Pizzeria MozzaAlways right on the moneyNever had a bad meal let alone a bad food choice here. Always great food and for a place that is always so busy they are very accommodating.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food. Music a littleAmazing food. Music a little loud and a bit cramped for LA especially coming from NYC but food superb!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA real gem of a restaurantAs a Singaporean holidaying in Los Angeles, I knew i had to pay the original Pizzeria Mozza a visit, having visited its first foreign outpost back home previously and falling in love with their delectable thick-crust pizzas. And nope it did not disappoint.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHoping for more gluten free optionsI know, its a pizzaria, but was hoping for a couple more gluten free options. Otherwise, the food was very good. I had the chopped salad (without the salami) and it was very good! and large portion too.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing!Took my parents for an early Mother's Day celebration. It was amazing! They loved it! I have been there plenty of times and have always had a great experience.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Meatballs I've EVER had!I love this restaurant and will definitely go back (the sooner . . . the better). We got a lot of food - I highly recommend getting a few "apps" and 1 pizza - rather than two pizzas (but we did finish off the leftovers later that night)! I highly recommend the meatballs (3 pork/veal balls + bread and amazing sauce), stuffed squash blossoms, and the olives (which were warm - totally unique and tasty). Service was excellent on all accounts (from the valet, to the hostess, to the busboy, to the wait staff). It's not cheap (around $100 for 2 with tip - not including $10 valet) but it was a beautiful meal. I've never been to Italy . . . but I bet this meal would be appreciated by even the most authentic of Italian cooks!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food. Pizza tenOutstanding food. Pizza ten plus. Service above and beyond average. Unique ambiance and table setting. A must! Don't miss this place.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA favorite pizzaBeen all over Italy many times, lived in New York for 30 years. Pizzeria Mozza presents classic characteristics, yet burnished in a unique way, outstanding, first rate. Never had better. Not inexpensive but the best never is.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding FoodOur party of three went to Pizzeria Mozza for a late lunch (3:00) on a week day. There were very few other patrons so I can not comment on how the restaurant is when it is busy, but we had a super experience. The wait staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive but not over-bearing. Our food came to the table quickly and was beautifully prepared. While the type of food on the menu is rustic Italian, it is beautifully prepared with top quality ingredients and a creative flare. We enjoyed every bite!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Pizza in LAPizzeria Mozza still serves the best pizza in LA, of the places that I've tried.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMDeliciousGreat experience - nice service. Amazing open kitchen. Food is original and flavorful.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMPizzeria Mozza in the AfternoonI've never been to Mozza on a Saturday afternoon - only evenings, and I was surprised to see how packed it was. We had lunch at 2:30 and there wasn't an empty table in sight. The service was just as good as it is in the evening, but unlike the evening, there were a ton of children in the restaurant- acting as the local pizza joint for the neighborhood. Fun and lively, but totally different crowd than evening, which is more sophisticated. The funghi pizza, Nancy's salad, and gelato trio are all classics. If you've never been there, these three won't let you down.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe arrived early for our reservatioWe arrived early for our reservation. There wasn't a table available, but there was space at the bar. The greeter was nice and offered for us to stay but she didn't have our reservation in the system. I knew we did since you had confirmed, sent my husband a reminder and sent me a reminder the day of the reservation. I don't know what would have happened if we had arrived on time and the restaurant was completely full.
We had a very nice lunch so all was forgiven.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMIt is very loud inside, butIt is very loud inside, but once your food is served, you mostly just focus on how good everything tastes. It is a small and busy restaurant, so I'd recommend taking the extra time to make a reservation, but it's also worth the wait. The menu prices are fair, although a little too expensive for me to be regularly dining there. However, going there certainly acts as a treat to myself.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe pizza never disappointsThe pizza never disappoints and the capresse salad is delicious. Favorite pizza is the spicy salame and peppers.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe know the food is good here.We know the food is good here. What makes the experience extra wonderful is the amazing service, by all the waitstaff. Our glasses were always full, & constantly being refilled by everyone, not just our waitress. Everyone was attentive, polite & exactly what being in the service industry is all about. The food, divine, & the experience, even late night when we were there, fun & full of buzz.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Pizza! The Pizzeria is a little tricky to find, but the wait staff at all the restaurants on the block were friendly enough to point us in the right direction. I will keep it easy for you: look for the orange door by the Valet. The food was astonishingly simple, making it perfection. Great beer, friendly staff, would eat there again!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBest pizza in LA. The crustBest pizza in LA. The crust has a great chew to it. Try the clam pizza or the Napolitano- both delicious.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place is Great. HaveThis place is Great. Have been coming here for our anniversary the past 4 years. It Never disappoints. Their Caprese salad is to die for. Creamy cheese and pesto sauce and the vine tomatoes. Its just made with Love and Care not thrown together. And the pizza is just amazing.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic as usual. MeatballsFantastic as usual. Meatballs to start. Perfect. Pizza Alla Benno was fantastic as usual. The butterscotch pudding is the best dessert I have had anywhere, bar none. These guys embody consistent. No wonder its sti hard to get in years after they opened the doors. Highly recommend.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food and service.Amazing food and service. Would definitely come back.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWhere you can eat dessert for lunchI love Mozza's pizzas - all made from scratch with the freshest ingredients - but it's really the caramel sea salt budino dessert that I always come back for!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMYou are clearly a part ofYou are clearly a part of something much bigger than you when you are here. It is the perfect mix of hip, casual setting and gourmet food. Outside of Tartine in Frisco, it may be the very best bread in the world, and just happens to be pizza. It doesn't matter if you like it or not. What's happening here needs to happen, is supposed to happen, and will hopefully continue to happen until the end of time.