"This was our second time visiting and was no were near as good as first time. The pizza was burnt and just didn't taste good. We were seated near the door with a cold draft coming in every time it was opened. It was also very loud."

"I have discovered three pizza restaurants producting notable pizzas in Denver and Boulder. Pizzeria Basta is one of them. Pizzas are baked in a wood fired oven. The dough has that combination of crunch and elasticity that is a feature of the neopolitan style. Just a few ingredients on each pizza , let's the quality of the ingredients and dough speak for themselves. We have traveled up from Denver to Boulder twice now for pizza here and have not been disappointed.
Pizzeria Basta is not easy to find after dark. It is located in the Peleton complex on Arapahoe, but signage is poorly lit."

"I have been in several times before for apps, pizza, pasta, and those amazing sous vide short ribs, but this was the first time I'd tried the market tasting menu. Definitely impressed."

"First visit. We will probably go back. Interesting pizza, it was pretty good, different. Nice and light. Of course if one was raised on traditional Chicago and NY style pizza, you won't be enchanted with this place.Service was good, our original reservations made through Open Table were incorrect. Basta tried calling me, but we had already left. That was okay we sat at the bar for about 10 minutes. My wife really liked it.Summary: good place to get a quick meal, take the kids, meet a few friends, close by, don't have to drive and park on Pearl. Not a lot of energy and for sure you won't see many college kids here."

"I love Basta's pizza. It reminds me of the pizza you can get in Europe. I also like the Buratta and the arancini when they have it on their market menu. If the standard pizzas aren't to your liking, be sure and ask your server about their toppings and build your own. The topping list isn't always on listed on the menu."
