PLaE RestaurantFood wonderfully prepared!The food at PLaE was excellent..wine list not extensive but nice selection in all price ranges. The bread was different but very good. My shrimp over jasmine rice was wonderfully yummy with a nice Asian flare. Portions were plentiful..unable to finish but gave it my all.. Wife loved the whole fish, red snapper. I gambled on the chef's surprise that ended up being a huge portion of, fall off the bone, pork osso bucco.

We has the tuna tar tar appetizer, filet and grouper special for dinner and the Italian cake for dessert. Everything was scrumptious. Our service was perfect too. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be coming back for another date night in the future. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is wanting a relaxing, quality meal. We felt that the prices were fair for the quality of food and service that we received. Coincidently, the cab driver said it was one of his favorites and to definitely try the "Chef's Special". The special was fabulous and is always a secret until it shows up at your table. They will only say if it is sea, land or air. What a great way to step out of the same old typical menu items! Although, I would not say their menu is typical. They have a nice variety of well prepared entrees.
We ended up eating there twice and both times the service was fabulous and the food awesome. To my surprise, the food was MUCH better than the other restaurants on the Plantation. Both my wife and I had a salad and the fish of the day. They were really quite good. THe wine selection was good enough, and the prices were not unreasonable as can sometimes be the case at the Plantation. The service was exceptional. Our guests brought two children (3 yrs and 6 mos) which can turn into a dining disaster. The staff was really great dealing with the kids while still doing all the things that needed to get done. The food is excellent!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMPLEasantly surprisedthe restaurant is unassuming, but the meal was really good. we had a table of seven and one of us raved about the food. i myself had the chef's surprise. it turned out to be a couple of beef medallions, two blacken seared scallops, and shrimp scampi. the sides included blue cheese mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked spears of asparagus and topped with a few of the best onion rings that i think i've ever had.

My wife had oysters prepared 2 ways. We shared a remarkable beet salad and butternut squash soup with flash fried beets on top.
