  • "Never disappoints! Such amazing pizza, can't go without it!"

  • "Of course Mozza is well known for its pizzas, and they are very good. I especially like the tomato sauce and oregano one. However, we recently tried the chicken here, and it was great. A wonderful dish to share. My husband does not like chicken very much, and even he had to admit that it was some of the best chicken he'd had in a long time. A great crust on the chicken, along with a delicious grilled lemon. Also served with smashed potatoes and onions that were really flavorful. A great way to change it up at Mozza if you are not in the mood for pizza."

  • " I had not been to Pizzeria Mozza in about 2 years, but my daughter wanted Pizza for her 18th birthday. The restaurant is pretty much set up to turn and burn tables. The seats have no padding so after about 30 minutes you don't want to seat anymore. We ordered a few things of the starter list. Burrata was fair (had better quality Burrata at the Winery in Tustin the next night), Padron peppers were good not great, fried squash blossoms just came out on a plate, and were pretty darn boring. The meatballs were the best starter by fair so those are recommended. My daughter Pizza was mediocre. She wanted a cheese pizza with easy sauce yet got a extra sauce pizza with easy cheese. The overall experience was just fair, and hard to recommend."

  • "This restaurant was absolutely amazing! I was there with some girlfriends and we had the lasagna and pizza. They were really delicious. Our waitress was amazing! She helped us with any gluten-free things we needed!! Their wines were great and they had a sommelier help us pick some out. Which was really fun! It is pricey but definitely worth the experience and the delicious food!"

  • "Whil we enjoyed Pizzeria Mozza in Newport Beach, I have to say the food at the LA outpost is better. Generally found things under seasoned (the squash blossoms and crostini) and the pizza crust was drier (crispy but none of the "chew" you expect from great Italian pizza. The Padrons with cheese were tasty but odd when you bring two toast points for table of three."

  • "As always ....food and service was great !! The butterscotch desert is worth driving all the way from Laguna .....!!!"

  • "The quality of the food at Mozza is top notch. It's good, simple, vibrant flavorful food. All of the ingredients are the best which makes it so simply delicious. Wait staff was professional and friendly. Prices are slightly high (particularly on glasses of wine) but one can't expect to get this quality of food without a cost."

  • "Third visit to Pizzeria Mozza (two previous wonderful experiences) but it felt like a different restaurant. Service was so odd. Sat unrecognized (by any waiter) with orders ready for too long. As soon as we ordered appetizers, another waiter appeared to take our order. That would have been fine until the bus staff began to take our plates while we still had food on our forks just above the plates. Happened twice. No explanation. Food and pizza was not even close to our first two experiences here. Bland and oily squash blossoms. Margherita pizza was drowning in tomato sauce and had so little cheese on it, some slices were just basically wet pizza dough. To top it all off, we witnessed another diner nearly choke. Not headed back anytime soon."

  • "Never once got offered a refill on drinks. Had to wave down waiter for that. Not once asked how meal was or how we were doing. Also had to wave a waiter down again to get the bill and then that took another 20 minutes just to get it. Food was good. Customer service was the worst."

  • "Great chopped salad, pizza and butterscotch dessert. Good service. Very noisy though, and the tables are crowded. Would more wines under $50 to be added; it is, after all, a pizzeria (even though a very high quality one)."

  • "Never had a pizza so good. We chose root beer instead of wine because of the time. This is our second trip back and we were not disappointed. Great service, too!"

  • "Not quite as good as the original, but a nice change up for restaurants in OC."

  • "This was my first time here and It was not what I was expecting. We started with the Caprese salad and it was a lump of mozzarella with 4 tomatos on top sprinkled with some pesto, the small pizza was served on a plate that was too small to hold it and not at all like the type of pizza I was looking for. The restaurant was absolutley empty except for one other table and our server acted impatient as though she was so busy and was rather rude to us. If you want this version of "Gourmet pizza" by all means indulge. We went to another pizza place after leaving here."

  • "Great prosciutto and great pizza too! Limited menu but yummy items!"

  • "Waited by the host stand while 5 staff members walked by some looking at us and not even greeting us. Finally when I kept staring at one of them she came over and seemed annoyed at having to sear us even though we had a reservation. Waiter was not very attentive either, real shame since food is outstanding and the place has such fame, all broke down since staff did not care about service."

  • "Good food and service, restaurant empty at lunch, prices too high for the lunch crowd, $90 for 2 with tip"

  • "Mozza is our "go to " place. Although the pizzas are fabulous, we often eat several appetizers and a pannini or bruschetta. Their Burrata cheese is outstanding. Our latest favorite bruschetta is the Burrata with sun gold tomatoes. I crave it! The salads are plentiful and delicious. The Tricolore with a Reggiano Parmesan dressing with a few sardines is outstanding. The baby arugula with piave dressed in a lemon olive oil dressing is another favorite. The chopped salad has a bit too much oregano for me, but with a bit less, it's outstanding. A salad and a pannini is a perfect lunch. They know their wines and are very helpful in choosing them. The desserts leave nothing to be desired. You cannot go wrong with a Mozza dessert. "

