  • "I discovered Place Pigalle a couple of weeks ago, and since I've been back 4 times. It's a complete jewel with incredible food. Best restaurant I've come across easily! The food is French, and it's tastier than RN74 or Maximillien. It's closest to the native French with many items from the traditional cuisine: Bouillabaisse, duck confit, etc. RN74 and Maximillien are both much greasier and incredibly salty in their dishes, somehow catering to the McDonalds palette. I look forward to going back to Place Pigakle on every occasion possible."

  • "The place is still very quaint and small with excellent, even gourmet food. It was excellent. Unfortunately, our waiter was a bit rude and when we wanted a window view he said that wasn't possible. I thought it was because there were 2 of us and the table where people were getting ready to leave had 4 chairs. So we settled for the 2-person table with no view, and 5 minutes later, he seated a party of 2 at the table with a view. This was aggravating. Did not feel like the waiter was paying attention--maybe because we were 2 women, I don't know, but I won't be excited about bringing a friend here again."

  • "We always make time to stop at Place Pigalle when we visit Seattle. For the money--and even if not for the money--it is a great value. The food is delicious and the service is first rate. The mixed drinks are very well made and you can tell they know what they are doing. I had duck confit and it was very good. My husband had the croque madame. It was delicious. The view of the sound is an added bonus."

Depending on when you go, there may or may not be a window table available; if one is available, ask for it and enjoy the views of Elliott Bay and Puget Sound while you dine. If you like mussels, order the Mussels Pigalle as your entre -- they are truly divine."

  • "We reserved a table at Place Pigalle to gather friends and celebrate a transitional Bithday. The atmosphere was highly reinforcing of a special event. The service was quick, friendly/formal, knowledgable and discrete. The food at P.P. is always superior. The menu fresh, the presentation very appealing & just enough uniqueness to raise an eyebrow here and there. A wonderful place to meet and celebrate with the right touch of "special" mixed with A stopover in a French kitchen."

  • "Food tasted great and fresh. The portion was appropriate. Scallop dish was our favorite. Duck meat was just right. Steamed clam and oyster appetizers were fresh. One dish, crab cake, was not too thrill. Staff was super attentive and courteous. First time, and will come back."

  • "Something has changed at Place Pigalle. The food was "okay" but was prepared more like "blue plate specials" rather than "elegance" on a plate. First, the escargot was "tasteless" and seemed full of sand. The flavor of my wife's Steelhead (which was "mushy") was hidden by an over-powerful sauce (too much balsamic?). My pork chop was good but was drowned in a maple-based sauce that drenched and overpowered everything on the plate. We have always looked forward dinner at Place Pigalle but our "go-to" restaurant for special occasions appears to have lost (or changed) its course in the kitchen."

  • "When dining with my wife at Place Pigalle on Valentines weekend, 2014, I commented I really like this restaurant for it's intimate experience. Tucked away in a corner of Pike Place market, it feels more like a secret location, know only to locals but overlooked by the general Pike Place market tourists. We've been coming here for special occasions for over 20 years, and consistently have received excellent service. The wait staff is professional and cheerful, the table reservation process efficient, the menu selection is creative, and the food presentation is excellent. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special and intimate dining experience."

We had a corner table near the windoow and you could see the ferry boats on the sound and the Big Wheel was lite up. The service was excellent as well. Great place for a romantic special occasion. Deffinately on our list for a do again, but maybe we'll try the restaurant in Paris, or San Francisco...."

  • "We had a lovely dinner her when our Christmas Eve plans changed. The fresh dungeness crab was sweet and delicious, the crab cakes were spicy and filled with crab not filler! The french onion soup was excellent. We had a great wine, cocktails and a nightcaps With a lovely view and a wonderful waiter who new the menu well. Overall it was a great evening and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant."

  • "Restaurant was jam-packed, not a surprise on New Year's Eve. Noise level was much louder than our usual experience at Place Pigalle. Other customers were obviously in a ver festive mood. Wait staff seemed a overwhelmed, again, not necessarily a surprise. The arrival of our champagne order was very slow, entree showed up well before we finished our appetizer course. Tough to fit everything on the small table so our wine was set off behind us. Appetizer was not cleared and we had to retrieve our own wine for refills. We chose Place Pigalle because it is a small restaurant and felt that the service and food would not feel like an assembly line. In this case it didn't measure up."

Unfamiliar with their wines they recommended a great wine that didn't break the bank. One of our favorite small restaurants in Seattle. Bon appetite!"

  • "Place Pigalle was a disappointment. We made a reservation at 1p. We'd asked for, and were promised, a window table. When we arrived, there was no window table. Once seated, waiter came by and we ordered oysters. We weren't asked what we'd like to drink. Two tables opened on the window. We asked if we could move. She said the table for two was promised to some other customer. Our order arrived ten minutes later. No one sat in the window tables. (She lied) The food was marginal. The onion soup and oysters good. The chicken salad was not as expected - and nested on old spinach.(green, yellow, some spoiled leaves) , bread and butter. For $87 bucks, it was a lousy. We won't go again. Seattle has too many fabulous places to spend time there~"

  • "We showed up 15-minutes before our 6:30 reservation and were escorted to the best table in the house--a corner table next to the windows with a nice view of Elliott Bay. This small restaurant is as non pretentious as the food. We were served generous portions, nicely prepared. Lamb shank on couscous was very tender and mostly lean. Scallops were delicious, tender, and huge. Even so, I'd say this restaurant should do something with sauces to make each bite memorable and give the dishes some French flair. We were treated like guests in someone's home. The service was non-intrusive yet personable. It would be a nice place to take an out-of-town guest visiting the Art Museum, the Market, or a concert at Benaroya Hall."

  • "We are regular diners here and always enjoy ourselves but this time the kitchen was very slow. It was more than half an hour between our starter and entrees. This was at lunch time and the restaurant was busy but not full. Our waiter was trying to be helpful but was very intrusive. We have to stop our conversations every time he pop by to accommodate his agenda. The food was great as usual but overall this was not our best visit."

  • "Place Pigalle offers a little bit of French flair and wonderful, well-executed dishes. It is a 'special occasion' restaurant for us, not inexpensive, but well worth the cost. Our recent visit was at lunch time, and the restaurant was busy and lively, but we were seated right away, and enjoyed two hours of leisurely dining. If you are lucky enough to get a window table, the view is one of Seattle's finest, but the cozy ambiance is a pleasure, even if you don't get one. I ordered the mussels and they were superb, steamed for just the right amount of time and served in a delicious, substantial sauce. My friend chose a chicken salad. She absolutely cleaned her plate, so I know it was delicious!"
