Piropos Grille - Parkville reviews from OpenTable diners

As an out-of-town guest, I'd classify Piropos as worth the cost of the plane ticket and the hotel. It was fabulous. Had fantastic steak and seafood (even though the Midwest isn't known for it). It seemed very reasonably priced to us for the quality of the food, but it seemed like locals thought it a bit expensive. Piropos is best visited after a little time exploring Parkville, the world’s cutest little historic, artsy area ever. The dining room had a lot of romantic ambiance and a great view, especially at sunset.

Pirapos came through with a fantastic dinner. Began by splitting an avocado & tomato salad. Great blend of vinegary tart with the sweet of the tomatoes. My wife had a fish taco for her entree. I enjoyed the KC strip, which was superb. The fried spinach side was wonderful, more like a stirfry in taste and texture and seasoned well. Dessert was tres leches cake and a signature coffee drink, Cafe Pirapos. A lovely dinner with no complaints.

We went there on Sat night, take 40 mins or so to drive there. Actually it used to be one of my favorite place and I was looking forward for it for a while. We sat there almost 15 mins and no any server came and filled us water. Kinda disappointed because it was not busy at all. Steak came out with too well done but server came and fixed it right away. Other than that, everything was fine. I just wish it was better like it used to..

We have dined at this Grille a number of times. In many ways, the food offered was great and had that charm and distinctive taste. This last outing offered very plain food with very little character and non-distinct taste.

had fish taco-interesting & tasty. My empenada needed some kind of sauce, Spinach salad huge improvement of one had one Father's Day because of addition of fried goat cheese ball, but was missing candied nuts & dressing I remember, so it wasn't the fantastic one I had here before. Steak was perfectly cooked, tender & delicious. Malbec red was very nice. too full to have dessert. A very nice meal and quiet enough we could actually talk to the couple with us without shouting. What a joy.

My calamari appetizer was outstanding-large portion & perfectly cooked. My spinach salad was a disappointment because i had had a different version there before that was out of this world. Our steak entree was tender, cooked perfectly and was big enough to share. We had a very nice red wine with our meal. We are going back with another couple soon.

Did not have the experience I expected. Several friends have recommended Pirapos and we were given a gift card for our anniversary. We departed a bit from the traditional Argentine menu with a seafood platter and trout christina. Place was not really croweded when we ate there... middle of week, early dinner. Food was slow to arrive and the manager offered us a bowl of soup on the house while we waited. We enjoyed a bowl of tomoto basil soup that was exquisite. When entrees came our order was wrong. They did not charge for wrong order and gave us a free dessert. Still a dissappointing experience though.

We kept forgetting to visit on a Wednesday, when bottles under $50 are half price - finally, a Wednesday popped up when we had no food in the fridge and we thought of Piropos. What a lovely evening, perhaps one of the last this summer when outside dining won't be too hot - perfect temps, a cool breeze, a wonderful view of Parkville, all coupled with a marvelous Malbec, tender salmon, generous skewers and a marvelous tomato bisque... One of our party ordered the pork chops and they were HUGE and tender! She took one home for a wonderful leftover! Service was attentive and friendly, and we all commented on the extensive knowledge level. Perfect from start to finish!

My wife and I went on Easter Sunday and after the brunch and rush, thus it was very slow and quiet but they were welcoming. We started with the specialty drink and then had wine with dinner. The food was very good, and although my wife’s steak was cooked incorrectly they graciously took care of it. Overall a very good experience and while the location is approximately 45 minutes from home we will go back.

We had both been wanting to visit Piropos in Parkville. We had read several reviews and they were mixed but we still wanted to experience it for ourselves. We are so glad we did. Fantastic view and experience. My date had the beef and vegetable skewers. It was excellent. The meat was very tasty and oh, so tender and although they said they were out, to our surprise, there were several chunks of chorizo on the skewer anyway. She said the rice was excellent and the beans tasted good as well. I had the seafood grill plate with scallops, shrimp and fish. All were very tasty and grilled to perfection. The complimentary toast and dipping sauces were fantastic as was the avocado, tomato and onion salad. A wonderful experience.

This was our first visit to Piropos Grille; it won't be our last! We have dined at the "old" Piropos in Parkville and the new one in Briarcliff many times. My wife and I enjoy the Parkville atmosphere much more. And most importantly, the food seems more authentically Argentinian than what the Briarcliff location offers up. Everything was delicious and the prices are more "in line" than Briarcliff as well.

What a wonderful dining experience! We arrived about 30 minutes early and had a drink in the bar area. The bartender was very attentive and made a mean martini! The hostess seated us at a table where only one of us could see the view. When our waitress came we asked if we could move to another table and she moved us right away. Our waitress was awesome. She was attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the pork chops and my boyfriend had the stuffed chicken. Both dishes were amazing! Great food!
