loud but goodThe food was very good. And if you plan to order dessert save room or share. We had a problem with our table location and our server gave us options. Once our table was moved my chair was getting bumped much less. I would definitely go to Posto again. Also make reservations because even on a weeknight the place was full!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMSolid ChoiceAppetizers superb and diverse. Pizza light and flavorful. Pasta creative. The wine list is excellent and reasonably affordable. Sun poured into the dining room on an early Sunday evening, creating a welcoming environment. There were young couples, families, and townies. Great service with a smile. A solid Somerville choice.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, crazy portions.First off, the food was great. I started with the calamari and moved to the pepperoni pizza. The bread that came before hand was served piping hot and with a healthy soaking of olive oil. The calamari were delicious and the pizza likewise, though somewhat hard to eat due to the size of the slices. The portions of all the appetizers were very large. As it happened we were all very hungry, but on a different day the calamari could have served as a main course. The noise level was rather high. We practically had to yell to hear each other (party of 4) across the table. The tables are a little closer together than they should be, so as to fit in more customers at a time, but I think the food is worth it. Overall, a very good experience.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentHad Bistecca and crab-filled tortellini. Both were great and cocktails were great as well!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMUpscale Pizza RestaurantMy son suggested we dine at Pesto. I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is creative yet limited in a positive way. Just about any meat/fish you would want is listed in at least one menu item. Vegetarians are stuck with salads and Pizzas. The restaurant is noisy so don't go there if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner. The service is outstanding. Our waitress was always there when she should have been ,but was not a pest like wait staff seems to be these days. Parking is tough though so go early. I would imagine this restaurnat is packed on Thursday to Saturday. We went on a sunday night so there were still some tables available. I will return to Pesto5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Pizza, Loud RoomWe had an excellent meal, with excellent appetizers and the "Sausage" and "Ramp" pizzas. Try the latter. The dining room is too noisy for my taste, with music playing and normal noise of diners reverberating off the hard floors, walls, and ceilings. Waitstaff was pleasant and efficient.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLove that they accommodateLove that they accommodate me with all my allergies!
Love the staff, but mostly the food!! Bianca pizza is the best I've ever had.
I'm here all the time love this place:)4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious bruschetta, pizzaDelicious bruschetta, pizza and cocktails, and awesome server! Will be back for sure-4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMWe met friends here for drinksWe met friends here for drinks and dinner and were not disappointed. We started off with cocktails and olives. Then moved to wine and appetizers. The past with rabbit was spectacular, as was the apple, bacon gorgonzola pizza. The half chicken and pesto past were also great, and the gelatos and cannoli were fabulous - just like the North End. We will surely go back.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Neopolitan pizza since Napoli. What a find! Visited Napoli last year and had the original Margherita pizza. Posto comes closest, the crust was awesome. Brought us back to Italy!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA memorable evening. This was our first visit and it was a fantastic experience at Posto! I am beyond impressed with how friendly the staff was. The food was spot on. I called ahead and told a member of their staff that it was a special occasion for both my lady and I. We'd both never been to the restaurant. They went above and beyond. The food was wonderful! The staff was so accommodating which really made for a memorable evening we both won't forget. Looking forward to our next visit.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways enjoy myself at PostoAlways enjoy myself at Posto - great food, wonderful staff, good location3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious and popular- call ahead!Posto is one of our go-to faves. Unfortunately they have a large and growing following, so it's gotten harder and harder to walk in and dine. I recommend a reservation, esecially with a group. It has an upscale industrial design, which means a lot of echoes and noise, so larger groups have a hard time chatting together. The food is outstanding and the service is stellar.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the best meals we'veOne of the best meals we've had in a while. Lemon arancini was crispy on the outside and creamy inside, and what I considered a large portion. My husband loved the lamb meatballs. A great Pinot Bianco special was recommended to me and was delicious. We got the pizza special with eggplant, red peppers, goat cheese and golden raisins- so delicious! The crust was beautiful with a nice crispness but light and airy when you bit into it. We finished up with a taza chocolate tiramisu, which was, as advertised, big enough for two. It was rich, creamy, smooth, and absolutely wonderful. To add to the experience, our server Jamie was amazing!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love Pizzera Posto. I'veWe love Pizzera Posto. I've been several times but this was my husband's first visit. He thinks the Tiramsu is as good as you'd find in Italy. The appetizers, pasta and, of course, pizza are delicious. Ample wine list and discerning mixed drinks. Service is always great.
We will definitely make this a regular spot and recommend it to everyone!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious Food and DrinksI went out to dinner with my girlfriend and another friend I hadn't seen in a while and had an amazing time. Although it was a little loud at points and a bit hard to hear each other near the hustle and bustle of the bar and the open kitchen, I loved my drinks and my meal. They have delicious beers on tap like the Troegs Perpetual IPA as well as interesting cocktails. Our lamb meatball and bruschetta appetizers were light and tasty, the pizzas we got were superb, and the cannolis were out of this world. Plus how can you beat dessert for only $2.50? I'd definitely go back.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMTook my parents here to celebrateTook my parents here to celebrate their anniversary and they loved it. Nonna's meatballs, as always, are delicious, and the tripe was tasty, says my dad and husband. Both the tuscan kale and eggplant pizzas were delish and the spaghetti carbonara was perfect! And the dessert wines were nice. The cannoli was fabulous, just like the North End. And the gelato was great as well. We will continue to come back. Thanks!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThey have the option to getThey have the option to get either an appetizer-sized portion or regular meal for the pastas...I ordered two appetizer-sized portions, and they were both delicious -- one was the special (spring vegetables with cavatelli) and the other was the bolognese. Both delicious. The drink special deliberately paired perfectly with the pasta special. Thoughtful menu, vibrant flavors, and good service.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall a great experience.Overall a great experience. Have been here a numbers of times and the food, service and atmosphere are always spot on. They take reservations too - an added bonus!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPosto is a fantastic restaurantPosto is a fantastic restaurant with excellent food! My husband and I have gone a few times and have loved it every time. The food is fresh and homemade. We ordered the crab stuffed tortellini and the eggplant pizza. Both were fabulous! I would highly recommend this restaurant. Make a reservation since it does get very busy on weekends!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMPizza goes classyThis place manages to take something casual - pizza and pasta - and make it creative and classy. It feels like an upscale restaurant. Everything is fantastic - the cocktails, the appetizers, the pizzas, the atmosphere. Guaranteed great dinner - whether it's a Tuesday or a weekend.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
