Plumsteadville InnMother's Day 2013I took my 87-year-old mother to the Inn for brunch, and we enjoyed it very much. The buffet had a good variety to choose from without being overwhelming for an older person, and the food was fresh and delicious. The eggs benedict were especially nice, along with the Mimosas they had on special. The service people are very attentive and make you feel so relaxed and not rushed. The Boom Boom Shrimp are fantastic as well as the steak to the fish and chips. First time there. It was our 26th Anniversary. Ate in the dining room by the window next to the outdoor garden/patio. Some music noise from bar area, but that night it was nice piano music. The food was excellent!! We had the crab cakes which were outstanding. I had the filet mignon that was excellent too. The restaurant is located at a busy intersection with a traffic light. Some noise from the road, especially trucks, so dining on the outdoor patio would be noisy at times. We will absolutely go back! Very nice menu. Great place!!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner was excellent! Went for lunch this time with my in-laws and 2 kids ages 4 and 5. It was beautifully decorated, service was very good and the food was very good as well. We hadn't been there in many years, but we intend to return.
They seated us in the enclosed porch area, a beautiful setting.
The service was very efficient and we were never rushed.
All the entrees we ordered were delicious, ranging from filet mignon and
the crab cakes to scallops, chicken parmigiana and chicken stir-fry.
Salads were generously portioned and the desserts were decadent and reasonably

Simple but elegant with a slight colonial touch. That being said, we had a draft beer at bar prior to dinner. We took our beverage to our table. Our dinning partners ordered two drafts when they got to our very elegantly dressed table. Nice china, linen table clothe and napkins, their drafts were presented to the table in basic tumblers witty a Philadelphia Flyers emblem on it. So ugly for such an elegant room. Additionally butter for baked potato in small paper cups on plate. The Inn has come so far but some attention to detail and is a miss. Just cants get past dollar store level beer glasses.
