  • "Fairly good and everything written up in the paper such as brussel sprout chips and gnocchi were fantastic. The rest was decent but not amazing."

  • "Table of 6. Multiple plates per person. Main course for one person not delivered, obviously forgotten. Then after reminder delivered after everyone else was done, so sent back. Still appeared on the bill. Removed after discussion. Draw your own conclusions."

  • "Best pizza that I've had outside of Italy. Crust and sauce was light, and the mozzarella was very fresh. Definitely would go back and recommend to people."

  • "This is our go to place to eat in Falls Church. Everyone loves the food, including my 10 year old. The pizza is some of the best I've ever had and the small plates are to die for. I love anything to do with Brussels sprouts !"

  • "This is the best pizza I've had outside of Naples, Italy. The margherita is very similar to what I had there. We had a server who appeared to be new and he had trouble keeping up with the number of tables he had. He took our pizza orders without writing them down, put them in, and then realized he had forgotten my wife's order since he came back to ask. Of course, 3 of the 4 pizzas arrived at the same time and she had to wait. Fortunately, the oven is so hot that the pizzas bake quickly, so her wait wasn't too long."

  • "I love the pizza at this restaurant. The crust is thin yet chewy, with just a taste of sourdough. Toppings are fresh and generous. As with most casual dining, the low prices bring in a large crowd and, of course, pizza means lots of families and noise. The tables are a bit closer than I like, particularly when everything is full on a weekend."

  • "Fantastic selection of appetizers and incredible pizzas!"

  • "My wife and I love Pizzeria Orso! We tried neapolitan pizzas across DC and many are very good, but this is the best in terms of taste and texture. The crust is perfect - pillowy soft with just the right amount of crunch. On Thursdays they have a buy one get one half off deal so we got the DOC margherita and Diavola with pepperoni. The sauce is so flavorful. The other dishes are amazing and this time we got the crispy brussel hearts, which are smoky and sweet. A lot of places are serving good brussel sprouts these days, but nothing like these gems, which come piled on a wooden board straight from the oven. Finally, get the lemon nutella donuts!"

  • "The truth is, I have been an Orso fan for quite some time. I've been here for several birthdays, with 2 people and with groups of 15+. Every time, I am more than pleased with my experience. Great good, great service- who could ask for more?"

  • "Staff are all super friendly. They have specials and happy hour deals that can help you eat on a budget, or you can splurge on small plates worthy of fine dining. I prefer the simpler stuff but the small plates are really great. The pizza is Excellent! We love the salad packed full of Italian cold cuts, olives, grilled veggies, and cheese- makes a wonderful pairing with a pizza. The meatball sub is nit what one would expect, but way better, with a pita-like envelope of pizza bread holding the most luscious meatballs, aged grated hard cheese, and grilled lettuce (which sounds weird but is delicious)- it comes with a simple salad, and is so filling that I don't mind my kid always steals a some (fair- I eat his pizza, as it arrives first)."

  • "This is a great little restaurant in Falls Church! The food is really awesome and the staff is great! The only thing I would warn some couples looking for a quite dinner is that most Fall Church goers love to bring their children there. The times that I've been there that there are children, it is loud and sort of off putting. This restaurant is right down the st. from me, which makes it a great convenience, however I have found myself not wanting to go with my fiance because of how noisy and loud it can be with other people children there."

  • "Once again, my daughter and I enjoyed our experience at Pizzeria Orso. I tried the "Smashing Pumpkin" pizza, which offered a creative and tasty combination of flavors. We also took advantage of the Happy Hour prices for appetizers and house wine. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The food came out quickly and was delicious. When we saw the line that had formed when we left, I was happy that I had made a reservation."

  • "I've tried many items on the menu and have never been disappointed. Everything is fresh. Flavor combinations are unique and excellent. The atmosphere is pretty low key. A great place for families."

  • "we're looking for a good pizza restaurant in our area and this might just be it!"

  • "This was our second trip to Pizzeria Orso. We heard about it on the Pizza Show on PBS. We have a goal of visiting several of the restaurants that were featured .The pizza is great and they are a nice size, so each person can try something different. The menu features a n interesting selection of small plates and entres as well as the pizzas. My husband chose this one for his birthday outing. We had great pizzas, inventive salads and a nice bottle of wine. We will definitely visit again and take friends the next time."

  • "Great pizza, friendly staff. Good choice for a night out."

  • "The butternut squash and lentil salad appetizer was absolutely delicious. High marks for that. The pizza was good, though not quite as good as I recall from previous visits. The most disappointing were the lemon donuts. Typically these are the highlight of our visits but the donuts just didn't taste as fresh as usual and the lemon flavor was a bit too subtle this time. Service was a little slack as well with water glasses for our table running empty for long periods."

  • "Our first time there and we will return. Five of us so we tried a variety of items, including appetizers, pasta, entree' items and two pizzas. Nothing left. The Neopolitan pizzas were excellent. I only wish they located in Great Falls."

  • "Fantastic meal and our new favorite place for pizza. We recently saw a special on PBS which highlighted some of the top Pizza restaurants in DC. We have already hit 4 of the top ten and Pizzeria Orso is our current favorite. Can't wait to go back."

  • "The service staff is polite and does a great job knowing their menu, this is important because they have a fairly unique menu. I was not impressed with the management. I experienced requesting a gluten free pizza. I was told on multiple occasions they needed 24 hour advanced notice to prepare a gluten free pizza. I tried to give them 5 days notice and they informed me to call closer to the date. I left them a message after I placed my opentable reservation I would be ordering a gluten free pizza within 48 hours notice. In a nutshell they could not make a gluten free pizza and made excuses. Chef is absolutely amazing. He was nice enough to talk to my mom about gluten free options. Ultimately we enjoyed the meal."

