Pina's Bistro is a bright sparkling culinary jewel amid dozens of fine Italian eateries in South Orange County, California. Established in 1995 as a family enterprise (currently encompassing three generations under Pina's guidance), the cuisine of her native Napoli has been lovingly and masterfully recreated and served to her loyal patrons for the past sixteen years.

Using only the freshest and finest ingredients available in the marketplace Pina handcrafts all of her sausage, manicotti, cannelloni, lasagna, gnocchi, bread and sauces, not to mention her luxurious and sensual dessert offerings as well as all of her other exquisite dishes.

  • "From the time we were first seated to the time the server picked up the payment, we were there 2-1/2 hours and not by choice. The restaurant had accepted a huge party without putting on additional wait staff, so we sat for a good while with no water, bread or menu. By the time we'd received our less-than-hot food, we'd been there well over an hour. The servers were very friendly, but just couldn't keep up with everything. My food didn't have enough garlic, rendering it fairly blah for my tastes. I've read so many good things about this restaurant that I'm hoping this was an anomaly."

  • "Pina's was recommended by a friend that I respect and I was optimistic and really looking forward to it. I moved to California a few years ago from NJ and it has been a monumental task to find Italian restaurants in Orange County that come close to duplicating the East Coast experience that I so dearly miss. From the minute I walked in and was greeted by one of PIna's daughters, I felt right at home. After looking at the menu and wanting everything on it, I decided to let our server choose and she did not disappoint. The food was outstanding and the family feel made the evening even more enjoyable."

  • "upon arriving at the restaurant, we were a little nervous as it was small and in a strip mall setting. however, from the moment we sat down you could tell that it was going to be a personal experience. pina's daughter was our waitress and she was upbeat, attentive and extremely helpful. the food was absolutely delicious. fresh, light and great portions."

  • "This small restaurant is one of the best if not the best Italian restaurant in Tustin. I had her Veal ravioli and my wife had her sausage and broccolli with angel hair pasta. Both were excellent. Service tends to be a little slow, BUT it is well worth the wait. You can enjoy your meal without any rush. Pins's fresh sausage is always wonderful. Her white chocolate gelato is also great."

  • "Family owed and operated. Our table awaited us upon arrival. As fairly regular guests, we were greeted personally, warmly and quickly served our usual beverages. My husband loves sauteed spinach and he is NOT a veggie eater at all. Next is the salad. OMG, love the dressing and the fresh mixed greens - yum! The veal chop and filet specials are to die for so don't miss the specials on the chalkboard. For more "comfort" type food, the meatballs are a "don't miss". I particularly like the sausage and peas in cream sauce, the sausage is homemade in house by Pina. The bread is excellent and a big part of a good Italian meal."

  • "A nice relaxing restaurant to unwind after the pressures of a rough workday. Nothing fancy, but good old fashioned comfort food. It was nice for the owner to greet us at the table to inquire how the dinner was. Will go again."

  • "Truly tasty homemade Italian food with the hospitality as though you're at a friend's house for dinner. Family owned and operated, Pina's Bistro could easily be situated on a hillside on the Amalfi coast instead of Tustin. Haven't had food this authentic in the states since the North End of Boston."

When there was a brief lull, the owner and chef, Pina, came out and greeted us at the table. So happy to see a small family owned restaurant doing so well and right in our own neighborhood.   • "Love everything about this restaraunt. The food is delicious. Have not found anything I didnt like. The specials always amaze me. Overall ambience is wonderful. The sisters that are out front are great and sister/mom team in the kitchen can't be beat. Would highly recommend!! By the way, if you have room for the dessert, pann cotta or bread pudding. yummy!"

  • "Pina never disappoints when it comes to delicious homemade Italian food. I don't mind paying $20 for a plate of pasta when it is served hot, el dente, and bursting with flavor. What bothers me is when I make a reservation well in advance, arrive at the agreed upon time and am told there will be a 20 minute wait for my table (no bar or lounge to wait in, mind you, so we're talking about standing out in the parking lot) or else be seated out on the makeshift patio. We chose the patio where we were alternately sweating under the heat lamp or feeling the cold on our feet and backs (metal chairs are cold outside at night). Pina's was overbooked and the diners paid the price. Service was poor and we waited an hour for our first course. So sad!"

  • "This was our first time although this place has been here for years. It's very small - 7 to 8 tables inside and a few outside. The owner Pina is always there. She is very personable & proud of her food. Her daughter, Hannah, was our server. Very nice & a great personality. Some of the pastas are house made as is the sausage. You can make requests. My husband ordered the house made gnocchi with sausage in a red sauce. Very tasty. I had the pasta primavera in a light red garlic sauce, also very good. A very nice cozy place with very good food."
