This was our first time at Pizzelle's Bistro. Our waiter was AWESOME. I don't know his name. But he had a Spanish accent. His level of service is more characteristic of a 5 star restaurant. All of his recommendations were perfect. Also great was the classical guitarist they had (David Adele). He was AMAZING. The ambiance he created was so romantic. If you go, check first to see if they're having live music. It really made the evening perfect. My fiance's pizza was good. But my calzonne was really fantastic. Best I've ever had. We'll definitely be back.

Found this local spot on Open Table and gave it a try. We were pleasantly suprised. The food, service and live classical guitar on Saturday night made for a very enjoyable evening close to home. Glad we tried something new! Will definetely dine here again.

A bit of a mixed bag. One factor that I use in judging an Italian restaurant is the base sauce/gravy on the pasta. Pizzelle's is quite good. Dare I say, excellent. I come from a family of eggplant parm aficionados. Pizzelle's is not bad but it is odd. It includes spinach(??) which is almost as prevalent as the eggplant. I also expect a proper eggplant parm to have the eggplant breaded and fried before being layered and baked. Not the case here. They go off the reservation a bit with this interpretation-some may like it-not for me. The wife had pescatore. Again, one of my faves. Nice sauce/broth. But the calamari rings were downright weird. Very thin and tasteless. Almost seemed like misplaced onion rings. Tiramasu dessert...very good.

  • Amazing - Italian/Hawaiian fusion

You HAVE to go to Pizzelle's - your taste buds will love it! First up - the service is warm, friendly, & it makes you feel like part of the family. Second - the restaurant might not look like much from the strip mall outside, but inside it's a marvel. Two stories. Rooms broken up nicely. Amazing art and pictures on the walls (taken by the owners family), with the upstairs including a fantastic private party area and cool bar area... plenty of table options. OK - now the best part - the food. Traditional Italian, and super amazing Italian/Hawaiian fusion. Yup, that's right! Really! You HAVE to start with the Tree Times Tree Shomboni - to die for! The Rigatoni is a perfect example of Italian/Hawaiian fusion. You got to go!

First of all the food was very good but this makes sense coming from people who started their business after some time in the catering business. They have no idea of hospitality or service and must think that the food will bring people back. There were many little irritants, not seating us until 10 minutes after our reservation time when we arrived 15 minutes early (25 minute wait) and at least half of the tables were empty. The table we were finally sat at had been open the entire time. The server requested a 2nd credit card (at the head of the table for all to hear) when it was the restaurant's system that was improperly working. These are a few of the minor things that happened and could easily been remedied with an "I'm Sorry"!

Chef Brad is awesome. We wandered into his place one night not expecting a foodie experience. We had the house salad (highly recommend it) and the caprese, both flavorful and fresh. We shared the rigatoni and the chicken parma. both excellent, full of flavor and very fresh as well. A great find in sleepy Tustin. We have been back 3 times since.

Pizzelle's is okay for a quick soup and salad lunch. It's not a 'foodie' type of restaurant.

The food at Pizzelle's Bistro is fabulous. Some of the items on the menu can't be found anywhere else. The Poke Chips are the best I have ever tasted and the Rigatoni de la Farma is a one of kind dish and my favorite item on the menu!

Overall we were impressed with both the food and the service. Everyone in our group commented that the food was very well prepared and we all enjoyed our meal. The waiter was very helpful with his suggestions and his service was top notch. Will be back soon to try their other dishes.

The food was really good, with some unique dishes, such as a spinach Napoleon. The waitstaff was very friendly & helpful. We liked the feel of the restaurant; our only suggestion would be to have more comfortable seating. We are senior citizens, & would like a cushion for the hard bench back.
