  • "Meal and service were great! Pate and escargot to start followed by french onion soup and a salad topped with the best pancetta!!! Dinner was the ahi and the pork chop. Both supurb!"

  • "We have enjoyed this restaurant for over 28 years. Each time we visit, we are reminded again why it is such a special place that has endured the progressive and fickle Seattle restaurant scene... it is just simply perfect every time! Highly recommend for foodies, special occasions or intimate dining with friends."

  • "Had some out-of-town guests in town for business, met for lunch. Sat at a window table in a corner, had a great conversation, terrific food/wine. All three of us were highly pleased, my guests were highly impressed, all very exciting and Seattle-esque."

  • "Place Pigalle had been one of my favorite places to dine with out of town guests and for special occasions both for lunch and dinner. My most recent experience did not meet my expectations. The food was mediocre at best. Both the food and presentation was marginal. The wine was corked. The service was average. A real drop off from my previous meals. There are many wonderful restaurants in this city. If they want to compete, changes will have to be made."

  • "It's like a trip to Rive Gauche when visiting this place. Food is impeccable and proportions are as they should be."

  • "Place Pigalle is an easy to miss gem of a restaurant in Seattle. Very seldom do I give an eating establishment 5 Stars across the board. Highlights: menu, ambiance, liquor selection and (surprise) great espresso! Crowning Jewel: the staff. The people operating this fine establishment want only to please you. From menu customization to drink selections at the bar it is, well, bar none. We always make it a mandatory stop while in Seattle. You have my personal guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Jeff"

  • "I've been coming here every summer for over two decades and I enjoy it every talk as if it's my first visit. For the food and staff. I highly recommend."

  • "I had no idea this was even here - and I have been to Pike Place many times. What a fantastic place that is a hole in wall. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was a little too loud for a romantic dinner - but great for a casual dinner with family and or a nice, end of the day dinner with your best friend. The service was good too."

  • "Quiet stop in the middle of the crowded market. Attentive service, fresh fish, nice salads and soups."

  • "On my most recent visit, we ordered duck breast, linguini with prawns, special chilled melon and strawberry soup, a green salad, creme brulee, a cherry torte, and drinks (cocktails and wine). The food was all fantastic, the servers were helpful and just the right amount of attentive, and we were able to have a view table for my girlfriend's birthday, which rounded everything out. This was my third visit to Place Pigalle, and I hope to go back again!"

  • "This is the second time we have eaten at Place Pigalle. We had a wonderful table by the window with a view of the water and the wharf with the Ferris wheel. We shared an order of crab cakes as an appetizer and they were some of the best crab cakes I have had in the Northwest. We split an order of Bouillabaisse for our entree. It was delicious - a wonderful saffron base and loaded with fresh seafood. It was a good dish for sharing. We ended our meal with a cherry dense cake that was wonderful. The cherries were locally grown. Our waiter recommended a wine since the wine we selected was not available. It was a French white and went well with our dinner . We had a wonderful waiter who was very helpful and kept checking on us."

  • "We always enjoy the food, service, view, and ambiance of this place everytime we come. The wine is also good AND reasonable, the food outstanding and the service friendly and personable. We come back here often when we're in Seattle. We've some with several couple as well as by ourselves and it's pleasant both ways."

  • "First time back to this wonderful spot in over 10 years. Fantastic in every respect. Food, service professionalism, knowledgable wait staff, wine, the whole experience was superb. I can only come here every once in a while due the prices. Not over priced, just on the expersive side. Perhaps I should try lunch. Sitting at their bar also looked like a wonderful opportunity if I come alone next time."

  • "Love this place... It's small with a good view. The staff is very friendly and always take great care with their service . I recommend the mussels if you are a fan, some of the best I've tasted!"

  • "Tucked away behind the Pike Place Fish Mkt, this is definitely a gem of a restaurant with incredible views and outstanding food. The Halibut was cooked to perfection and my son ordered the Roasted Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and nearly licked his plate clean he enjoyed it so much. The only drawback are the small tables but it's a small restaurant, packed with flavor. Definitely worth going back for more."

  • "Attentive service, amazing food, fabulous restaurant experience in an out of the way corner of Pike Place Market. When we finished our appetizers and asked for another order of octopus it was made on the fly and delivered steaming hot to our table. This type of flexibility is rarely seen anymore. We have been coming back for special occasions for 14 years. Fabulous Crab cakes, mouth watering halibut, amazing oysters everything was perfect."

  • "Loved our anniversary dinner at Place Pigalle. Terrific wine list. Our entrees: Succulent halibut w/ yukon potatoes and a melt-off-the-bone lamb shank. Everything yummy, but the calimari served with a mushroom sauce was to die for. Wonderful view of the water. Service was attentive but not over the top. Tricky to find - but the recording on the phone provided great directions - right under the clock past Fisherman's Market on Pike."

