"I have eaten at Plum several times and it is always great. My favorite offering is the size of the meal portions. They are small, but each of the meals (starters, vegetables/grains, animal and cheese) complements each other nicely. Giving a sense of free to order whatever you’d like off the diner menu. Also the addition of Plum Bar has opened up a great cocktail list to sample from before your meal. All around a great dinner place for any occasion."

"Our server was great and very knowledgeable. The cocktails were amazingly fresh with farmers-market-bought produce (which was especially fresh for a Sunday). The food was pretty much 100% fantastic. We have a large group and all were small plates, so we ordered almost everything on the menu.
Our four favourites out of the eleven dishes, in order, were:
1)the beet-sausage plate
2)tiramisu
3)the halibut dish
4)cauliflower/bulgar dish

Other items we ordered and enjoyed were:
-Entree of Polenta
-Mushroom Raviolis
-Miso Asparagus Appetiser
-Pork and Belly
-Artichoke&fingerlings hummus plate
-White chocolate tart with lime glaze
-(and one more dessert that I am spacing on)
All were delicious and fresh but we loved the first fou"

"Went for a date with my significant other (4/8/12). Both of us expressed a piqued interest in the cocktail menu but through the duration of the meal only ended up having two drinks. This is far below what we were expecting to drink, and I expect the waiter to be more accommodating when it comes to ensuring that I have a fresh cocktail, considering the price, markup, and inevitable bump to his tip. I was disappointed about that. The waiter also forgot to put in the order for our charcuterie, and so as we were left to be hungry we were then served our entrees, to our surprise. I asked the waiter about the charcuterie, but he was nonplussed and did not offer an apology. The entree was delicious, but too small."

"Split decision between my wife and I on our anniversary. I thought the serving sizes were fine - we just needed to order a side or two (angliotti, etc.) in addition to our shared appetizers and main course. My wife complained she left hungry because the portions were too small (hence the need for another side).

The food was good - the "ham hock and pea" soup and the artichoke heart and fingerling potato salad. I though the pork belly entree was fine. My wife liked most of the lamb -- although she did not like the lamb bacon (I enjoyed it). The food is fresh, organic and mostly local (the San Diego halibut obviously wasn't totally local).

The wine list was decent although slightly pricey. Service was above-average."

"Food was delicious. Loved the cauliflower with dates especially, but the halibut entree and asparagus appetizer were also terrific. Thought the beet verdoun dish was just odd and did not eat it. Dessert menu didn't really grab me, but that was okay because my meal was so healthy I felt good about skipping the sweets at the end.

Service was good, if inconsistent. At times it was totally spot on, and at times it was lacking a bit. Our cocktails were watery because the ice had time to melt before they were brought to our table, and dishes sat empty on our table while our server was deep in conversation with other guests...but it wasn't a big deal. Just worth noting if you're picky about such things.
