Have been to Pig and Finch 3 times. Can't stop myself from ordering the kale salad which is even better in its winter iteration, with butternut squash and candied walnuts. Our most recent trip was for our sons birthday. We were a party of 6 on a Sunday evening and a 5 year old was with us. All adults are adventurous eaters. We ordered everything from fried chicken to lamb burger and nobody didn't just love their meal. My son said the Templeton Rye martini alone was worth the visit! They put us in the party room and had little hats at the table-- both of which were great with a little kid along. My only criticism is that our orders arrived in a somewhat stuttered fashion. New fave restaurant. We WILL be back! GREAT job Lindsay and staff!

We've been to the Pig and Finch a few times. We appreciate the lengths they go to get much of their food through local sources. Another big plus is that they are very allergy aware and will take the extra time to make sure your food will meet your dietary needs and be wonderful. Try the toast points with bacon marmalade (get it with the goat cheese if you are allergic to penicillin/blue cheese), the lamb burger, and sip the "Finch" martini. I never knew basil and lemon belonged so close together until my visit. Friendly, tasty, and caring.

Farm-to-table menu. My partner had the Duck Confit and I had the Farm Chicken. Both were excellent. I ordered a glass of wine from the menu, but the bar was out of it. The bartender came to our table to asked what kinds of wines I enjoyed and based on our conversation he said he had just the wine for me. It was wonderful! Good service throughout our meal. We'll be back the next time we're in Omaha. I have put this restaurant on our short list of venues for a social dinner after a meeting in a few months.

My boyfriend and I had a great time! Our server was excellent and really cared about the food. I had the trout and my boyfriend had the PorkChop, both were delicious. They also had a fun beer list, no you won't find Coor Light or Heineken, because it is a well thought out list. We were too full for dessert but will be back to try the warm cinnamon apple crisp

This was our third visit. P&F is attractive, has outstanding food, and buys its meat from local sources, not factory-farms. My wife had the farm-raised rainbow trout, as usual, and, as usual, it was delicious. I had the buffalo chili special with a Texas-toast grilled cheese sandwich included. I cleaned my plate - ultimate comfort food. If they served this in hospitals, people would get out a day sooner! In the past I have had the lamb and the pork-shoulder. They were both quite memorable. P&F has moved up into our regular rotation. What a nice place to eat!

I would prefer more variety in food choices as they were out of the trout. My pork shoulder was quite fatty. The brussel sprouts should have been shredded not whole. However the outdoor ambience was terrific & I would recommend this restaurant for a fun time. The bar looked charming but the food could be improved.

Service and ambience are both excellent. Unfortunately, for the price the food is not up to par. It probably is not an ingredient sourcing issue but rather how out is prepared. The foie gras was over seared and the bread was burnt. The pork belly was barely fatty and the lentils were raw. Brussel sprout were decent though.

The dinner was great. Went there for Omaha Restaurant Week and had the butternut squash bisque. Fantastic flavor and consistency. Had the pork shoulder entree and it was equally, if not more fantastic than the soup. It was slow roasted so the meat just melted in my mount. The outside had a light crust of a sweetish seasoning. The chocolate torte that I shared with my wife was a perfect finish. Her butternut squash risotto was the only vegetarian option, but it was wonderful. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends.

Food and wine were delicious. Recipes are complex with delicious flavors. Prices are a little higher than a typical neighborhood restaurant, so we will save P and F for more special occasions than just running out to grab a bite. Portions were large and I had enough for dinner again the next night. I had lamb, which was delicious. My husband had the New York strip steak frite. His fries were yummy. A nice night. I gave the three stars because I would turn more lights down. Also it is wood tables, wood chairs and wood floor, not a romantic type setting. So I don't think they're really going for ambience. More of a fun neighborhood higher and restaurant type setting.

Our table ordered a variety of entrees and sides and overall about half of items were good. Salmon salad and flat bread (shrimp and mushroom items) were a hit but short rib sandwich was inedible, garlic potato side the same. Prices are on the high side so very disappointing. Beer selection is very limited if you like domestic beers like blue moon which was also disappointing.

The food was good but the pricey lamb burger my son ordered was the size of a slider! Very disappointed. Luckily my grandson's chicken tenders was larger than my sons adult burger meal so he shared. Good service and the small separate room that was open to the rest of the patrons was very nice for a family celebration.

We were in town visiting family and decided to try out Pig & Finch. It had gotten a lot of good reviews and word-of-mouth attention, so we figured we would try it. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend it to others. The food was inventive and well prepared. The server was attentive, despite it being Friday night. The beer list, though fairly short, had quality labels on it. My biggest complaint was the noise level. We had a table of six and could not hear one another. This is a common problem with restaurants trying to go for a modern look and feel--hard surfaces everywhere that bounce sound, rather than absorb it. Maybe try going in the off-hours when it's not as crowded.

Three of us dined here for my birthday lunch and I would have to say that the food was excellent! I had trouble figuring out what I wanted because everything sounded so great on the menu! The salmon in parchment paper was excellent and very tender. I would have preferred better service though. The waiter was not consistent with table visits and he seemed annoyed with us if we asked for something.

We've hit the Omaha circuit a lot lately and this was the best dining of all. Sullivan's, Flat Iron, Brix & V. Mertz, to name a few, did not present as delicious as P&F did. Their grilled oysters and charcuterie were fantastic, and we have been sampling the charcuterie everywhere. I wouldn't even get it again at V. Mertz and it is probably twice the price! They're also serving a fabulous Sangiovese from the Bocelli vinyard.

We have been to Pig and Finch several times and have never been disappointed. We have always eaten outside so I don't know what the noise level is like inside the restaurant. Outside, it has been easy to talk to the person across the table from us and hear them. Our food and drinks have been consistently tasty with an attractive presentation. This was our first time dining at Pig & Finch. It was for my birthday dinner so we were hoping for a special meal. We got it. Started with cocktails. A Manhattan and a You Say Tomato. Both were fantastic. Next was the Bone Marrow. I hadn't tried that previously. Amazing. I had the Duck Cassoulet my wife had the espresso rubbed pork shoulder. Both were great. Since I didn't want to choose we had the potato gnocchi. My wife loved it. I was indifferent but it didn't suck. Overall it was fantastic. Really enjoyed the whole experience and we will be back.

I wanted to try this new restaurant. I checked the menu first to see if they had vegetarian options, and they did. There were a few options for me to choose from. I ordered a Kale Cesar salad (without anchovies). It was great, however the bread that came with it was soaking in oil. The service was great, the waitress made sure we got exactly what we wanted.
