Piedmont RestaurantFabulously fresh foodThe menu reminded me of Fearrington House...very creative and unique combinations. Everything was super fresh and delicious.
I had the Farroto and it was incredibly tasty. And the shaved broccoli was delightful too...5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Local Place! The menu is always changing so you can eat here all the time and get something different every time!
Loved the atmosphere and service was great. Also, love that what we were eating came from local farms. Food was inspired and enjoyable to eat!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great food!I've eaten at Piedmont several times, and I love the atmosphere, but most of all, the food! We'll put it on our short(er) list for a return visit.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPiedmont embodies the locallyPiedmont embodies the locally sourced farm to table concept almost as well as any restaurant in the triangle. This low-number table spot has a variety of meals and sides that can please pasta snobs to meat-and-potatoes eaters while maintaining a reasonable bill for the group.
The most impressive parts of the menu lie in the libations, desserts, and appetizers where a bourbon-candied-cherry Manhattan and pot de creme are this diner's favorites. Other noteable selections include pickles and toast and new twists on classic Caesar and house salads.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFun tasting menuWe choose to have the four course tasting menu. Even though it was not on the menu, I knew i wanted it from their online menu and the chef said he would do it for us! Wow! $40 for four courses - each course is a surprise and a really great value. We started with fresh bread and amazing apple butter. Then we had ceasar kale salad-That's the way to serve kale! Then we moved on to gnocchi with leek-yum. We followed with a Hereford strip steak-cooked to perfection. For dessert we had two different ones served to us- an apple pie-that was all apple served with cheddar cheese ice cream. Awesome combination. The other dessert was an ice cream sundae. Carrot cake with cream cheese ice cream and a roasted marshmallow. Great experience.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went after a concert, wereWe went after a concert, were promptly seated and given good service.