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistent ExcellenceAnother mindblowing experience at Pizzeria Mozza. Since This was my 3rd trip in less than 2 weeks I tried a few dishes I had on my list: Prawn appetizers; flavorful and memorable, Salame, bacon & fennel sausage pizza; meaty perfection! (May I add I'm an occasional meat eater and wa ecstatic to have ordered it.) Dessert; pistachio gelato w/ puff pastry, Amarena cherries & hot fudge, a new favorite of mine along with the coconut Stracciatella!! The staff is always so helpful and professional. I can't stay away! :)4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is always fantastic! The food is always fantastic! We love coming here whenever we can.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMworst thing I could say isworst thing I could say is that I think they could get a bigger location and still be full. bar is also tiny... but food is always mind blowing.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat pizzaThe pizza and food in general lives up to the hype. The tables are too close and it's still hard to get a reservation, but it's not as hard as it used to be, and there is always the bar, which is fun to eat at to watch them make the pizza. The arugula salad, all pizzas, but we love the mushroom pizza, and the desserts are just great; fresh and creative.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently AMAZING!My sister had a layover for the day so I decided to take her to Pizzeria Mozza. She loved it!! I've been here many times and have also had a birthday party here in the Jack Warner room. Never disappointing and ALWAYS so satisfying!! I can't wait for my next dining experience here. The staff was amazing and so professional and gracious. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was pretty mediocre. The service was pretty mediocre. After the food came, the server was never to be seen again. We wanted to order more food and wine and never got a chance to because no server. The food was excellent.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had an overall fantasticWe had an overall fantastic experience. The worst part was trying to decide what to get for just the two of us-- we wanted to order newarly everything. The antipasti section was amazing, filled with best-quality seasonal vegetables prepared perfectly. And the pizzas, of course, were excellent. It's hard to find a crust with a perfect balance of crunch and chew, and Mozza delivers. Service was warm, informative, and professional. If I lived nearby, it would be a regular stop for sure.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBest pizza on the planetMy favorite pizza on the planet. Always great, consistent and timely preparation. One of pizzas stayed in the oven perhaps a tad too long but that's just being hypercritical.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMEmbracing the YumWhat's not to love? Everything was great. And, something I thought I'd never say -- but best chicken liver brushcetta!4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMMozza is a great restaurantMozza is a great restaurant that offers amazing meals fit for all foodies. My personal favorite is Nancy's chopped salad and the fennel sausage pizza! There's just something about each bite of the fennel sausage that makes my belly so satisfied! It's well seasoned and properly cooked to where the sausage is still moist and flavorful. Service is great and everyone is well attentive! More visits to come!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a wonderful placeThis is a wonderful place that always serves great food.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMEasily the best pizza I'veEasily the best pizza I've ever had -- the crust is notably marvelous. I tried a pizza with the special tomato sauce, and was glad I did. They were as sweet as long-roasted tomatoes, but with a smooth texture.
Plus, my wife is gluten-free, and loved the antipasti so much (especially the chicken wings) that she's fully eager to go back. High praise from someone who can't actually eat the pizza.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways amazing!Always a great dining experience at Pizzeia Mozza! The food is always creative and delicious. It's truly the only reason we drive down to LA. :)4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food; great waitExcellent food; great wait staff.very noisy. very energized.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food experience!!!!Outstanding food experience!!!! Would recommend the chopped salad and any pizza.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMPizza was interesting. ThinPizza was interesting. Thin base with a thick crust. Parts of the crust is airy and well toasted so it tastes really good.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMNote: All of your party mustNote: All of your party must be there within the 15 minutes grace period after your reservation time or they give up your reservation. That happened to us because one of our party ran late but fortunately the hostess changed our reservation to a half hour later. That was really great.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply awesome! Among theSimply awesome! Among the best meals I have ever had a restaurant. Be sure to indulge in items off of the antipasta menu! They are outstanding.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMYumAmazing food. Everything was delicious. Service was good, especially the busboys. They were outstanding. My only complaint is not having linen napkins. I understand the idea but it cheapens the experience. Highly recommended!3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGo the Margherita Di Buffalo,Go the Margherita Di Buffalo, you won't regret it.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat pizza as always, excitingGreat pizza as always, exciting menu, noisy and cramped setting, but it adds to the fun.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been to Pizzeria MozzaWe've been to Pizzeria Mozza several times. Always great food and service. Love the addition of the roving wine and beer expert. We love the place.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat but noisyGreat food, good service, nice wines - but you have to bring ear mufflers. But that's what you expect from a hotspot, don't you?3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMSmall but well-chosen wineSmall but well-chosen wine list. Delicious food. Very much a pizzeria, a bit light on the abiance scale, but that's fine with me when the food is this good. We're loioking forward to returning.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI don't know what was better...I don't know what was better... the pizzas or the desserts? I could eat the butterscotch budino as an appetizer, my meal, and my dessert!3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMozza is marvellous!Once again, Mozza does not disappoint!! Another amazing lunch with the family while on March Break!3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food in a crowded placeHad dinner at Pizzeria Mozza on the recommendation of a friend from LA. The food was great! We had the fried zucchini flowers that were outstanding, the chopped salad (very good) and the fungi pizza (also very good), along with some great local microbrews. Service was wonderful. But, the restaurant, at 9pm on a Sunday night was packed, very noisy and the tables were crowded together (the table had to be moved for my wife to get into her seat). Overall, it was great food and a lively vibe.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AM
