Pikayo was our third dinner here
in Puerto Rico during our 7 night stay. We're going back before we leave! Enough said!!"

Disfrutamos de la comida, del
servicio y atenciones del personal. Esperamos volver pronto."

MAYBE even better. Had the Chef's
Tasting and it was awesome. They even went above and beyond and subbed out the filet and gave me lamb chops (anyone can make a good filet, but lamb... you need a magic touch there.) Chef Wilo Benet ROCKED IT OUT. However, the pièce de résistance was their foie gras. W O WWWWW. 10 out of 10. Actually, a 9.75 out of 10, because it was only a 'tasting' and not a whole piece... but THAT was the REAL DEAL. The service was fantastic; water never went unfilled and they were right there pouring our wine... all unobtrusively. We went late, so I couldn't get a good view of the water, but it looked like it would have been a great setting. My wife, who's harder to please than I, loved Pikayo. We WILL be back!"

Outstanding service upon entry.
Everyone was ultra pleasant and gave exceptionally great service to my boyfriend and I! Drinks were delicious and the food was delectable! ! We had the Spanish cava bubbly, scallops, foie gras, mini burgers, guava and cheese, and the desert chocolate and cheese were all incredible. Wish they were open for lunch to have my fix! ! What a find. Thank you for making a special night even moreso!"

After looking at a lot of options,
Pikayo was my choice and I was very pleased! Food was excellent, the sea bass on the polenta was the best dish i think i have ever had. The swordfish was also top notch. Wine was outstanding. Great view and excellent service. Thanks Pikayo!"

Food was soooo gooood!!! Love
everything. I recommend this place for a date night."

A Resturant to go to while in
Puerto Rico, food and service was unbelievable."
Dined on 6/21/2014
I tried pikayo when in was in the
modern museum of art 10yrs ago. This is my first time back in Puerto Rico since then and it us bigger and better than ever. Puerto Rican tasting menu is highly recommended."
Dined on 6/18/2014
We came to Puerto Rico to
celebrate my wife birthday and wanted to go somewhere nice and romantic and Pikayo was the top choice. We were sitting at a table over looking the ocean. Our waiter was helpful and provided some recommendation for the appetizers;the plantain and beef brisket was amazing. Our entrees were excellent and seasoned very well. The salmon I had was the best I've ever tasted and my wife lamp chops were delicious. Presentation of the food was great too. All in all a great restaurant and my wife enjoyed as well."
Dined on 6/14/2014
I can always count on Pikayo for a
great meal--the menu is both creative and reliably delicious. With Gustavo covering the cocktails and Javier the wine--always guaranteed a great drink as well! Can't go wrong."
Dined on 6/3/2014
The appetizers were phenomenal! We
ordered four for our table and all of them were delicious. The souffle for desserts were a bit average, however the service was attentive and courteous."
Dined on 5/31/2014
Restaurant was stuffy. Good was
overpriced. Service was terrible. Food was well prepared but small portions. Felt like a country club."
Dined on 5/26/2014
excellent dining place. Great
service, superb quality of foods and the timing to deliver the main course and dessert was excellent. Higly recommended for special occasions."
Dined on 5/24/2014
The best way to celebrate our last
night in Puerto Rico! The Service was incredible, very attentive. We split the arugula and fennel salad, My husband had the rack of lamb and I had the halibut-which was that nights' special and for desert we had the chocolate and cheese soufflés--a must. Every course was perfection. The highlight was when Chef Benet came out and said hello--very personable. We couldn't have had a better end to our wonderful trip!"
Dined on 5/20/2014
Food is very expensive but very
good. The tasting menu is not worth it as you do not get enough food and go hungry though. "
Dined on 5/15/2014
It is a great restaurant from the
hostess to the dessert! Food was delicious, service was superb!"
Dined on 5/10/2014
We are from out of town, coming
straight from the airport and didn't have time to change. The received us like if we were properly dressed and then some. Very attentive, the table location was great. And the food was superb!!! Loved the green pigeon peas with rissoto, and the "bistec encebollado" His wine "Dobleu", is excellent. Very well assorted bar. Everything you see in the pictures on the website, is identical in person; well not truly... is even better. You get to see all the angles. And the interior design is just gorgeous, not too little not too much, very elegant."

I researched Pikayo and was
looking forward a special meal. We are from NYC and eat at some of the best restaurants in the world and thought that Pikayo would be in line with those restaurants from everything I read. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. We didn't receive any information about the tasting menu. I asked and the waist said - oh yeah - we have that. No asks if we wanted refills on drinks, etc. The soufflé was very good. Too bad the waiter never showed us the rest of the dessert menu or even asked if we wanted coffee. For those prices - which were higher than NYC - I expected top notch food, top notch service and a top notch experience. "
Dined on 5/5/2014
Pikayo is worth the trip. The food
was great. I highly recommend the octopus carpaccio. One of the best things I have ever eaten in my life! The only downside is the seating. If you are a party of 2 you will likely be seated in a row next to other parties of 2 - not great for private conversations. "

Pikayo is our favorite restaurant
in San Juan. we have been going back to it every time we are in Puerto Rico ( at least 18 years) The food is always exquisite, especially their Tasting Menus, the service is impeccable and the decor is Beautiful. It is on Par with the finest restaurants in New York A must visit Can't wait to go back "
Dined on 5/3/2014
This is a beautiful space. However
the service by any standard was inattentive and slow. The Caesar salad was poor - the fish and desserts however were good."
Dined on 4/18/2014
The food was absolutely top notch
gourmet. We had Chilean Sea Bass that literally melted in your mouth. That amazing entree came after a spectacular appetizer of a Pesto and Pistachio sauce on tagliatelle pasta. Amazing! We highly recommend the food and service. "
Dined on 4/17/2014
On vacation I hadn't expected a
true 5 star experience. However Pikado delivers across the board. Service was solid with a never empty water glass and accommodative staff. The dining room is beautiful and tables well spaced to ensure privacy unlike most NYC hot spots. And lastly the food was diverse and innovative. Enjoyed the cheese soufflé and the mix of fish, pasta, salad and cheese dishes. Somewhat surprised by quality given food varietal diversity. Would certainly try again."

