  • "Never heard of this restaurant before and decided to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and Service. Everything on the Valentine dinner menu was exquisite, two thumbs up to the chef ! The service was outstanding, the waitress was very courteous and going out of her way to accommodate my request to change table, twice actually ! My GF did not like the first one because it was close to the kitchen and the second one because it was too dark, we got a perfectly centered table and a glass of champagne on the house as bonus ! I will be going back for sure"

  • "After dinner I looked at the bill which was 170. Since the server remembered my girlfriend was lactose intolerant and ensured no dairy was in our food I decided to leave him a good tip. I left about 40 dollars (a little over 20 percent) in cash for the server. Obviously this way he doesn't have to claim it to the IRS and he gets the tip he deserved. The next day when I checked my bank account I noticed they had billed me 204 dollars. EXACTLY 20 percent of the bills total more than what I signed to put on my credit card. They added gratuity to the total AFTER I had signed for it WITHOUT my permission. I don't know how it's legal or possible but they have yet to return my money to me. Do not eat here."

  • "I brought my lady here for Valentine's day, we both loved it! The four course dinner was excellent and the dessert was delicious it was a Chocolate pyramid strawberries with balsamic vinaigrette (different but good) and pistachio ice cream! The restaurant had a nice ambiance and they had people playing the saxophone and piano it made for a really nice evening! The service there was great, I'll definitely be back."

  • "The food was overall very nicely prepared. The prices were high, and the quantities weren't as much as I'd prefer, but sufficient. It was nice having high quality live music. My Yelp coupon was not accepted for the Valentine's Day fixe price menu, which was disappointing. The coffee was too bitter for my taste, and even 2 teaspoons of sugar didn't sweeten it. The spinach salad, pasta, and halibut dishes were all very rich tasting and enjoyable. Desert was very artistically presented."

  • "We real enjoyed dinner at Plate and Vine. Great table, sweet server, good wine and delicious food. We don't spend over $100 on dinner too often but we will definitely be back next time we need a little celebration. The lobster mac n cheese was amazing. I had the Duck and Pasta and he had the new york, and we also shared brussell sprouts. So with 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine, it was a good value."

  • "I was sort of hoping for a more romantic date night restaurant. But the noise level was just too high for a good conversation. Not just bar noise, but the music was turned up really loud. The waitress was fine but she couldn't hear us because of the noise. The food was great but the drinks were pricey and way too sweet. No alcohol detected. And there were no red wines for under 10 a glass. It was not what I had hoped for but I suppose it is what you can expect for a hotel restaurant."

We had a friend visiting from Southern California, and when I pulled-up Plate and Vine on Open Table...I was thrilled that we could get a table right away. I was hoping for a seafood plate, and one of the specials was a beautiful scallop plate. It was wonderful, and we will be back again!"

  • "A friend and I went there New Years Eve. The staff was very friendly and we felt welcome. The food was well prepared and it seems fresh ingredients used. I had chicken in puréed sweet potato that was very good. My only quibble would be that the portions were small -- but I would recommend this place."

  • "Picked this place for the local and sustainable aspects. Decor was fresh - but noise very high (no acoustics). By surprise the menu was price fix - which had a good selection. First course fine - soup very tasty, the "Ravioli" was exactly 1! Then the wait began - finally some olives were offered, more time passed - more olives offered. The steak and scallops were yummy - well prepared. The desert option was a 3 up selection - yummy. Seating was just "middle of the room". May try again, just to see what the regular menu might be like."

  • "This restaurant is fantastic. If you hate chain restaurants like I do..... you'll have to check it out. It's really nice, tucked away, great food, personalized service, and reasonable prices.   • "This is the kind of restaurant you'd expect in San Francisco, but it's in Concord. The prices are on the high side for the Concord area, but to be expected for locally sourced, largely organic types of food. I think you could get a somewhat better price deal on this type of food in Berkeley, for instance at Venus, if getting to Berkeley is not issue. You can purchase a $50 voucher for $40 on Yelp, which is of some help in defraying the cost. The restaurant is at the Hilton hotel, but has been nicely remodelled to have an upscale look. It was a bit drafty for us, until we relocated to a booth seat. There was pleasant live music. The food was excellent."

  • "Purchased a Travel Zoo coupon for $25.00 Included in the coupon is a house bottle of wine & two personal pizzas . We added the Brussels Sprouts with pancetta/onions($6.00). When the bill was totaled they add the full gratuity to the bill(full value of the coupon $65)with the added Spouts $18.00. So to sum it all up $45.00 for the entire meal including tip/tax etc.. We arrived @ 5:00 so the place was quite. Food service & ambiance were all good. Maybe not the best pizza we have had, but me may return."

  • "Had no idea the place existed until a travelzoo special told me about it. It's a nice setting, great food and service. They even validate valet parking for free for you. I wish the dessert menu had a heavy chocolate item ha! But that's the girl in me. Everything was delicious and there is live music every Saturday night. What's not to like? Definitely returning."

  • "Despite its location in a hotel, Plate and Vine did not imbue the "hotel restaurant" vibe. It was warm and friendly and had a nice decor. The menu items all looked good and items were generally sustainable and toted as locally sourced. We tried the cheese platter which was lovely. I had the salmon and my boyfriend had the pork belly. The pork belly was crisp and the addition of jalapeno slivers gave the dish a nice spice. The salmon was deliciously cooked and served over some smoked salmon, with tomatoes, roe and vegetable. The drink menu was enticing and there were many options, including an extensive wine list and wine flights. Service was fine. They are very social media friendly and there are some great offers through yelp & online."

  • "I don't usually expect to find anything to rave about in a hotel restaurant, but this little gem in the Concord Hilton is certainly a treat. The food is fresh and whenever possible, locally sourced. Each dish is well prepared and presented. I had the Crab Mac and Cheese, which was made with a perfect blend of cheeses and plenty of crab. And the pasta tasted home made. A friend had prawns wrapped in prociutto. The shrimp was sweet and the prociutto crisp. The service was attentive, but not intrusive. And the prices are reasonable. I'll be back and I'll bring friends. I want to try their happy hour next."

  • "We had our family dinner here last week, party of 7, and they accomodated us where we were apart from other guests. It made us very comfortable to have a good time, enjoy the food, our outstanding waiter. I rated the service a 4 only based on the poor service support from the bartender. Serve was quite slow here. We all had a wonderful time and would go back again. I rated the lunch as I have been here for lunch too."
