"At PIPS you will always find the food well prepared and tasty, the music, always enjoyable and a good mix through the week. The waitstaff is amazing and attentive. The Sunday Jazz Brunch is fantastic and Cal Bennett is the BEST!"

"Pips on La Brea is a center city restaurant that balances entertainment ambiance and food in a reasonably priced full package. We had a large group on the patio for a Saturday Night. Since the restaurant is also a Jazz club, the energy and the noise is quite high. Speaking with your friends is somewhat difficult. The food was delicious and well presented. The thin crust shrimp pizza was quite good. I would rate this restaurant as a rare find, somewhat of a gem of a patio with the most beautiful mature fig tree gracing the center. I would most certainly return!"

"I have been several times but this time I tied the signature pasta dish & was blown away! I've always known their pizza to be great and their french bread served with crushed garlic in olive oil yummy but this time I was extra pleased. Live Latin Jazz was the cherry on top"

"Service is very good and waiters are friendly and comfortable interacting with guests. PIPS has a warm friendly atmosphere and you feel relaxed. As always, the music is special. It is great to have such a wonderful restaurant close to where I live. Also, it is not overpriced and the food is comparable to high end restaurants. I have recommended PIPS to friends. The owner also makes one feel that he appreciates you coming to PIPS."
