Doesn't quite live up to the hype and high-profile reviews, but a solid, imaginative addition to the Portland food scene nonetheless. Great selection of reasonably priced Asian-inspired small plates just right for a couple or double date. The whole menu is tasty and shareable - of the dozen or so plates we tried only one was so-so. Save room for dessert.

Made a reservation for me and my pregnant wife. First date night in over a year. My bad. We had talked about ping for over a year so it seemd like a good choice. Greeted promptly then took then ten minutes to seat us. Drinks took about fifteen minutes after they were ordered. My wife ordered a second one, nonalcoholic, and after fifteen minutes waitress came back and said they were out of that kind. She took my empty and our water picture. Never brought back a more water and neither asked me if I wanted another drink. This was before the food came and we ordered more food afterward. Food great! Don't expect good service. But they are very friendly. Prices moderate. Next time I will bring my own water anpd maybe a flask ;)

We loved Ping! After enjoying the nearby Chinese garden, we warmed up with delicious bowls of noodles in curry broth...incredible! The hardest part was choosing from the fabulous menu, and there were lots of choices for my gluten-free friend. Fun decor includes an antique radio collection. I hope to come back soon!

This is a decent restaurant. The food was a mix of some very good items (spicy ramen, quail eggs) with some okay items. I would have liked to see our server more often, but once we ordered the food, it came pretty quickly. I'm glad I tried it out but with so many good Portland restaurants, I'm not sure I'll be back.
