Saturday night was my third visit to PM. I'll admit that of all 3 times, I've never been BLOWN away by the food, but each time it decreased in wow factor. The service was really unfortunate as well. At least 7 min before we got menus. The host stand crew was great and managers touched tables and were aware, but can't make up for a disconnected, miserable server. Fire times were on point, we got our food promptly and in perfect sequence. Chopped salad and farro salad shared a very similar overall flavor- overkill on oregano. Arancini were mediocre. Garlic bread very overly oily. Burrata was delicious. Pizzas were good, but nothing to write home about. Crafty wine service in individual decanters. We skipped dessert after being unimpressed.

I've been going to Mozza for years, and have always been extremely happy with both the service and food. Unfortunately, every restaurant seems to finally go into decline, and I think Mozza has begun there inevitable descent. First, service was poor. The greeter was somewhat rude, which is fine I guess, but she insisted that if we wanted table (which, incidentally, we had a reservation for) we had to leave in less than an hour. I appreciate that they need to flip tables, but I've never encountered an flat out ultimatum before! The food was the big disappointment--former favorites like the chop salad were just bad. Perhaps we just caught a bad night, but between service and food Mozza is definitely off our list of habitual restaurants.

Having a reservation is the way to go, otherwise the wait can sometimes be upwards to an hour without a reservation. Everything on the menu looks delicious. The fried squash blossoms with ricotta and marinated bell peppers with tuna were light and savory. You can't come to this place and not have a pizza, we tried a spinach pizza and a sausage pizza both were delicious. Pizza's were cooked in a brick oven, which came out beautifully. The crust was thin and crispy, the Sausage was very savory and delicious.

Over the years Pizzeria Mozza has consistently been my go to place for a special meal. The service, food and ambiance can turn a quick and delicious lunch into a lifetime memory. Of you go for dinner - don't skip desert. There is a butterscotch bidi no with your name on it waiting for you. Mario Batali and Nancy Silverton please open a Pizzeria Mozza in San Francisco - rather spend on food than Southwest Airlines - but till then happy to come to LA for your food.

This pizzeria was definitely busy during our lunch visit. Several people had to wait to be seated, it was that full. I recommend making reservations well in advance, especially if you are a large party. The food was good, but not outstanding. The noise level was crazy loud as the pizzeria is small with tables crammed in the small space and two bar areas for seating (they crammed eight of us around a small table). Our waiter was great: attentive and knowledgeable, but not overbearing. Overall, it's a nice place to try out, but doubtful I would go back.

The food, service & wine @ Mozza are all wonderful, but the noise level could come down a few decibels with some softer surfaces to deaden the noise. Also, the $10 valet is a bit steep.

I really like pizza (having grown up in New Jersey) and was looking forward to having lunch here. I ordered a sausage, onion, pepper pizza. The crust was tasty but too bready around the edges and too weak in the middle to hold the toppings. The sausage was unwieldy "meatballs" that you had to crumble and redistribute around the pie. Finally, the cheese was too thick and not judiciously spread, as it should have been. The chopped salad was good, though.

Seating is way too tight. I felt like the guy at the next table was on my lap. Food is okay. I have yet to have an incredible dish. Pizza crust felt bland. Speck was good. Chopped salad was kind of bland as well. The menu has the appearance of a foodie type place, but I have not found the food to be exceptional. And $9 for a 12 ounce draft beer seems steep, even for LA.

I understand you do not open until 12 noon but the doors were not open and when they did a little later there was still a delay as the staff was setting out bench and dirty ashtray. The food is always good but the squask blossoms were very disappointing- small and dry. The staff was very attentive but we felt rushed as they tried to clear plates that still had food on them.

After eating a Pizzeria Mozza dozens of times, it's fantastic to see that they've sustained both the quality of their food and the quality of their overall vibe since opening years back. Calling their pizza "pizza" is a disservice, lumping it in with all the mediocre pizza that can be found across Los Angeles, as this is truly something beyond that. Additionally, all the starters that we tried were both novel and spectacular (tuna in peppers was great, same for the meatballs. Simply put: if you haven't been yet, make a reservation and go to Mozza ASAP

Went with 3 friends and we got the tricolore salad-incredible, squash blossoms-unique cheesy goodness, and 2 pizzas- my favorite was the one w a fried egg, Yukon potatoes, and bacon. Dessert: get the butterscotch budino, you will not be disappointed. They are also one of the only restaurants around that is actually acknowledging the drought

The highlight of my recent dining experience was the beautiful and tasty squash blossom, burrata, and tomato pizza. The second highlight was the cab franc, cab sauv blend vino. Delicious! The shrimp and melon appetizer with chili sauce was great - the shrimp was just outstanding. We also had the lettuce cups, which were good. There was too much sauce on them, however. The service was terrific. Can't wait to go back!

I have eaten here at least 6-8 times in the past with no issues and LOVE the food and especially the dessert - Mozza has the best dessert in LA. I took my girlfriend here Monday night to grab some food and everything was fine, until we got our pizza and finished, ready to make the transition to dessert. We were out of wine, out of water, and out of food - save two pieces of pizza we pushed to the side. We stacked our plates...waited 5 minutes. Waited 5 more. Our waitress abandoned the table and completely forgot about us. She disappeared from the restaurant for 10-15 minutes. Eventually one of the guys from the kitchen came over and got us dessert menus, cleared the table, got us some water. We got our dessert but it was a bummer for sure.

Love this place. Took the misses there for our 35th, sat at the bar (which we requested as this is our favorite spot to sit) and watched them make the most delicious pizzas in town. Asked for a light dry red and they recommended an excellent drop that was at a very reasonable price. Cauliflower Fritti and Crispy duck leg as appetizers - both delicious. Tricolor Salad followed - not as good as previous times -wrong time of year for ingredients perhaps. Then the speck and believe it or not pineapple - very thinly sliced - pizza. Memories of the old country. Chocolate tartuffo for dessert.

I ordered the chopped salad. It was so filled with radiccio that it was completely inedible. The bitterness was overwhelming, and while there were supposed to be other incredients in the salad (beans, peppercinis, tomatoes, etc) there were so few it was absurd. When they came to take away my salad, they even failed to notice I had barely touched it and did not ask if it had tasted okay. One of the other people with me felt the same about her salad as well, and also was not asked when the wait staff cleared an almost full plate from in front of her. Ridiculous for a $16 salad: it should be good and if the patron clearly didn't eat it, a good restaurant that cared would ask why. The butterscotch pudding, however, was amazing.