  • "Best pizza crust i have ever tasted. Caprese salad is wonderful. Chicken is perfect. Great meatball appetizer. Noise level is a tad high but food is perfection. "

  • "It's unfair to describe Mozza as a pizza joint because it is so much more than that. If you want a place where they do what they do very well and with the best ingredients, where service is just tops, with a friendly wine list, all at an affordably priced gourmet evening out, Mozza is the place. "

  • "We usually go to Mozza every year on my daughter's birthday. It's her favorite restaurant. The pizzas are so good you just can't believe it. I should say that not everyone appreciates Mozza's style of pizza as much as we do but to me it's the best pizza I've had aside from Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix. The service was very good and friendly. The wine is a tad expensive. The salads are incredibly fresh and so delicious. Arancini are fantastic. "

  • "Salads were good. Margherita pizza was fine but salami pizza was not good. The salami was borderline bad, had funky gone bad smell and taste. Will not go here again. "

  • "Good pizza. Great service. Best Halibut ever had. But the $31 bill included only a piece of Halibut. We were expecting vegetables, salad or at least a piece of bread with it. Pricey for what we got. "

  • "Came here for lunch and our group was blown away by the food. Especially the first courses and salads. The pizzas were great but to us the first courses really shone. We loved it."

  • "My first visit to this establishment. Varied appetizer list. We choose the chicken wings and the braised cauliflower and squash flowers. These were both excellent. You may add various toppings to any of the pizzas listed. Be advised this is not an "American" pizzeria. It is true Italiano. Very good! Will return again."

  • "We always get excited to have pizza at Mozza, but that night it was really off. The service was excellent and the restaurant busy but not overpacked. The appetizers were wonderful including the best chicken wings were the best we have ever had. But the lasagne was horrible, and our guest did not know how good it was supposed to be, and only commented later after we left. He should have sent it back. The pizzas were less than thrilling and left us feeling we did not need to return, ever. Funny since we used to drive to LA for the pizza until it arrived in the OC. Sorry, we're not coming back. Love the budino and will miss it. "

  • "This is not the coziest place to eat...tight quarters and loud. Service was hit and miss...very personable, but slow. We were encouraged to order appetizer, salad, and pizza all at once to make sure they could pace the meal. I wanted my food in that order. After 15 minutes, they brought out the salad and we told them we preferred to have the appetizers (fabulous mussels) first. They took the salad back and it took at least another 15 minutes for the mussels to come out. Mussels, kale salad and pizza (meat lovers') were all out of this world. My husband was ready to write the place off, but the food saved the day. Wine list is pricy...especially for a pizza (albeit high end) place."

  • "If you don't mind spending $18.00 for a pizza then this is your spot. The size of the pizzas are barely big enough to share so you need to order one each for a party of two. Other items on the menu are also over priced such as the chopped salad at $18.00. Drinks are also over priced. A bloody Marry in a small glass was $14.00. Ice tea was even over priced at $4.00. To top it off valet parking was $5.00. There is no other place to park. Overall, a very expensive meal for pizza. "

  • "It was crowded when we arrived at 6:30 but we were immediately seated. We ordered an appetizer and the waitress returned telling us the chef request we place our full order at one time. I asked to speak with the manager and explained we are celebrating our anniversary and would like to take our time. He explained the chef made a change two weeks ago to help expedite the meals. He assured us we could be served each item separately. We ordered app and salad. They both arrived at the same time to crowd our small table. When we left at 7:45 there were over 10 vacant tables. Too bad as the food is very good but the atmosphere and service is no longer enjoyable. We will not be returning unless they change their format for ordering and serving."

  • "We were greeted with a frowning hostess. 2 of our party were not yet there, I said we'll wait at the bar and the hostess said 'no its full' in a very dismissive way. Guess they don't want you to have a glass of wine (spend money) and feel welcome at the restaurant. We have been there many times and it is always good. The restaurant was not full, when our 3rd person arrived we asked for a table. Not sure what they want you to do, wait on PCH? They won't allow you to get a cocktail before seated. The pizza was good (especially the squash blossom), my friend loved the lasagna and the appetizers we got were also good. The server seemed a bit overwhelmed but she was a very nice person. Go for the food not the service. "

  • "What a fun night we had at Pizzeria Mozza thanks to our good company and fun bartender/mixologist. He was on but the server at our table was not. Great drinks and a fun menu! Love the Our server forgot two appetizers we had ordered and by the time we realized it we didn't even bother to reminder her. They told us to order all our food at once so they could "time it" and they brought out all our food at the same time. It is a fun place with good food. Just wish our server was as good as everything else!"

  • "Terrible service, pizza ingredients just thrown on top, crust too hard to chew, salad over dressed. Way overpriced for thoughtless cooking and zero service."

  • "We went in the afternoon to avoid the crowds--so glad we did. It made it much easier to maneuver through the restaurant and the noise was not bad at all. We had a simple lunch: squash blossoms (as a starter) and the Prosciutto di Parma pizza. BOth were great. The pizza was a tad mushy in the middle (crust was a little too thin there) but the crust overall was light and crispy--just as I remember in Italy. Fresh prosciutto and mozzerella was wonderful. We teamed with a couple glasses of fantastic wine to make it the perfect late lunch."
