Pierre Loti MidtownSimply fantasticWas looking for a tapas/wine bar combo and hit the jackpot with Pierre Loti. Small, great ambience, felt like we stumbled upon the greatest secret in Midtown East. I wish I lived in NYC to become a regular!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest creme brûléeWent there for our 1 year anniversary! had early reservation like around 5:30p so it was not crowded. ambiance was very romantic. servers were very attentive. When they found out it was our anniversary they surprised us with complimentary Prosecco. Our hotel was on 55th between 5th and 6th so it was a bit of a hike for dinner but worth it. The wine list was decent but they were offering specials on the Hungarian wines and they were better then expected. Highlights for me were the Tuna Tartar (probably best I have ever had) with capers and avocado, the shrimp stuffed whole squid, braised short ribs and the grape leaves. Good choices for both Paleo and Gluten Free options.2/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe staff here is so nice. The staff here is so nice. They make you feel right at home. Amazing prices for amazing food.
