  • "Went here for lunch. First visit with my friend. Everything we had was delicious! Some of the items were: lobster tacos, steakhouse chili and their wonderful rolls with garlic & butter. The server Brendan had a huge part to do with the ambiance. If you go here, he is wondeful!!"

  • "The food was outstanding. Megan was an exceptional waitress; she cared for our needs, but didn't hover. She was classy with a great sense of humor. The ambiance was great. Good lifhting, comfortable seating. All in all, a classy place."

  • "Our service was great and the wine was superb. Now the steaks were not as good as other high end steak houses. I had the covenanted Cowboy Ribeye and it was good but not great. My wife and I both had it medium rare and noticed no juices on the plate and how can that be possible when done medium rare . We were trying to figure out if there frozen cuts of meat or what the deal is. It was a light pink inside but not over cooked. It was pink throughout with a warm cool center. We hoping it would be closer to the kind of steaks you get at Ruths Chris but its not close. I paid $50 for my ribeye and it tasted like a $25 cut. Its a good place but its a good place that just seems overpriced for what you get."

  • "Our waiter, Big Dave, was excellent. It was our first time at the restaurant and he was very helpful in making wonderful, much appreciated recommendations. I had the crab stuffed jumbo shrimp and have been dreaming of it ever since. The cocktails were mixed well. We had a great time!"

  • "The food was perfect, service was impeccable. They knew how to make you feel as if you were the only party in there"

  • "I was immediately drawn to the lobster items on their lunch menu, and ordered the lobster tacos. Our server pointed out that there were only 3 small tacos - probably not enough for a meal. We got the lobster tacos for an appetizer and I ordered the scallop sliders. The waiter was right - what a great appetizer. I would have been disappointed if I'd ordered that as my entrée."

  • "My husband and I love to go to Pittsburgh Blue. We like it more than Manny's! Unfortunately our visit Monday evening didn't live up to past experiences. It was easy to see our server was very busy. She was very nice and attentive when she had time but it was clear time was limited during the beginning portion of our visit. Our food was okay. My husband ordered a porterhouse and it was marbled like a rib eye. He was disappointed in the cut of meat he was given. I ordered fish and it was okay. Not bad but not stellar either. Overall our experience wasn't terrible but at the end of the day it didn't match past experiences. Since we love PB so much I thought I'd share the comments. This was our 1st undesirable experience."

  • "I had the lobster roll and it was way too much sandwich with hardly any lobster. Also the seafood sampler was pretty skimpy. Overall, highly over priced. My poor mother ordered the lobster caprese and that was a sad plate. My 6 year old wouldn't even be near full eating this. Great service just not so good dining."

  • "We enjoyed our evening at Pittsburgh Blue very much, however, we were greatly disappointed that while we had a reservation for 6:30 p.m. we were not seated until almost 7:15 p.m. If someone would have had tickets to a concert, show or other commitment they would not have made the time allowed due to this delay. We think that this fine restaurant should be able to keep to its scheduled reservations or closer that this much of a delay."

  • "Have been to this location several times. Each time the food is good but not great…expectations are raised each time since its associated with Manny's and is promoted as top tier steak place. Prices continue to increase as well and now over $40 for a ribeye…so expect it to be fantastic. For whatever reason, guess its a combination of things, it just doesn't get into that memorable range. Server was very good, anxious to help with suggestions and let us take our time….she was very good. Thinner crowd than in the past suggests that others are seeing the same thing."

  • "My husband and I wanted surf and turf, so he ordered the rib eye and I ordered the lobster bucatini. His steak was done to perfection, nicely seared and so tender! The bucatiini came with a nice portion of lobster and delicious seasoning. Plenty for us to share. We also had the hash browns with bacon and blue cheese. Loved it."

  • "I have been here twice. The food is excellent and a bit expensive. but I don't mind paying for great food. I will be back for special occasions."

  • "My wife brought me there for my birthday. I was skeptical because I wasn't thrilled with spending over a hundred dollars for a dinner for two. Service was fabulous, very friendly. Food was all to die for, but the filet mignon was so amazing it's difficult to describe. It was perfectly seasoned and chared on the outside, warm pink center. So tender I was able to cut through it with my fork. I was almost done devouring it when I realized there was steak sauce on the table, but it was good I think using steak sauce would been wrong. Dinner, drinks, salad, and a side of loaded mash came to $160 including tip. We didn't even bat an eye, it was that good."

