Our second visit was just as enjoyable as the first. Both times we all loved the rock shrimp tempura in a spicy aioli sauce, vegetable fried rice, sushi & salad. It was kind of funny we were like overdressed...We were seated on the side were everybody had to pass.
Our waitress was a super girl that saw the humor of it.
My wife had the wagyu beef cooked on a stone at the table. A very nice guy came over to our table and grilled the meat just like my wife wanted it. I had the mixed maki and sashimi platter and I really liked it.
So after all it was a great evening with a possitive atmosphere and we did'd feel sorry for having our dinner I

I would highly recommend the Red lychee martini, Rock shrimp with candied walnuts, Shrimp Pad Thai and Kung Pao chicken and shrimo stir fry! If you love peanut butter try the fluffernutter spring rolls which is my absolute favorite dessert at Pod!! Definitely worth the hour drive! Our server Dane was fantastic and knowledgeable. He was able to answer any question we asked and give us recommendations. I ordered the wasabi crusted filet which was cooked to perfection and my friend ordered the miso glazed seabass, also done precisely. We went Dim Sum style with 3 of us eating all of the dishes. We had grape leaves with beef and pork buns which were to die for. You HAVE to get the kobe beef cooked table side! We had one entree- the duck- and it was a great portion with great seasoned veggies.
The waitress was fantastic in suggesting drinks from their interesting drink menu.

The servers are gracious, attentive but not overbearing, even when they are busy.
The restaurant tends to be noisy because of the decor, and the tables in the middle are close together.

We ordered about 9 appetizers, small plates and vergitable sides between 4 of us. It was more than enough food. Everything was excellent. The bok choy and mushrooms were wonderful. The sushi; delicious. The crab eggrolls are tasty although very overpriced for what they are. I think to really like 8 out of 9 dishes is a pretty good record. It is a noisey place, but that goes along with decor and overall atmosphere. Bit noisy, tables are close together but the vibe is cool there, great service and great people watching. Food comes out as it is prepared so not a course by course type dinner, but great for sharing. WE had a few spectacular dishes, but then some that were mediocre also. I would recommend the Negi Toro, the miso sea bass and the spicy tuna roll. The Saki was awesome, the martini choice was limited and it tasted fine but nothing fancy. The mochi ice cream was odd and I would not recommend it for the price.