  • "In an era where pretentioness seems to be the trend in the dining scene throughout this city, Place Pigalle is a gem. We had the most wonderful meal in this little restaurant tucks away in Pike Place market. The Halibut (special of the evening was cooked to perfection, and it's been awhile since I have French Onion soup that is not overwhlemed with grease and saltiness. We did not have dessert because none of the 3 dessert selections for the night did not quite appeal to our sweet pallate. Nevertheless, it's thumbs up all around and we will definetly return in a heartbeat!"

  • "Just a fantastic getaway right in the middle of the hectic crowd of Seattle's Pike Place Market. Great food, wonderful view, expert service and charming atmosphere. "

  • "Whenever I am in my hometown to visit family, I always make a stop at Place Pigalle. I love the great food (French with PacNW inspirations) and the wonderful laid-back atmosphere featuring great Puget Sound views. My just-off-the-boat fresh halibut was perfectly prepared."

  • "We took out of town guests and the room, view, sound and service were wonderful. The calamari's texture and cream sauce were odd and unpleasant. Our beet salad looked unappetizing with a cup of shredded beets piled on a plate with not much else. The crab cakes were spiced with a cajun spice and over cooked, not good. The bouillabaise and halibut were very good but the meal included too many disappointments. I would recommend this place for wine drinking as it is a beautiful spot. "

  • "We were referred by a friend as we wouldn't have thought that a restaurant within the Pike's Place Market would have been such a gourmet's delight. We were charmed from the moment we entered since we have both traveled a lot in France and the immediate vibe was "small neighborhood find". It did not disappoint! The views of the ocean with the ferries passing was delightful (with the windows open just before sunset) and the crisp white table cloths were perfection. Our beet salad was lovely and the crab cakes were all crab and a little brown on the outside which was perfect. Bread was yummy and wine was good which left us wanting to come back again and again....and we will. "

  • "We saw a lot of great reviews for this place and loved the story...but unfortunately my wife and I did not have a great experience. Our main issue was with the sides of the meal. There was a pickling flavor with the halibut and pork chop that was unappealing. We also got very little potato but a lot of Brussels sprouts on the pork chop. The halibut's vegetables had a large amount of oil which spread to the whole of the plate. The place was also pretty dead. Great service, great view, but our food was fair at best given the high cost of the meal. "

  • "I came back to Seattle & Place Pigalle after many years. I remembered it as special & wasn't disappointed. Everything was a pleasure--service, ambiance, view-- and the food was superb. Highlights: calamari, crab cakes, & chocolate pot de creme. Lovely wine list too. Highly recommended."

  • "Only my second time to Seattle and wanted to relax and eat before going home from our cruise. The restaurant is hard to find but, the service was fantastic and they made us feel welcomed right away. The food was just as good if not better than the service and some of the best food I have ever had. I ordered the Croque Madame which was filling, flavorful and so good I wanted to lick the plate. My wife had the Halibut special which was cooked perfectly and very tasteful. When you think of French food you expect small portions but, here at Place Pigalle the portions are just the right size. The prices were more along the lines of dinner prices at lunch time but, when you get the service and quality of food that they offer, it is well worth it."

  • "This restaurant was recommended to us by a couple who have been dining here every other Saturday for 30 years. The food was wonderful. Our waitress was delightful and knowledgeable about the food and the beverages. Place Pigalle has so much character and quite a little gem in Seattle. "

  • "We came here on a whim, thanks to some restaurant.com vouchers we had been given, but I'm glad we did! Tucked away in a cozy corner of Pike Place Market, it's far removed from the overly-crowded bars and restaurants of Post Alley. Instead, it feels like somewhere plucked straight from a coastal French village. The staff are delightful -- very laid back and friendly throughout the whole meal -- the wines are local and delicious, and the food -- my god, the food! My faincee had the halibut special, which was so fresh that it literally melted in the mouth; I had their duck a la chinoise, which was juicy and succulent -- not greasy and fatty like duck can often be. Desserts were incredible, too -- the pot de creme comes highly recommended."

  • "Place Pigalle was amazing. Located around a corner in the vibrant Pike Place Market, it's a great spot for a romantic or special occasion meal. Delicious cocktails, impressive wine list and delicious, carefully-prepared food. Would recommend this to anyone traveling in Seattle or living there! "

  • "Use to be one of my favorites. This time salads were very over=dressed, bouillabaisse was cold, bread dry. I need to try it again before recommending it to others."

  • "We had a great time, Daddy Daughter date before the Symphony concert. We arrived a little late but they had a great table for us anyway. Somewhat limited menu but we all found something we loved, great views, lively place. Our server was stupendous and treated my daughters like adults. "

  • "Place Pigalle never disappoints. The food is always innovative, fresh and delicious. Service is professional, efficient and knowledgeable. They have a nice selection of wines by the half bottle which is much appreciated. It is in a great location tucked behind the "flying fish" stall at the Market. Place Pigalle is a gem that does not get a lot of press but is firmly in place in the Seattle food scene. "
