Chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. The service was outstanding, but that was the only good part. We were seated at a booth where I could see both the kitchen doors and the doors to another server area, and where a large, green exit sign was my main view all night. It was quiet until a family of 4 was seated at the table next to us. The kids were noisy (the little girl kept tipping her chair back and letting the legs crash to the floor) and ruined any kind of romantic dinner we had in mind. My husband's filet mignon was flat (usually you are served a nice, high, round steak) and not very tasty. My sea bass tasted fishy (meaning it was not fresh) and was spongy. I sent it back. Overall, a very disappointing experience!

We had an excellent experience at Pittsburgh Blue. It was my son's 9th birthday and they went out of their way to make him feel special. Our waitress was great and so was her assistant. He was jonny on the spot.

We took my Grandmother there recently, to celebrate her 86th birthday and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. It was our first time there, and from the moment we walked in I was highly impressed with the staff and ambience. Our waiter, Kevin, was AMAZING! Spot on recommendations and great personality. The food itself highly exceeded expectations- I will definitely be going back soon!!

we brought new friends to dinner as a thank you to them - and as is true for everyone we introduce to Pittsburgh Blue, they were so impressed with the quality of the food & menu choices - and the always efficient but never intrusive wait staff. Definitely NOT romantic. We loved the food and basically everything, but it was extremely noisy. My wife and I reserved online for a Saturday night and asked for quiet and cozy. We actually didn't see anywhere quiet and cozy. We don't think it was worth the $200 we spent but only because of the noise level. It's a great any night place to go with friends!

Scallop appetizer was delicious! (Slightly over priced on our opinion) Spinach salad was excellent. Caesar salad was also quite good. Both the filet and New York were very overpriced for the quality received. We both have had better quality steaks for less money at other restaurants. We received excellent service from our server's assistant and just average service from our server. Our server was not as attentive as we would have liked. We both sat with empty cocktail glasses for an unexceptable amount of time.

We went to PB largely because I'd heard good things about it and the location was good for us vs. having to trek back downtown. It was fine, adequate, average. The menu is like every other current steakhouse: lots of beef with unnecessary crusts and sauces. The mandatory sides: hashbrowns, ridiculously over-sized and typical veggies, etc. But unlike a Ruth's Chris or Murray's, PB doesn't pull it off. We ordered several appetizers and the Shrimp Cocktail was presented with dry ice. Makes a nice presentation except for the part where the dry ice turns part of the shrimp blue. The blue cheese crust on my filet was too salty. Bread was weird: just a basket of buns cooked together. Absolutely not worth the $420 for 6 of us.

The service with excellent. The noise level was way too high - needed to shout to talk across the table. The king crab legs were excellent, but the butter was cold before the meal was finished. The prime rib was tough. We would go back to try to steak, but that won't be any time soon.

We must be jinxed at the Edina location. Every visit to Maple Grove has been great. This time at Edina we were seated in a booth that had the bar area to the back even though the restaurant was pretty empty. Not a great start, very noisy. The oscar filet came with cold bernaise sauce. My wife told the waiter, and a new crab cake, asparagus, and bernaise on the side showed up 5 minutes later. The sauce was look warm at best (not good since it contains eggs). Hash browns were undercooked. Expect better.

We went to Pittsburgh Blue for our 3 year anniversary. We had an excellent waitress. She was swamped with "king crab night" where the wait staff is constantly shelling the king crab for the customers, but she still was amazing. I ordered the aged ribeye and added a leg of king crab (the crab was almost the cost of my whole steak, but it was divine). Their drink menu is great as well, I had a house cocktail (3 times), and was blown away at how fresh the ingredients in it were. The steaks–awesome of course. Just when we thought we had a spectacular celebration dinner, we ordered the Key Lime Pie. OMG. Seriously, if you go here and only get one thing, make it the Key Lime Pie! Best ever. I didn't even care about the cost, well worth it!

Great happy hour with wonderful appetizers. Though not on the happy hour menu, we had the scallop appetizer which was amazing. Tenderloin bites were tasty and the grill cheese fingers dipped in the tomato fondue reminded us of our childhood years eating grilled cheese and tomato soup. The crab dip had visible crab meat and great lettuce wraps. Service was great as well.

Have always had excellent experience at Blue. This is the first time I felt any disappointment. Felt the hash browns were overdone on the outside. While I did not order the top cut of meat (went for the sirloin that was listed as a specialty) I thought it was very ordinary and not particularly flavorful. A very ordinary piece of meat. Everything else was great, the scallop appetizer (one of my wife's favorites, the iceberg wedge salad. The service was wonderful as our server let us dictate the pace.

4 of us were celebrating a birthday and looking forward to a nice dinner at PB.It was 10 minutes before our waiter arrived to take drink orders. A waitress brought them and it was at least 15 minutes before our waiter returned. We odered a couple appetisers, the waitress brought those as well. We had to ask her for another round of drinks. The food arrived a half hour after we ordered. My plate had a dinky little cold steak on it. Nothing else. When the waitress put our plates down she said the fries did not look good so she had to reorder them. My guess is our food sat around getting cold and that is why the fries looked bad. 10 minutes later, when everyone was done eating the waiter showed up with our 2 orders of fries. Disappointing!
