Went for a much needed catching up session with a dear friend. The food was excellent, the service was perfect and the atmosphere was vibrant without the noise. Seriously, it was great to be able to speak in a normal voice and hear each other. Would definitely recommend to those who enjoy interesting and different food. Would also be a great place for a romantic dinner.

Wonderful, wonderful! The menu was creative ... the food was absolutely marvelous and presented so beautifully! My selections, combined with the recommendations of our server, were excellent and paired nicely. I selected various tapas and one entree to share between two people. The service was efficient and the courses were not rushed and were delivered in a timely manner. The drive from my hotel in Union Square was approximately 15 minutes, and I was not familiar with the area. Piqueos is located in a quiet neighborhood and ample parking is available on neighboring side streets. Bright colors are used throughout the restaurant and the music is contemporary and subtle. There is a nice selection of wines available, as well. Enjoy, as I did!

We were very pleasantly pleased with Piqueos, from the very extensive and unique menu, to the decor and to the quality of the food. Very flavorable, unique combinations, fairly fast service and pleasant overall. Nice ambiance. Only challenge was that we ordered short ribs and didn't find out they were out of them until we completed our first course of the meal and they were due up next....and when the bill was delivered, the charge for the short ribs was still on there. Handled politely by the staff, just a bit sloppy on that one note. Otherwise, very pleased and will return again.

Food remains very good and price to value ratio for food is high. It seemed more crowded - like a few more tables wedged in - since the last time we were there and my wife, whose back was to the traffic, kept being bumped by wait staff as they passed. The service was spotty and the kitchen timing was off - my main course arrive 5 to 7 minutes after my wife's. She was almost done before I could start. That should never happen. Overall - very good food, but you need to put up with a lot to enjoy it.

Piqueos offered one of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time. I took my friend there for her birthday and was flat out impressed with the food quality from start to finish. The fried chickpea appetizer was phenomenal. The executive chef/owner gave us a complementary Ceviche that was outstanding. Each of the tapas we ordered were seasoned perfectly and just the right portion size for our appetite. To close out a great evening, the server brought out a delicious fudge cake with a candle for my friend. I don't usually take the time to write restaurant reviews, but decided to leave one for Piqueos based on the great experience we had there. Outstanding food and good service to boot. I will be back.

Piqueos is an excellent restaurant for Peruvian Tapas. The menu provides a variety of small plates that it gives the oportunity to experience very exotic food. The only downfall I see at this restaurant is that is too small and that the bathroom is the same for male and female. They need to expand for the curtomer confort.....they do have the potencial to go for it.

We went on a Monday night. It was not too busy, the food and service was amazing. My favorite dish was...all of them. We had 6 tapas dishes between the 2 of us. The quinoa salad, fried oysters, stuffed alvocado, sweet corn tamale, fried plantains, and dessert. Every single dish was amazing, and they had a pretty good wine list. We had a Rioja and it paired perfectly with everything. Overall, I loved this place.

The food was fantasic. The free appetizer of garbanzo beans with what I call mote was delicious!!! I ordered the salmon and my date had the halibut stuffed with shrimp. We both agreed the they were the best fish plates we've had. The service was spectacular, our server was always there to refill our water. We had asked what he recommended for wine and it was delicious! I would definitely go back there again. Being of Ecuadorian decent and growing up eating spanish food, this was the best food I've tasted short of my mom's cooking :)

While I usually love this restaurant, Saturday night they were overbooked. When we finally got our table, it was in a back room, with chef jackets hanging on a hook above my head and someone's shoes under my chair. Hopefully they will realize that it is better to turn people away on a busy night than to serve them a mediocre dinner.

We had one of the best dining experiences at Piqueos that we could have hoped for. It was our first time and we chose it based on other reviews and recommendations. The food was simply fantastic, richly flavored and perfectly balanced between deeply simmered sauces and freshly chopped garnishing toppers. Our group of four was delighted with our meal and our experience, and we highly recommends this restaurant to others. Reservations recommended.
