Pierside Kitchen features fresh, seasonally inspired cuisine. Due to its seaside environs and proximity to farms and ranches, diners will appreciate its emphasis on showcasing local and regional bounty.

Located on the pier with expansive views of Drayton Harbor, the dining room harkens back to the area’s origins as an Alaska Packers Association cannery, which served as a center for salmon processing for nearly 80 years.

Unique elements such as old world cannery-inspired dishes, artisanal North coast-inspired sculptures and a custom-built dual-sided wall-inset glass fireplace contribute to creating an ambiance designed to capture an authentic seaside mariner feel. Pierside Kitchen’s dining room seats 110 with patio seating in warm weather months accommodating 50. A private dining area can accommodate up to 16.

  • "Had lunch upon arrival and it was good until dinner came. Waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Breakfast came and I had a reservation. Two people asked if we've been helped but only the third person sat us down. But before that she said we had a patio reservation. I said no because it's our first time there and wasn't even aware of a patio seating. Same thing happened, waited forever for breakfast and almost cancel my spa appointment at 11am! Server wasn't really friendly. It could have been an awesome experience except for the long wait for food."

  • "We ate at the new Pierside for the first time. The food was OK but inconsistent with limited choices and over priced given the small size of portions. The staff were well meaning but inexperienced, not well trained, slow to do basic stuff like bring water, menus and follow up to the table. This is not fine dining as advertised given the décor, the family atmosphere and the menu selections."

  • "We stayed at Semiahmoo and had dinner at Pierside Kitchen to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I had the chicken and my husband had the halibut. Both were the best we'd ever had. The seasonal, local vegetables were cooked to perfection. Our waitress was very attentive and even offered us dessert on the house to celebrate our special occasion. We had a table near the window as the sun was setting which made for a beautiful, peaceful view. Customers like us were dressed for a special occasion, but there was certainly the more casual crowd too. When we told our waitress that we were headed to a show, she made sure that we received our ticket in a timely manner so that we wouldn't be rushed. We'll be back for sure!"

  • "Oysters Rockefeller=overdone, almost burned, small. Shrimp "cocktail" = 6 large shrimp, small container of sauce. Salmon="almost" overdone but acceptable. It was planked. I had to ask for lemon wedges. I asked to substitute other vegetables for the grilled raddichio that comes with the salmon. Request met graciously. However, the vegetables had a few burned edges...asparagus grilled with tips charred and what I think were mushrooms were completely toasted/burned. Overall, we were disappointed. We did let the server know that the oysters were unacceptable and he told his manager and the kitchen. While they didn't remove the $19 charge for the oysters, they did give us one free dessert. Might return for lunch but not for dinner."

  • "We dined here for breakfast and dinner. The eggs Benedict were over cooked and very average. We waited 1/2 hour for our dinner reservation, the front desk was totally unorganized. We found the meal was overpriced and my filet mignonette was burnt on the top. I was very disappointed for what we paid."

  • "Pierside Kitchen has great food, but the service was slow. I don't like sitting with an empty salad plate in front of me for what seemed like an eternity... Also, when the waitress handed us the dessert menu, she totally disappeared for about 20 minutes without coming back to A. either take our dessert order or B. to give us our bill. It's a good thing their food was delicious to make up for the mediocre service. Oh, and also, when my salad was delivered, no one asked me if I wanted cracked pepper, yet I saw all of the tables around me getting this service when they received their salads. Our Server walked by after I had already eaten half of it and asked, "oh, did someone offer you some pepper?" A little too late at that point. "

  • "The decor and ambiance was pleasing. Our table for two was by the windows (as requested) but the table over was right next to us, which didn't make for a very private romantic meal. My husband had Cedar-Planked King Salmon with Grilled Radicchio, Potatoes Anna. He said it was moist and he enjoyed the side dishes. When I ordered I thought I was getting a salad (it was listed under "Pidine"). The waiter clarified that that was what I wanted and I was surprised when it came as a pizza. I definitely should have asked more questions. It was very tasty though. I also had a side of roasted vegetables. We had organic eggs the next day and thought their breakfast was very good. We appreciated their use of organic, fresh ingredients."

  • "The menu is probably a bit more sophisticated than the average Semiahmoo diner, but what we ordered was quite good. Our server, who we have known for many years, was great. But she, like all servers, were stretched thin, having to also service the packed, refurbished Packer's Lounge, with seating inside and outside (as of now, no outside seating for Pierside). Work to do in refurbishing: I give this place my award as noisiest restaurant I have ever been in. Wood plank floors, high ceilings with wood as well mean that, until it reached half capacity, the place was deafening. It also needs shades for windows when sun goes down."

  • "Having had only so-so experiences in the past at Semiahmoo restaurants, I didn't have particularly high hopes, so I was really happy to find this new restaurant was amazing. Really great menu, with lots of options yet still cohesive. Beautiful presentation, delicious food. Our server was the wine steward, Eric, who was great. He made time to chat with us, had good recommendations, was just really pleasant and friendly. The view is gorgeous, the only complaint is that there is little in the new decor to dampen sound, so it is definitely a low din in there, which is the only thing keeping it from rating as romantic. We will definitely be back on a regular basis. Well done!"

  • "One of the most stunningly beautiful water view restaurants in the Pacific Northwest. The newly renovated interior elicits a "Wow!'. The "Fork and Knife Caesar" had fresh anchovies, generously shaved Parmesan and a light (just right) dressing. The wood oven Maragarita pizza is the best north of Seattle. The woodfired halibut was so fresh - perfectly moist and flaky with a crispy golden crust. The Chocoalte Royale dessert has dark Valhrona matched with roasted hazelnuts. Overall this is a lovely restaurant with excellent food that is worth a trip (and return trips) up from Seattle or down from Vancouver. "
