A word from Pistache French Bistro
PISTACHE is a Parisian-style French bistro with a Mediterranean twist. It serves simple, delicious meals made with fresh, local and imported products. It seats 180 people and is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
Prices are moderate and the recipes nutritionally healthy. Service is casual and efficient. The atmosphere is upbeat with a definite European flair. The interior is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, which defined most brasseries and bistros opened in 1920"s Paris. It boasts cozy seating with numerous red leather banquettes, a full bar and giant antique mirrors. The restaurant has a feel of "Always been there". It is classic, retro-modern and sophisticated but unpretentious.
The outdoor patio overlooks Centennial Park, the Fountains and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is shaded with large umbrellas and seats 30 people in a Riviera-like setting.

At reservation I had a special request to the owner to meet my guests from France. He did and even served us a delicious appetizer himself. We were seating by the big open doors as requested with the magnific view of the Fountains so the noise was behind us inside.. The prices are right for the great food that I am used to in Quebec. Great wines and good service.

As usual, nothing was a disappointment. The anticipation is worth the wait. You feel like you are entering a French restaurant in Montmartre in the style of the Belle Époque. The menu has so many yummy things but I always choose moulles frites. It's the best. My friend enjoyed her chicken paillard and onion soup. They have a white Bordeaux that I never can find on any other menu. Our server, J. T., Is professional, friendly and always sees to it that the pace of our meal is perfectly timed. I go back often for a repeat performance and I exit knowing I made the right choose regardless of all the restaurants on Clematis St. C'est manifique.

This French Bistro has nice atmosphere, superb French Onion Soup, and all around great fare. Mussels were in a wonderful sauce, but additional bread for dipping arrived after all other guests had been cleared. Salads were tasty and the smoked salmon was as well. Service was cordial, but spotty.

This is one of those very good, consistent restaurants that I turn to and never get disappointed. The waitstaff are very professional and welcoming. Since we sat outside, the noise wasn't an issue but inside can be noisy when they get busier.

With reservations made well in advance, we were greated by a lady, who was impersonal, and acted as if she was doing us a favor finding a tiny table not ment for more than one. The waiter had a sarcastic grin on his face and mostly shined with his abcense once our orders were placed. Very impersonal. Food was delivered by a "runner" who obviously had no idea about what was for who. The steak tartar was excellent, the French fries inferior. The mahi mahi was tasty but small. Coffee tasteless.

Everything is excellent, except the noise level. They need to change the acoustics. The talking amongst the tables reverberates off the ceilings and walls and makes the place much noisier than it has to be. Simple changes to the ceiling and wall coverings would make it MUCH more enjoyable. It is difficult to hold a normal conversation without almost shouting at each other. And yet, there were no large, loud parties going on. It was simply the other tables, all talking, each trying to talk over the noise from the others. The food is EXCELLENT, and so is the service. Once the noise problem is solved, this will be THE place to go for incredible French cuisine

The french fries here are extraordinary. Unfortunately, the main courses that our dinner party of 4 had were just average, and one was below-average. The noise level at our 7pm Saturday reservation was such that we could barely hear our friends sitting across a very small table from us. While the service was very good, the noise level and food quality make this restaurant one that I cannot go back to.

We have been to Pistache many times and it continues to be one of the best restaurants in Palm Beach County. The menu is amazing and I am now trying different menus item where I was always ordering the same two items. Moules et Frites and Steak & Frites. Every item on the menu is amazing which I am now finding out. We have taken many of friends there to introduce them to Pistache and have found out that they have gone there many times on their own and with their friends. A great restaurant with amazing food.

I had a Steak Tartar that was as good, if not better, than the one I had in Paris two weeks ago. Finally went to Pistache, with great expectations based on their web site 'puffing'. Didn't take long for disappointment to set in. Water glasses were dirty, and served with bus boys hands all over the rim. Disgusting. Then, the silverware was dirty. Waitress had personality of a glass of water. No enthusiasm, no desire to make our experience special. She didn't even relate all specials and soup du jour. Sparsely any cheese on french onion soup. Coq au vin a disaster. Red wine/vinegar broth was overwhelmingly bad tasting. It even looked bad. The place is hardly worth even speaking about, unless I can stop someone from going there and wasting their time and money.

Obviously a very popular place in a popular location in West Palm Beach. Pistache has very good service and food, but it's not the healthiest of dishes. But, what would one expect from a French Bistro. For lovers of French style cuisine, this would be an excellent place with a very lively and noisy atmosphere. It would quite warm outside, so most were inside the night we dined.

The food was outstanding. The best French opinion soup we've had since our trip to Paris last summer. I had the half chicken- carrot purée was like candy. My partner had the filet and was equally pleased. Pistachio creme brule is superb! Our waiter started out a touch cold but he warmed up to us right away...there was a wedding going on when we got there so it was a bit loud at first, but after a glass of wine we didn't seem to notice. We will definitely be coming back here.
