Some dishes delicious. Others, average. It depends on how much sauce is involved - some dishes can get a little heavy.

My husband and I enjoyed the method of cooking for our fish dishes, but they were virtually tasteless. Lots of ingredients went into each dish, but seasoning was minimal. I wasn't keen on the sauce for the swordfish and it was a "special!" Plus it cost us $90 for two fish dinners and we split a salad. To boot, they charged for splitting the salad when the waitress offered it to us without telling us there was a $2.00 sharing charge.

They have 8 items on the regular menu and 12 specials printed on a separate sheet all without any printed prices. When we asked the waitress, she said "what would you like to know?" All of them! Why don't they print the prices?? Part of deciding what to eat is the cost! The food was only okay and the server was unfriendly. When we arrived, she was pouring water and didn't even greet - or even look at us. We informed her we had an 8PM show and had to leave at 7:45. She said "you should be all right". Wrong answer. How about "thanks for letting me know. I will make sure the timing works so you will make your show". We ordered dessert at 7:20 and had to remind her at 7:35. Mostly it was her whole demeanor. I don't think she likes people.

Tried to book reservation thru open table on 11/1 for seating at 6:00 pm but only open times were 5:00 and 5:15. We took the 5:15 reservations had a great meal, dessert and coffee. Left a 7:00 and there where at least 10 open tables. Could not understand why we could not get a 6:00 reservations.

Although the steak was a little more done than medium rare, it was enjoyable nonetheless, especially with regard to the saute sauce. My swordfishwas very good. The interior is mostly hard surfaces, so the designer probably figured on the noise levels to be elevated intentionally. Although this is kind of fun or the more energetic, people with hearing isues like me may have conversational dificulties.

Everything was just perfect, couldn't ask for more. From the very prompt getting our table (we had a reservation) to the last cup of coffee - everything was superb. Mark, our waiter, was very attentive, the dishes excellent Started with the Tomato Napoleon appetizer (plenty for 2 to share without overkilling yourself), my spouse had Penne with Sausage & Chicken while I opted for Chicken Mason generous portions and cooked to die for We love PG!!!

My friends and I went to the Pistachio Grill for the first time on Saturday. It's been at my local strip mall, next to the beer distributor for years, but somehow I never made it in. I've always heard good things about it and was not disappointed. The menu was varied and the waitress told us that since everything was made to order, all dishes could be customized. It's also a BYOB, so it really is a neighborhood gem. The salads were fresh and interesting. I had scallops for a main course and they were lovely. We all enjoyed our meals and would definitely return. I'm glad I finally tried it. Better late than never!

We have dined here four times. The food is good. My husband had the filet and enjoyed it. I had the scallops and they were good. Fairly small in size for the price but had a good taste and prepared well. Love that we can BYOB and it's quiet enough to have conversation without shouting.

Pistachio Grille is a favorite for my husband and myself and we go at least several times a year. We have not had a bad experience there...great! food, great ambiance and great service; however, this time, although we did have great service, our server was a very LOUD talker. It was almost abrasive how naturally loud her voice is and it almost detracted from our enjoyment and relaxation levels. Other than that, we had a marvelous dinner (crab-cake for me and pork chop for hubby, key-lime pie for dessert). We used a groupon which I purchased on sale, so that really helped to defray the cost of our dinner out. Being a BYOB helps but it can still get a little pricey...at least for us. However, it's well worth every penny!

We come to Pistachio Grille about 4-5 times a year. This time, unfortunately, we feel that that the food was not quite up to par as per our previous experiences. The service was very good, but while most of the times we order from Chef's Specials menu - this time we opted for regular menu entrees I cannot say that the food was bad, that would be completely wrong, but.... it just was not "OH WOW" that we are used to in this restaurant. If anything, my wife truly did not like her Seared Chicken Breast; it had a peculiar taste. My Penne With Sausage & Chicken was tasty but, again, nothing to rave about. To be fair - this will not stop us from going there in the future

Loved the appetizers - mushrooms, risotto, fried tomato etc. My entree (pork chop) a little disappointing. Other guests happy with their choices, particularly the rack of lamb. Key lime pie excellent. Waiter was very nice. Did not appreciate that the prices for the specials were not stated either on the printed menu card or when the waiter told us the daily specials

We have been to this location numerous other times. In the past our experience was enjoyable, this one was just so-so. The waitress was loud, animated but not really friendly. She spent much more time with her other tables? The food was straightforward, not special as we were used to. Even the bill arrived without the usual pistachios at the end. And when my husband asked if his calamari appetizer was supposed to have shrimp & sausage our server said "yes", apologized half-heartedly that his dish did not have either, and that was that. It might be awhile before we return.