  • "Went there for my b day with my familyrics and asked for a booth ahead of time and explained the reason for needing to keep my kids blocked in. I got there and the hostess said we couldn't sit in a booth. She was unpleasant and confrontational from the moment I walked into the door. Server was pleasant. One way out same hostess started talking poorly about my family and my mom overheard and said that she was the first person people see when they walk in the door and she should have a smile on her face. She shot my mom a sarcastic smile. My mom spoke with the manager. I have been to Edina and have absolutely loved it there. This location will never see me again."

  • "Nice they have a late happy hour on Saturday. Service was so, so. Happy hour foods are good, but are small servings. I would suggest they bump up the numbers on the servings. We got a "table" appetizer plate to share with 4 and it only had 3 of each item?"

  • "Interesting approach at creating your own meal. You have to order your meat and sides separately. First time I've ever seen that. Even more interesting is that you pay for them separately, and most of them come in different sizes/portions. So your complete dish ends up costing around $60-$70. However, my girlfriend and I had the best time. We have also eaten at many of the high class resteraunts around the twin cities, and so far this was the best. We are doing "Butcher & The Boar" at the end of the month, and can only hope that the food there tastes as good, and is prepared as perfectly as our meals at Pittsburgh Blue. With app, desert, and adult beverages, total bill $210. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Great experience."

  • "Started off ok until the steak came! We asked for medium well and got well (no pink) and it was literally burn on the bottom. Of course they flipped the bad side down to cover it up. The dim lighting made it hard to see this and only after a few bites it was clear. We didn't complain, but should have given them the chance to make it right. Nevertheless, a place pushing steak should know how to properly cook one. They were obviously trying to hide it. Also, the hash browns were the same way. burnt side down. For the money, buy a grill and a steak and make your own. With the prices here, you probably could. I will say the scallop appetizer was really good."

  • "We have dinned at Pittsburgh Blue numerous times for both business and personal. We usually have fabulous food but on Monday, 7/28 we went there for my husbands birthday and were extremely disappointed in the food. Service was great. My husband and son ordered the king cut prime rib and both were very disappointed in the lack of flavor and both seemed extremely fatty; more than usual. I ordered the lobster roll and also was extremely disappointed. There was so much celery & avocado, with 3 small/tiny pieces of lobster. It wasn't edible. For the price of our dinner, expectations were higher. We would like twice before returning. The last business event, we had there was also a huge disappointment because of the food quality and service."

  • "for a period there I thought the waiter had forgotten about us because it took 2 hours to get our main course and at the prices you charge that should be better"

  • "The last dinner we had here was a disappointment. We tried lunch and were excited to see they were trying some lobster dishes. I ordered the lobster roll and had to send it back. The tarragon seasoning was overwhelming. It certainly wasn't worth the $18.95 price. The server offered to bring me another dish so I tried the lobster tacos. They were just OK; the people in the booth behind me had ordered the tacos as well and sent them back. The prime rib dip sandwich was a much better choice. We'll have to explore other restaurants in the area."

  • "A good solid suburban steakhouse. The steaks are good (not great). The thickness is about 1 inch. The sides are one level below a top steakhouse. The prices are SLIGHTLY below a great steakhouse. The value is fair. It is a nice place for a nice dinner out, but at a substantial cost/value received."

  • "A group of five us had a business dinner on Thursday, 07/24/14, The restaruant was busy, but we used the open table reservations on line and were sat immediately upon arrival. The waiter was extremely attentive and knowledgable on the menu and various meat selections. It was a bit noiser than I would have liked, but everyone enjoyed their meals and we had a nice evening."

  • "As always, the food was excellent as was the service. Two problems for us: the advice on wine was disappointing and the noise level simply makes pleasant conversation a chore."

  • "We have been there many times and have always had a good experience this time the food came out cold and over cooked lobster. Very bad."

  • "I've eaten at the Pittsburgh Blue in Edina several times and had an outstanding experience. The noise level was high. My salmon had a bit of an odor and did not taste fresh. The manager did offer to replace it and took it off the bill. Our server was excellent. Just not my favorite dining experiences."

  • "We had reservations and were seated right away at a booth as we requested. Our server was fantastic. The steak was perfect, the salmon a little off from what we usually get. Decent beer list. Love that they offer Two Hearted Ale."

  • "Pittsburgh Blue is truly a high end dinning experience. The entire meal from start to finish was awesome. I highly recommend the scallops appetizer. It comes on a piece of Texas toast, with bacon and a hollandaise sauce...divine. I then had the peppered ribeye with the blue cheese topping. My table also shared the famous blue hash browns. Everything was the best I have ever tasted. Kudos to our server Lisa who also made our dinning experience wonderful. Expect to pay more then a regular night out, but well worth the cost."