  • "I wish this place were more inconvenient so I would not be tempted so often. But even the parking is in an attached garage, so when the weather is rough it's an even easier choice. I initially came here for the pizza, and they do it better than most everybody. But now I find I am drawn to what admittedly does not sound very exciting, but wows everyone whom I am able to persuade to try: the squash and butternut salad. Sounds boring, right? Totally wrong! Who knew that this healthful could be this tasty? The only problem is that it is a salad - come on Chef Will, time to tart it up into an entrée! We always enjoy our meal at Orso because the food is terrific and the staff pays attention. We'll be back again (and again...)"

  • "Amazing deal for restaurant week. Loved everything we ordered. Didn't expect the starters (did several small plates of the pastas) to blow us away, but they did."

  • "Good place but really rushed the service...asked us if we could leave before we were ready"

  • "Service was amazing, food was amazing, however, I wasn't expecting the restaurant to be as kid-friendly was it was. Now, if you have kids, this is a great pizza spot for you, especially if you live in Falls Church. But, if you're looking for a date night pizza spot, this isn't your place. The food was amazing nonetheless. We went for restaurant week and their restaurant week offer was unlike anyone else, complete with happy hour. House Chianti was pretty tasty. Overall, I would go back."

  • "I'm now considered a regular here, although at different times. Latest visit was Sunday brunch which features a more limited menu than during the week. Still, plenty from which to choose. Pizza still the best, but also ordered an item not featured on Sundays (but included on weekly menu) and kitchen accommodated - yea!. Was a very busy Sunday (end of restaurant week), Chef Will in attendance (and entertaining a variety of family groups), so glad I booked on Open Table. Service good, food terrific as always. Staff engaging but no unctuous. Am always recommending this place. Falls Church is lucky to have Chef Will and Pizzeria Orso!"

  • "not good at all. Afraid it will be overrun once the word gets out. "Pizzeria" may give the wrong impression. Although the pizza has a flavorful Neapolitan crust (albeit a bit thick at the edges), this restaurant offers much more. Imaginative Italian food at reasonable prices. Friendly, competent service. Definitely a keeper."

  • "Our restaurant week lunch was outstanding. 2 apps, 1 entrée, 2 desserts only cost $20. Apps were unique and delicious. Authentic Italian pizza with eclectic toppings was wonderful. Servers were a bit overwhelmed with all the customers."
    Dined on 1/18/2014
  • "First time there .... during Restaurant Week. Pizza was amazing - and salad starter (lentils with squash) was really "different" and tasty. Our server was great - making great suggestions for each course. I'll definitely be back. Nice to find a good solid restaurant in 'burbs that isn't full of itself."
    Dined on 1/16/2014
  • "Pizzeria Orso makes some of the best pizza in NOVA. I tried the fresno pizza on this visit and loved the combination. The beer selection could use some mainstream choices for those that aren't micro fans and the wine pour is a bit skimpy but no complaints otherwise."
    Dined on 1/12/2014
  • "Great appetizers and delicious pizza. The service was excellent."
    Dined on 1/5/2014
  • "This restaurant has by far the best shared plates . . .the chef has taken "old" favorites, such as pork belly and elevated the dish to new heights. Service is always at a top level. Listen to your server when they make a suggestion - they have never been wrong. Do not pass up a chance to enjoy the Brussels chips and the blt gnocchi - fantabulous. The pizza is always a hit, but you may not need it since all of the other shared dishes are such a delight and are filling. Save room for the tiramisu - wow. The only disappointment are the lemon/doughnuts - lacking in the vibrant flavors of every other dish on the menu. And finally, do not pass up a signature cocktail - they know how to make them sing!!"

  • "had to cancel reservation for GrandPa's night out with grand-daughters when I found out (by phone) that 24 hour notice is required for gluten free fare (not mentioned on web site or in Northern Virginia Best Restaurant Issued star ratings are not valid - review form required entries to continue"

  • "Although the rest of the food may be fantastic, the pizza is so good, we have never ordered any of the other entrees. This place is great - from the quality of the fresh individual pizzas, to the wine list and service. You can not go wrong. Plus, free parking in the back. For New Year's Eve, they even had hats, noise-makers and free champagne at 9 pm.....it was midnight somewhere! Thanks for another great meal!"

  • "Excellent pizza. Came from Maryland; worth the trip."

  • "I really love this place. It's got many fantastic small plates such as Pork Belly and Grilled Watermelon Salad. But the highlight is in the`Pizza. Pizza dough is made without any yeast, but is rather leavened using sour dough starter that is leavened with baking powder and other products. One of my favorite Pizzas is called The Fun Guy and it is loaded with a variety of mushroom (Get It? Fun Guy as in Funghi). On previous visits, I've also had the meatballs. These were beautiful and clearly homemade. The texture was light and airy. Flavor was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Pizzeria Orso"

  • "This restaurant has the best pizza in northern va. The style is Neapolitan -- delicious. The small plates are all worth trying, so you'll want to come back."
    Dined on 12/14/2013
  • "Even though my young son and I enjoyed some fine pizza (it was not the best I've ever had, but it was good), and even though our server was quite helpful and friendly, I won't be going back to dine there. If I lived nearby, i might order takeout, but the restaurant is simply too loud. The acoustics and the set-up of the restaurant (one large room) are not conducive to any kind of conversation. I was sitting across a small table from my son, and I had to ask him to repeat himself many times. I felt like I had to yell. I have been in sports bars with multiple TVs going and rowdy crowds that were quieter. If you are eating alone, then by all means, enjoy the food and service. If you want to talk to your dining companions, find another place."
