"This was as good or better than any dining experience we have had in France. The service was impeccable, and the food was prepared and served with taste and style. Although the venue is tiny, tables are nicely separated, even for families with small children. The staff appeared to know many of its patrons, indicating repeat customers. When we want authentic French food, we will return. The prices are reasonable and their house wine carafe is excellent and a good deal."

"Pierre is the owner and chef. He's a master of French cooking, and offers a superbly prepared creative menu. Service is attentive, prompt, but not rushed. The place is not trendy in the least, but I'll be back many times."

"Pierre's really could be so much more, with an updated wine list, bread from SunStreet, P46 or Rustica,and maybe a more modern take on the menu. The service sadly was slow as well. I really want to like the place, but with so many other great choices nearby, I think it needs to raise its game."

"Good to find some relatively more traditional French dish. The escargots were excellent. The lamb was quite good. I do agree with my fellow diners that the kitchen was too heavy on salt. I had to drink a few glasses of water after I got home. I would go there again if they could cook with less salt."

"The food was close to spectular and service was excellent. There were, however, 2 things that made the overall experience less pleasant than it might have been. First, the owner was not very friendly, close to the point of being rude. Second, the temperature inside the retaurant was so warm as to make it uncomfortable for dining. Fortunately, the quality of the food made up for thsse 2 minuses."

"This was our second trip to Pierre's Bistro. Again, we thought it was wonderful food at a really reasonable price. Portions are very large. We dined with friends, one of whom had lived in Paris, and she thought it was really great too."

"Excellent dinner - lamb chops and seafood pasta. The house wine was satisfactory. Our waitress - sorry I don't have her name - was outstanding, so friendly and helpful. We liked the cozy interior and can see why this is a neighborhood favorite. We will be back."

"Excellent food. I had a certificate I bought through Open Table, but could not get the Opentable website to print it the day I wanted to use it, and the deal was to expire in 2 days. I printed out what I could, from the email I received at purchase time, verifying that I had purchased the certificate. Pierre would not honor it. After quite a bit of time, I was able to bring up the certificate on my smartphone. Pierre agreed to honor the deal after all, with the electronic version. Frustrating experience."