I've been enjoying Pistachio for quite some time now...I like the menu offerings, the service and most especially the food !! This time a friend invited me to dinner sharing a coupon she had purchased through a social website...everything was fine until the bill came !! We had both ordered one the evening's specials...the filet...it was cooked perfectly, and it was delicious; however, when she showed me the bill, I was truly embarrassed...the filets were $35.00 each !! not used to those prices out here. Is there a way that the server could be instructed to tell the customers the prices of the day's specials? I've been to restaurants where that is common practice.it would be very helpful especially to older folks on limited budgets.THANKS

Love the lobster and shrimp bisque. Had a positive experience in the past and wanted to take a friend. Went back and tried something new. Food was good. Only concern is that I did not ask price for specials. Decided to order an appetizer special as an meal which they were able to accommodate. However, when I got the bill I was a little surprised at price. Surprising since most the prices at place are reasonable. I will ask next time. Food and service was good!

Me and my husband ate here on Saturday night. The food was very good, not great. My husband had rack of lamb and I had chioppino. The lamb was medium rare, not rare as requested, though the better choice. The fish in the chioppino and the pasta were overcooked. We had calamari for an appetizer and that was excellent. They serve very good bread with sweet peppers in olive oil and that is an excellent treat to start your meal. I wish our whole meal was as good as that was. Pistachio Grille is a BYOB

This was our first visit to Pistachio and we chose it because it was nearby and it was a BYOB. First of all I want to say that the staff was very friendly and they did a great job. However the attention to detail and the food was just mediocre. When we sat down I had a dirty fork that wasn't noticed until I had to tell the waiter to bring me another fork. It was a very hot day outside and the restaurant wasn't very cool inside and was a bit uncomfortable. I had the crab and shrimp bisque soup, which was service slight warmer than luke warm and had neither any schrimp or crab meat in it. My mom got the veal scaloppini and she said it was too tough to cut and she didn't like it. I had the duck and it was good, but not outstanding.

We live nearby but had never eaten here. We we're looking for outside dining so decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by how cute the place is and very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the taste and presentation of the food. My wife had crab and lobster bisque and I had gespacho. Both very good. I had vegetable lasagna which was too cheesy but my wife had swordfish that was very good. We ate outside which was pleasant but is situated on the parking lot which actually was very quiet. Being BYO was additional bonus. Staff was incredibly attentive and pleasant. We will be going back.

Pistachio's is favorite of ours, in an area where the are few really good restaurants. We decided to introduce a special friend to the place, since she lives at Foulkeways, a nearby retirement community. She loved it, and took a number of business cards to share with her friends. She and I both had the crabmeat martini appetizer, which was fabulous! I added 2 other appetizers, including Pistacio's wonderful fried oysters. She and my husband both ordered the veal scallopinni. This was the one disappointment of the night. The veal was overwhelmed by the veggies that were cooked with it. But the creme brûlée was very good. Don't forget to bring your own wine!

This was our first time at this restaurant. We loved the ambience and Laura our server was very attentive without being intrusive. The complimentary bread and roasted peppers were great. We ordered the calamari which was a little overdone and chewy for our taste. Salads are huge so it's better to split one. Entrees were generous and we all enjoyed our selection and agreed we would come back again to try some of the other selections. All in all, this was a wonderful experience.

First, they were not open at 11 am..(reservation was for 11 ) we both had the crab bisque..it was so so ...the crab was hard to find, and it was dark and not hot enough..Then I ordered the chicken quesadilla, only to be told that they did not have any sour cream...(I almost offered to go across the street to the big supermarket, I'm sure they sell sour cream)anyhow, I took it ...it was ok... We've been to Pistachio Grill before and it has been one of our favorite spots. The food is very good, well prepared and presented, and right-sized portions. The atmosphere is also commendable, -- comfortable and with an ambiance appropriate for a small, intimate dinner. It is a BYOB, definitely our preference! We had one problem which, while not taking away from the food itself, was reflective of a service problem. Generally there are three menus, one with prices and then without prices a small one and the verbally presented specials.. Prior to ordering, we asked the server for the prices. She told us (there were 4 of us) the prices, we ordered, and then when the bill came, the prices for two of our dinners were $10 more each. Didn't fix.

Really enjoyed the food - however did not know this is BYOB - or that in PA you have to buy wine at a special outlet - so had a 'dry' meal. Such a good meal, my husband and I returned the next evening with another couple, AND two bottles of wine. The key lime pie is killer - my husband's fave so have had all over the country, and this might be the best. Service was casual but friendly and attentive. You may not think to frequent this restaurant based on the strip mall location, but the ambience inside and white table cloths make you forget the location once you are inside. Highly recommend you try.
