  • "The last dinner we had here was a disappointment. We tried lunch and were excited to see they were trying some lobster dishes. I ordered the lobster roll and had to send it back. The tarragon seasoning was overwhelming. It certainly wasn't worth the $18.95 price. The server offered to bring me another dish so I tried the lobster tacos. They were just OK; the people in the booth behind me had ordered the tacos as well and sent them back. The prime rib dip sandwich was a much better choice. We'll have to explore other restaurants in the area."

  • "A good solid suburban steakhouse. The steaks are good (not great). The thickness is about 1 inch. The sides are one level below a top steakhouse. The prices are SLIGHTLY below a great steakhouse. The value is fair. It is a nice place for a nice dinner out, but at a substantial cost/value received."

  • "A group of five us had a business dinner on Thursday, 07/24/14, The restaruant was busy, but we used the open table reservations on line and were sat immediately upon arrival. The waiter was extremely attentive and knowledgable on the menu and various meat selections. It was a bit noiser than I would have liked, but everyone enjoyed their meals and we had a nice evening."

  • "I've eaten at the Pittsburgh Blue in Edina several times and had an outstanding experience. The noise level was high. My salmon had a bit of an odor and did not taste fresh. The manager did offer to replace it and took it off the bill. Our server was excellent. Just not my favorite dining experiences."

  • "Pittsburgh Blue is truly a high end dinning experience. The entire meal from start to finish was awesome. I highly recommend the scallops appetizer. It comes on a piece of Texas toast, with bacon and a hollandaise sauce...divine. I then had the peppered ribeye with the blue cheese topping. My table also shared the famous blue hash browns. Everything was the best I have ever tasted. Kudos to our server Lisa who also made our dinning experience wonderful. Expect to pay more then a regular night out, but well worth the cost."

  • "My two friends and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Lobster dishes are there emphasis now. We all enjoyed our selections including the garlic rolls that were served before lunch. My and one friend's lobster bisque was absolutely great and my spinach salad with strawberries and candied walnuts delish. Our server and her shadow were friendly and professional as well as personable. I will definitely go back for lunch; I've been there for the marvelous steaks at dinner time but never thought of it as a lunch venue. Now I know differently!"

  • "We have been here so many times and have loved it, but we had family from Wisconsin here for this weekend and bragged about how great the prime is and told them we wanted to treat them to dinner and they were all excited.. this time I was embarrassed to have bragged so much on how it falls apart and melts in your mouth.. because not one prime was tough all 6 were, we spent more time trying to cut it than eating it hot. We sent one back and they brought another and still tough on the new one...the potatoes and salad were good."

  • "Everyone that worked with us went UP AND BEYOND they are exceptional at their positions. I don't like tables (not private enough for me) I forgot to ask when booking for a booth and so I mentioned it to the hostess as we walked to table she was very accommodating and did so pleasently which really makes a difference. It was our 18 yr anniversary so I appreciate her doing that. Great food great service!"

  • "Waited over 15 minutes to be served a drink after the server acknowledged that it was not a particularly busy night; he told us their computer system was being “cranky”. Served stale bread; the manager apologized and said it must have come from the “bottom of the bread bowl”. Really? Shrimp cocktail; clearly frozen shrimp. Just terrible; still had that dry, frozen taste. Atmosphere/lighting was just depressing. We eat out just about every week, and I frankly cannot remember the last time a dining experience was this completely terrible. The server and manager apologized for the issues I mentioned, but it seemed like everyone was just going through the motions; I had the feeling they didn’t want to be there any more than I did."

  • "Prices would suggest a much higher end experience than you will find here. Food 3+/5 at best. Ambiance similar to that you would find at other chain restaurants. I did let them know in advance that this was a birthday dinner for my wife and they brought out a nice cupcake at the end of the meal--a nice surprise. Fine restaurant if you're looking to have a burger, but if you're looking for a higher end experience I'd recommend looking elsewhere."

  • "The steak was awesome...especially with the horseradish sauce. We also had the twice baked mashed potatoes...great! Could've used a bit less blues cheese on the steak wedge salad,but it was mild, so that made things bearable. Not cheap, but well worth the price."

  • "This was the first time we had gone to Pittsburgh Blue and I know we'll be back. While the noise level was a bit more than what we would have liked, the atmosphere and service made up for it. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The only minor complaint was the staff was a little too quick to clear dishes. We had received bread before dinner and were going to save some for during dinner. The staff came by and cleared our bread plates and butter knives. When our dinner arrived, we had to ask for additional knives, which wasn't a big deal."

Although there are a variety of food and drink selections to choose from, I always order the short rib nachos because they are absolutely delicious! Since I'm not much of a carnivore, I've even ordered the short rib nachos in lieu of an entrée."

  • "We had prime rib, cooked to perfection, hash browns were crisp and brown a bit greasier than we like, bread was light ,fluffy and the crust was excellent, broccoli was fresh and done perfectly. Key lime pie was good large piece big enough for 2. Waitresses were friendly and efficient, we ate at 5pm so not overly busy, noise level was at a minimum not 5 or 6 noisy radios, tvs etc like some places."

We were seated in a booth right at the dining room entry, door to outside and by a table of 14. There were tables on the other end of the dining room that would have been much better. Food remains consistent. They just seem to cater to the large expense account crowd."

  • "Celebrated my husband's 65th birthday. Started at bar with great happy hour specials. The bartender was engaging and fun... and made excellent drinks. Then moved to a table for dinner. Our waitress was very friendly and very knowledgeable of all food/menu items. Her timing between courses was exceptional. One of the best waitresses we have had in a long time (anywhere). On top of that, the filet mignon we both ordered were perfectly prepared, tendor and delicious! We will be back"

  • "This was our third time here. First time was awesome, second time ... Meh, steaks were tough and chewy and didn't get the requested booth (booked a month in advance) This last time we took my boyfriends mother for her bday/retirement and it was awesome! Our steaks were done perfectly and our Great server made the meal that much more special! Love the place but it's expensive... Good for that very special occasion but worth it!!"
