"Our first time there for dinner. It's ok; nothing special in our opinion. The service was good, but the food wasn't anything to rave about. It was quiet, although we were next to a couple of guys who must have thought they were so interesting, that we'd like to hear all about it too. That kind of annoyance; not the fault of the restaurant, just 2 blowhards."

"I really tried to like Plein Sud but it fell short on several fronts. The food was very ordinary and had no or little imagination. The brioche french toast sounded so appealing but it was dry and booring. The bacon was curled,dried out and was room temperature. Another guest had an omelet which was pretty standard. The flatbread with ham and cheese topped with 2 eggs was good not great. One person ordered the Nutella pancakes and they were best offering out of the 5 orders. The pancakes were fluffy and no overwhelmed by the Nutella. The cocktails were good but we waited at least 15 minutes before they arrived. The service was pedestrian at best. The first waiter was straightforward with zero personality.Not Smythe like standards."

"A few things on the menu really stood out. The skirt steak, trio of tartare, and french fries were excellent. Servers were excellent, and gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne for our recent engagement."
