We really enjoyed the cesaer salad, the tuna burger, the kale salad, and gazpacho soup! the best part about this restaurant is that its not that difficult to just walk in without a reservation. The Parmesan Potatoes and Thai Chili Beurre Blanc complimented the fish beautifully. My friend and I shared the tuna tacos to start which were delicious. I was happy to see we were given a generous serving of Guacamole with the tacos. My friend ordered the Crab Cakes and was very pleased with her choice. It has become one of our favorites and never disappoints. Our server was Shaun this past Saturday evening. He did a terrific job. Having been in the service industry myself when I was younger (for 14 years), I appreciate and can relate to good service. Food & decor are meaningless if the people who work there give the impression they would rather be somewhere else. This was not the case & I would gladly recommend your establishment to family & friends.
A few more brunch choices or possibly maybe brunch "specials" might make it a little more rounded. Steak & crab benedict is innovative, but the traditional eggs benedict should at least be offered.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMothers Day 2013I've eaten at Piñon Grille often and thought itd be a great place for Mothers Day. Everything except the egg white skillet was delicious. The skillet dish lacked flavor. That is a minor issue. What really stood out was our server's poor attitude. He seemed inconvenienced by us and was rude whenever we made additional requests. He also made my 7 year old feel unwelcome. I was surprised by his 'lack' of wanting to service my family,
and also a little embarassed, considering he is a 'server'. Tough decision whether to stick with the skinny, crispy fries that come with, or switch to the awesome mac & cheese.
