All four of us had excellent food (salmon, steak salad, ribs, and prime rib.) The service was exactly what we needed. There when we needed her and not when we didn't. Definately a return trip in order.

It was our first time there and usually with a group of six it's difficult to find a place that we all agree on and all enjoy the food. Here the menu appealed to everyone in the group. We all ordered different foods of our preference and we all enjoyed it. Great for a date or with a group. Great food

We really want to like Pikk's but we just can't. Pikk's is in a great location, and the restaurant has a great vibe, but the food is always spotty (often undercooked, or poorly prepared), and other than the hostess (who is always nice) the service stinks. You're lucky if you get bread, and you can count on only one drink because you usually don't see your server until they bring the check. The beer menu is good though and the martini's at excellent, but again, the are often out of certain martini ingredients by 7pm! Again, we really want to like this place, but we just can't with so many other good offerings in the area.

The pairing dinners in the basement are an event. Great food, prepared alcohol pairing with the meal, and tables with up to 8 friends at a time. I don't miss many.

The food was excellent. My husband said that his Tavern Burger was the best burger he has had in a long time. I liked the fact that the beer selections included my favorite local brewery, Figure 8. My only issues was the seating. We made a reservation for two and were seated in the basement, basically right on top of another party. There were tables open upstairs, near the bar and in view of the TV (which was hopefully playing a local college basketball game). Next time, I either won't make a reservation or will request to be seated upstairs.

Overall a pretty good experience. Food is a little expensive for Valpo as two dinners cost me 60 bucks including tip. Probably won't go again and will look for something more reasonable.
