I've had the Ribeye twice and both times it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My friend and I both preferred our steaks here over Manny's. Hash browns are a must have too. Great spot that I will be coming back to.

Our night did not start our well, but got progressively better. It took 20 minutes for us to be sat for our 7:15pm reservation on a Friday night, and during that time the bartender did his best to not serve us drinks at the bar, going to another couple that had just sat down instead of us after we had been waiting for 5-10 minutes. All of the bartenders were very rude. However, I requested a nice tablet because it was our wedding anniversary and got a large booth for just the 2 of us! Our waiter was amazing!! So friendly and gave great recommendations! We had crab cakes to start (lots of crab, great spicy mayo with it) and my husband got the cowboy ribeye (he likes his rare, they cooked it perfectly- hard to find a restaurant that will do that) and I got the filet mignon medium - it had just enough pink on the inside! They comped us a cupcake and coffee because it was our anniversary!! Rocky start, but ended excellent!!

The service was excellent, but two drinks, a salad, and one entree at over $100 youd expect exquisite presentation, but it wasn't quite there. We don't go out that often for fine dining so we were really looking forward to it - we were just underwhelmed.

Our reservations were at 6:00pm; arrived 15 min. early, were seated right away. Nice open table reservations to make ahead of time. The only thing we didn't like was how close the tables were to each other; people had to squeeze by to get to their tables; one of my guests had his elbow bumped when he was taking a drink; luckily, no spill. the food again and the service was outstanding. Missy, our server, was the best we've had in a long time.

My wife and I overall enjoyed our beef. She had a tasty prime rib and I a filet. The loaded mashed potatoes were okay, nothing special in our opinion and the mushroom spinach gratin was short on mushrooms, too creamy and a little over peppered. All our food was warm but nothing was hot as if it had been sitting for some time before being served.

My wife and I had been to Ruth's Chris several weeks and enjoyed their food but we really enjoyed Pittsburgh Blue. The prices were a little high but still less than Ruth's and Pittsburgh Blue food was better. The wine list was great and the service was great even though they were extremely busy! I would definatley recommend to try Pittsburgh Blue once in awhile. Well worth it!! Clint

This was my second visit to Pittsburgh Blue. The food is excellent. The meat is perfectly prepared and the loaded potatoes are to die for. (Seriously, these potatoes are loaded with stuff that will hurt your LDL cholesterol level, but you can't stop eating them!) The staff is very attentive and the service is quick. Finished dishes are never left on the table for long. Someone is always coming by to check on your needs. If you are lucky enough to be seated at a booth around the perimeter of the dining room, the experience is quite pleasurable. However, if you are seated at one of the regular tables in the middle, it is cramped. Expect to be bumped by other guests arriving or departing from nearby tables. As the dining crowd thickens, the noise level rises to such a point that is is difficult to hear your table guest. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives. I will be dining there again.

Not a good experience for how much this place costs. We didn't get seated until 20 min after our reservation. Then we were say next to the noisy own kitchen. They moved us to a quiet area. Our service in there was good for the most part. The food was not very good. The food lacked flavor and for a 200 bill I expect it to taste wonderful. Then after we gave our server the gift card, he came back after 15 min and said our card was empty. We then sat there for 15 waiting for the manager to check it. She came back and said our card was empty. We asked to see the card, that was not our card. She left again. 15 min later the waiter came back and told us he got the cards mixed up with someone else's. He have us 20 pieces of candy..

This is the second time I took colleague in the area to Pittsburgh Blue in the last couple years. The food and service have been excellent and consistent. Highly recommended for special occasion. Steak well all done to perfection based on everyone's order. Seafood was also very good. Can't go wrong with any of the deserts either. Our retirement diner at Pittsburgh Blue was the icing on the cake for the day of celebration.

My family often goes to P.B. For special occasions, birthdays, etc. this visit was not the usual. Water was not jet on the table. We did not receive any bread - something our teenagers really look forward to- even after asking for it. We were given some to take home with us as an apology. We were celebrating my daughter's engagemt, and her dishes were cleared before she was done eating. We felt rushed out. We will be back, hoping this is a one-off experience.

The best part about our time at Pittsburgh Blue were Brendan at the bar, and Big Dave who was our server. Dave took great care of us and made our night especially fun. My sister and I brought our Mom here to celebrate her 70th birthday. He was fun, kind, hilarious and didn't miss a beat. If we come back, it will be because of him!

overall, i give this restaurant 3 out of 5 stars. the food, generally, is excellent. the coconut shrimp was terrible - over breaded, over cooked, and basically inedible. the onion soup is marginal - not much better than canned. but the steaks, oh the steaks, some of the best ever. succulent, juicy, perfectly grilled in the salamander. service was first class. but i hate when a suit comes to the table to ask about our meal without identifying himself as a manager. could have been a terrorist for all I knew. $49 for two crab legs, really? plan to spend about $75 per diner at dinner.

This time I was out of the country, so my wife and my 2 adult children took their mother out for our wedding anniversary, since I was not in the country. We eat at Pittsburgh Blue often and were disappointed for the first time. First, they were behind and sat us 25 minutes late. Then, we didn't get our requested booth, instead, we got a table that was almost in the kitchen--loud and crowded. Not what you'd expect when you pay $325 for four to have dinner.

We called to let them know we were running a few minutes late from our reservation, and they thanked us for the call and heads up and noted they would work us in as soon as we got there.
