First class will cost you but the experience and food is worth it. Very happy to have chosen this restaurant for our anniversary. Fillet was top notch and the pork chop was fantastic. Lobster cheddar hash browns were delicious. Go to this restaurant- you deserve it.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Pittsburgh Blue recently and were treated to great food and service. We had eaten lunch at the bar before, but this was our first try at dinner. Our server, Cindy, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about that the restaurant had to offer. Our steaks (standard filet and the bone on filet) were cooked exactly to order. Outstanding hashbrowns as well. While we were seated a little late, we enjoyed a drink at the bar and found their staff very friendly.

My team and I were in town from Michigan for work. We went to Pittsburgh Blue on the recommendation of a peer with our company. We were blown away by the outstanding service! Our waitress knew the menu inside and out, and her demeanor was fabulous. All her recommendations and suggestions were spot on, and the food was excellent! Highly recommend Pittsburgh Blue to anyone wanting a great dining experience.

I love this place because the food is great and the service is always friendly and accommodating. Right now they're featuring their "Fall Oyster Shuck" and we had three items from this menu -- raw oysters, the Po Boy, and the chorizo and oyster pan roast. All were great -- particularly the pan roast, which was deeply flavorful. I always have a good experience here.

First time dining here. my husband enjoys a good steak, his was good. I had pork chop & would not order that again. Pricey for what you get. $11.00 for Mac & cheese for 2 & $24.95 for the pork chop. Service was ok. One time was enough for us. If it is our choice, we won't be going back!

Applause to Pittsburgh Blue for its attempts to mimic the traditional upscale steakhouse. The service is fantastic and the food is very good, but not exceptional. Their bartender is attempting to concoct more modern twists on traditional cocktails, but they fall a bit short on class (i.e. Spicy Peanut-Infused Old Fashioned garnished with a circus peanut - what?) The steaks are tender and delicious, however, their chefs' ability to sustain consistent results in preparing steak the way you expect also underdelivers. Three out of four steaks were done to perfection; one came to the table rare when ordered medium. A decent suburbian choice for a night out for steak and drinks. Not my first choice for an exceptional dining experience.

The Blue is our favorite upscale dining spot. The food is always perfect and they have the best wait staff anywhere. Every one of them we've met has been personable, knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. Yes, it's pricey but you get what you pay for. You must try their regular hash browns, even if it's not your favorite potato dish. You haven't had hash browns until you've had these. They're addictive. One plate serves 4 unless you're dining with NFL linebackers.

My boyfriend and I made reservations here for our two year. Our waitress was on point along with her bar back. There personalities were very friendly, humorous and informative. We are both calamari fanatics and our craving was fulfilled with Pittsburgh Blues over the top calamari. I had the Aged Ribeye which was amazing and he had the Cowboy Ribeye with there mushroom sauce. Both of these were very tasty with the Cowboy being more rich and absurdly good. The mushroom sauce was outstanding. This was extra special as our waitress brought out a candle for a romantic dinner and at the end surprised us with a red velvet cupcake with a sparkler; my favorite dessert is red velvet! We will be coming back here :)

Was very disappointed with the food. Seafood Cobb salad was visually presented well, but it was bland. The lobster bisque was also sub-par. It had nice pieces of lobster, but the flavor was not there, lacking. No finesse. Nothing to write home about. Soup and a half salad for $30. You are paying for the decor. Not fit for foodies.

Chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. The service was outstanding, but that was the only good part. We were seated at a booth where I could see both the kitchen doors and the doors to another server area, and where a large, green exit sign was my main view all night. It was quiet until a family of 4 was seated at the table next to us. The kids were noisy (the little girl kept tipping her chair back and letting the legs crash to the floor) and ruined any kind of romantic dinner we had in mind. My husband's filet mignon was flat (usually you are served a nice, high, round steak) and not very tasty. My sea bass tasted fishy (meaning it was not fresh) and was spongy. I sent it back. Overall, a very disappointing experience!

Definitely NOT romantic. We loved the food and basically everything, but it was extremely noisy. My wife and I reserved online for a Saturday night and asked for quiet and cozy. We actually didn't see anywhere quiet and cozy. We don't think it was worth the $200 we spent but only because of the noise level. It's a great any night place to go with friends!

Scallop appetizer was delicious! (Slightly over priced on our opinion) Spinach salad was excellent. Caesar salad was also quite good. Both the filet and New York were very overpriced for the quality received. We both have had better quality steaks for less money at other restaurants. We received excellent service from our server's assistant and just average service from our server. Our server was not as attentive as we would have liked. We both sat with empty cocktail glasses for an unexceptable amount of time.

We went to PB largely because I'd heard good things about it and the location was good for us vs. having to trek back downtown. It was fine, adequate, average. The menu is like every other current steakhouse: lots of beef with unnecessary crusts and sauces. The mandatory sides: hashbrowns, ridiculously over-sized and typical veggies, etc. But unlike a Ruth's Chris or Murray's, PB doesn't pull it off. We ordered several appetizers and the Shrimp Cocktail was presented with dry ice. Makes a nice presentation except for the part where the dry ice turns part of the shrimp blue. The blue cheese crust on my filet was too salty. Bread was weird: just a basket of buns cooked together. Absolutely not worth the $420 for 6 of us.

The service with excellent. The noise level was way too high - needed to shout to talk across the table. The king crab legs were excellent, but the butter was cold before the meal was finished. The prime rib was tough. We would go back to try to steak, but that won't be any time soon.

We must be jinxed at the Edina location. Every visit to Maple Grove has been great. This time at Edina we were seated in a booth that had the bar area to the back even though the restaurant was pretty empty. Not a great start, very noisy. The oscar filet came with cold bernaise sauce. My wife told the waiter, and a new crab cake, asparagus, and bernaise on the side showed up 5 minutes later. The sauce was look warm at best (not good since it contains eggs). Hash browns were undercooked. Expect better.

Classic steak house, very good in all areas. My only suggestion for this place would be to do some noise control. It was very difficult to talk with my dining companions over the back round noise. We were at a table of eight and we damn near had to shout if you wanted to talk to someone across the table. Other than that it was great!

We went to Pittsburgh Blue for our 3 year anniversary. We had an excellent waitress. She was swamped with "king crab night" where the wait staff is constantly shelling the king crab for the customers, but she still was amazing. I ordered the aged ribeye and added a leg of king crab (the crab was almost the cost of my whole steak, but it was divine). Their drink menu is great as well, I had a house cocktail (3 times), and was blown away at how fresh the ingredients in it were. The steaks–awesome of course. Just when we thought we had a spectacular celebration dinner, we ordered the Key Lime Pie. OMG. Seriously, if you go here and only get one thing, make it the Key Lime Pie! Best ever. I didn't even care about the cost, well worth it!
