A word from Pistache French Bistro
PISTACHE is a Parisian-style French bistro with a Mediterranean twist. It serves simple, delicious meals made with fresh, local and imported products. It seats 180 people and is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Prices are moderate and the recipes nutritionally healthy. Service is casual and efficient. The atmosphere is upbeat with a definite European flair. The interior is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, which defined most brasseries and bistros opened in 1920"s Paris. It boasts cozy seating with numerous red leather banquettes, a full bar and giant antique mirrors. The restaurant has a feel of "Always been there". It is classic, retro-modern and sophisticated but unpretentious. The outdoor patio overlooks Centennial Park, the Fountains and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is shaded with large umbrellas and seats 30 people in a Riviera-like setting.Continued

  • "This restaurant sits across from the fountain on Clematis Street which makes it a very lovely setting for outdoor dining. The food was imaginative but not awesome. Our watermelon salad was enjoyable. The escargot were really good with just enough garlic to make them tasty but not overwhelming. The fish in the bouillabaisse, however, was sparse and somewhat overcooked. Overall, our meal was enjoyable if somewhat pricey."

  • "From what I had read, this seemed to be the perfect French restaurant to celebrate a birthday. It was not at all. The wine list was very limited for what was in stock. The service level was that of a fast food joint. The quality of the food was the only redeeming factor for not getting up and leaving. I realize that sometimes you can understaff near a holiday such as this case was, but this was a very disappointing experience to endure, so never again would I go to this place when I visit WPB."

  • "Brazil was featured on this first night of 2014's Tour du Monde: Pistache's Annual Passport trip through 11 countries from May to Oct. If you obtain a free "Passport," and have it stamped 9 of 11X during the Tour du Monde, you may enter a contest for a prize of 2 airline tickets to Paris! The food is great at these reasonably priced Prix Fixe dinners, portions are generous, our waiter (JP) is first rate (we've known him for years, ask for him!), a 20% gratuity is added. PISTACHE is justifiably famous for it's charcuterie. On Brazilian night, a First Course of homemade sausage was delicious! For Dessert: Islands in the Snow w/ Guava & Mango sauces drizzled on top, Delish! Brazilian jazz was wafting in the air and decor was Carnivale-like."

First, Louis ignored us two ladies and went to the table seated after us - a couple. Then he could not answer questions and then he forgot to put our dinner order in which caused us to be late for the theater across the street. We will go back for everything else but definitely NOT in Louis's station."

Among us we had the mussels, the french onion soup, the escargots, beet salad, mixed green salad, and grilled salmon. Everything was excellent. We dined on the porch, looking out over the park next door, and enjoyed the ambience. The weather was very pleasant at 7 PM. We have dined at Pistache before and we will return again."

  • "Walked past this place many times, finally tried it. The decor of the place is great, the service was very good, and the food was awesome. We started with the Burgundy Escargots, and one of the only reasons I gave the food a 4 star rating is because I was not a huge fan of the lemon in the escargot. Entree-wise, I had the Steak Frites which was seared and cooked beautifully. Mom went with the Hudson Valley Duck with the Truffle Polenta, which was delicious and also quite interesting with the Cherry Sauce. We shared the Lobster Truffle Mac and Cheese which was, far and away, my favorite dish from the night. The Crepes Suzette was disappointing because it didn't seem to be flambeed as listed on the menu, but was still great regardless. "

  • "My husband and I reserved a table for a late dinner. Our server, Gus was very informative and helpful. We decided to try a few small plates and would perhaps order a meal to share....because there were so many great dishes that we wanted to try them all!! Well.....the small plates were VERY generous.....so we saved room for dessert.....the chocolate crepe!! Dont pass this one by!! Delicious!! Superb meal!! Biggest problem was parking!! We paid $15 at some lot on the street....felt like we got robbed!!"

  • "We enjoyed our brunch on Mother's Day. When they sat us, they did not have a high chair even though we had noted that we needed on on our reservation. Fortunately, they brought one after five minutes. There were 10 selections on the fixed menu which was pricey especially in comparison to their regular menu but food was delicious and service was excellent. It is a place we would go back."
