Pio Pio - Hell's Kitchenawesomealways a great experience. one of their best locations in the city. perfect for large parties, work dinners and special occasions. always festive, great food, fun drinks and unique experience for a reasonable price.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great experience, foodWhat a great experience, food is excellent, and what a terrific value! This was my first time dining here, but I'll absolutely be back!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMMore Interesting Food Out Far WestFrom the unassuming storefront in a new building on 10th Avenue, the restaurant opens up afte the long bar to a sunken large dining room with a balcony around it. This is a large place, with a beautiful interior with cieling and walls of bound sticks (I know, sounds strange but works well, with good lighting). A short but good and reasonably priced wine list. The mixed Ceviche was outstanding. Lots of interesting things to try, so we'll be back. Great for pre-dinner at the new Signature Theatre two short blocks away.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThe staff drinks n food areThe staff drinks n food are amazing! We had a blast!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat tasting Peruvian foodGreat tasting Peruvian food in a nice and modern ambiance.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFood very well prepared andFood very well prepared and fresh, but the ceviche arrives looking unappetizing--presentation needs work. Waitstaff is very attentive, but the ladies at the front desk ooze with an attitude that can only be called alienating. Glad we had an early dinner, because by 8:30 on a Thursday night the place was packed and very loud.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough the wait staff wasAlthough the wait staff was friendly and attentive and the food was incredible, our appetizers were VERY slow to come out from the kitchen. We were STARVING! That was our only complaint. Otherwise, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, even all my super foodie friends.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place was great, a lotThis place was great, a lot of space for groups, and a lot of dishes were meant for sharing (like the Matador chicken combo and the Jalea seafood medley). When we were there, there were several big parties celebrating birthdays so it was quite festive with music and clapping.
I liked this place but would try out some other Peruvian place next time. I think the chicken portion needs to be bigger. The Matador combo is a bit overrated - most of it is the sides, and there definitely needs to be more chicken...you come here for the rotisserie chicken, not the salad or the plantains...3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGood for the green sauce and groupsPio Pio has the most consistent and excellent lunch special in the neighborhood. It $10 for 1/4 rotisserie chicken, side, salad and soda. I've taken large groups for a business lunch here, my dad we he visits, coworkers...everyone. The chicken is good, sides are good, salad so fresh and that green sauce--great. Definitely reccomended.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMI love this place. SecondI love this place. Second Time I have been.
