolutely none of the charm of the rest of the restaurant. I ordered the lamb shank, it showed up looking steaming hot, turns out the sauce was hot but the meat was cold in the middle. One bright spot a very nice young man who was busing the room was very pleasant) Very disappointing after a nice first experience. Unfortunately, we will be trying someplace else for our Saturday theater night."

  • "My daughter and I decided to have dinner at Pogacha before an evening at the theater. We arrived 90 minutes prior to the event at the theater. We were seated and ordered quickly and let the server know we had tickets to the local theater - infact I left the tickets on the table as a gentle reminder. Our beverages and salads came quickly but we waited and waited for our dinner order to arrive. Finally about 25 minutes before the event at the theater (over an hour since being seated) our dinner was placed on the table. We ended up taking our meal in a box. The day old dinner was OK - would have been better when served. My family and I are regular customers - but not likely to return. Wallace"

  • "I love the menu here. So many choices in the form of salads, pastas, pogachas (thin crust pizzas) all very appealing. Everything tasted great. The wine list was also quite acceptable with a nice range in price. I can't wait to come back again."

  • "We had Christmas Eve dinner there this year. Lovely décor. Great service. The food is always excellent. Mushroom ravioli are the best! Salads are fresh and never over dressed. No wonder they are still around. We only wish that we had room for dessert."

  • "Great spot to have dinner before going to the Village Theater. Look on the back of your play ticket, sometimes there is a coupon as the restaurant is a sponsor of the local playhouse (which is world class by the way and something you should take advantage of!!). We will be going to eat here again when coming to Issaquah."

  • "The food was delicious, it was really noisy and I could not hear my date from across the table -- we were sitting in a booth, service was okay -- find it really annoying when they bring your main meal out at the same time as your appetizer."

  • "The restaurant accomodated our bigger group and provided separate checks which is always appreciated. The waiter also honored a coupon for one group who met the criteria. We were going to the theatre and had left 1.75 hours and the waiter was attentive and fast enough without us feeling rushed at the end. Good experience!"

  • "Just having warm pogachas delivered to your table is worth the trip here. I had a delicious soup and great caesar salad and one of our friends had the marsala sauced ravioli - very tasty!"

  • "I had the Salmon Fettucine which had probably 8 cut out pieces (almost 1-inch) of salmon on top of the pasta. I don't use salt but I had to this time to give my food some flavor beside the green sauce and an abundance of olive oil that was used for the pasta. The salmon was pretty tasty on its own, baked in smoke. They had a generous list of wine for selection. I had the Malbec since that is my favorite; but I did not care for this one. I questioned the server whether it was really a Malbec and not a Merlot or something else since it was too acidic and did not have the bold, full body taste a good Malbec usually has."