Always fabulous. Greeted by name,
Maitre D, Sommelier, and all levels of servers very responsive to my desires, to include the firendly Chef Benet. This time I had the Chef's Tasting menu, with Foie gras added (cause I love it and just had to), and a white wine pairing. Only thing I didn't like the whole night was one wine. But the other pairings were fab, and even had saki with the fish."
Dined on 4/2/2014
Amazing food! We went for the
classic tasting menu, which did not disappoint. The chef really understands how to put together creative and complex flavor combinations. Each dish was a surprise from the tuna tartare with wasabi tobiko and Yuzu sauce to the amazing foie gras with truffle honey, which may be one of the best dishes I have had in my life. The portions are not big but the flavors of each dish are meant to be savored and appreciated. The only dish I was not utterly impressed by was the scallop ravioli, which I felt the scallop was a bit overcooked and rubbery rather than tender, but the flavor was excellent. Wonderful service as well!"

I was very impressed with my
overall experience. Food was exquisite there was nothing that I didn't like for the starters to dessert. Nice wine list and service was excellent."
Dined on 3/30/2014
Dinner was great, however tostones
beg to be served with a sauce on the side. Scallops were on point and so were the appetizers. Not terribly impressed with manposteo rice. More dessert options would be nice."
Dined on 3/29/2014
When I made my reservation I
casually mentioned that it was our anniversary. I did not think that nor did I expect the restaurant to pay attention to this detail. To my surprise and my wife's, we were greeted with two glasses of champagne and a happy anniversary wish from the staff. It was the beginning to an extraordinary night of dining. The meals are beyond delight and the service was excellently detailed. When I come back to Puerto Rico we will defintely vist Pikayo."

This is Wilo Benet's flagship
restaurant at the Hilton Condado Plaza. The food is a great combination of technique, converting Puerto Rican classics into masterpieces. For example, with the "Bistec Encebollado" (single minute steaks with sauteed onions), Chef Benet uses tenderloin and the onions are caramelized just perfect. The seared Foie Gras he serves with ripe plantain and a truffle honey. I always have a great experience in this, one of the best restaurants in Puerto Rico. Be sure to make a reservation, be it foe the dining room or the bar."
Dined on 3/28/2014
One of the most memorable meals I
have ever had! The service was excellent and the food was a spectacular work of art! Chef Benet was kind enough to prepare some pre-meal surprises for the table and spent a good bit of time describing the various dishes. Our table consisted of people in the entertainment business and our applause was for the staff was well deserved. An evening we won't forget."
Dined on 3/27/2014
The food was delicious, the
service was gracious. I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant to others."
Dined on 3/24/2014
A culinary treat! Best meal in
Puerto Rico. Swordfish melted in your Mouth. Tapas were all fabulous and the cheese soufflé with guava was Sublime. Don't miss it"
Dined on 3/22/2014
Our meal was delicious, our entire
party enjoyed all our choices. We ordered a bottle of pinot noir, which was a great pairing with our steak dishes. In spite of the kitchen's excellence, the service was a spotty. The two examples include: not acknowledging our mother's 60th birthday which was noted on the reservation. A nearby table received a candle in their dessert; we thought it would have been nice if this was also done for our mother. Also, we ordered a dish, which was asked to be wrapped up to take home - stomachs were too full. We didn't realize until later that they forgot to give us our doggie bag- too late to head back! All in all, after spending over $400 for dinner, I would have liked to have seen consistent and better service."
Dined on 3/22/2014
This was the best restaurant
experience I've had in Puerto Rico. The food was up to par and the service was impeccable, the money was well worth it. I would definitely come back."
Dined on 3/21/2014
Great food, the gandules risotto
was amazing as well as the scallops. Dessert was scrumptious. Special event and received complimentary champagne. Totally recommend it. Was surprised that there was no dress code. During our visit some young men had caps on, girls with shorts and bandanas. There should be a dress code. However I would return."
Dined on 3/16/2014
Our dinner was Pikayo was not just
my favorite in San Juan, it is one of my favorite dinners anywhere. The tasting menu was stunning & they accommodated our requests for additions and changes with a smile. The service was top notch but not austere - they joked with us in a way that made our dinner even more enjoyable. We ate very early (just before 7pm) - by the time we left after 9pm the restaurant was packed & a bit loud."

Move over St. Maarten ... Puerto
Rico is giving you a run for your money as the culinary capital of the Caribbean! Pikayo is fantastic! Chef Wilo visited our table (he is incredibly accessible and very fun) which led us to try the Classic Tasting Menu. The chef encouraged us to help them customize it to our taste ... who does that with a 8 course meal? We told them we like spicy and love chocolate, so they stepped up the heat and substituted a dessert ....UNBELIEVABLE! We loved every course and highly recommend what we thought was truly a remarkable experience!! The wine list, service and ambiance matched the food. Don't miss Pikayo!"
Dined on 3/10/2014
Extremenly expensive! Service is
very good. Not many choices on the menu. The food was good but not exquisite. Main entrees don't include any side, that makes it even more expensive. Appetizers are kind of small for the price. It has a beautiful view of the ocean, I would recommend to visit the restaurant during the day to enjoy the view if you dare to pay $160 for two without any drinks! The only item of the menu that surprised me was the coffee, it was only $3 and it was really good!!! Buen Provecho!"
