#1 Rated Restaurant in Miami Beach in 2013 TripAdvisor! Located in the Cadet Hotel on 17th and James Avenue, Pied a Terre's intimate setting has 11 tables seating up to 30 people. We also offer an outdoor dining area with two chef's tables to accommodate larger parties. We serve contemporary Mediterranean/ French cuisine in a fine dining atmosphere. Our menu changes continuously to reflect seasonal ingredients and local products. We offer chef's tasting menu featuring our signature offerings as well as an a la carte menu. Our cuisine is always a work in progress and we strive to ensure there are always new and exciting dishes for our guests to sample.
Our wine list features 190 international and domestic selections. We are proud to have obtained the "Wine Spectator Award" in August 2013. We can accommodate any dietary requirements or personal preferences.High Tea would be served with reservation.

  • "We went here for my birthday dinner - we found it on open table - and we were delighted and charmed and enjoyed every minute of it. Patrick and his team are actually from Paris and take great care in every aspect of the meal. The food was truly excellent. Don't miss out on the fois gras terrine. We are from Alsace (the french home of fois gras) so we are picky about it - it was exceptional; really some of the best we have had. The place is cozy and romantic and delicately upscale and was a welcome change from the "scene" of south beach. It's inside a little hotel so don't miss it! Go inside the lobby and it's up a tiny site staircase to the right. Oh, and as other reviewers have said, the butter is also worth the calories! ;-) "

  • "This is a small restaurant, inside an hotel, not so easy to find but it is a hidden "pearl" The food is excelent, tasty, very well cooked and with the most fresh ingredients. Wine list is also very good and you can pair with the dishes by the glass. It's a pity that you have only indoor seating....but it is worth trying if you want to have an excelent meal. At the end the check was a pleaseant surprise!"

The menu had so many wonderful choices we couldn't decide, everything was inventive and special and more than lived up to our expectations. Fresh ingredients, high culinary standards and technique without heavy creams or thickeners used in traditional French cuisine. We indulged, had a great conversation with the proprietor who served along with the waiter, without pretense some other reviews misstated, but with passion and care about the restaurant. We were even happy to indulge in desert which we normally don't get excited about. This place is a gem, and we can't wait to go again. "

  • "We got to Pied a Terre at around 9.50pm after a long day at Key West. We got a hearty welcome and excellent service even though it was nearly closing time. The special Pisco sour was very special and delicious. The food was delicious. The service was outstanding. One regret was that we did not have the opportunity to savour the degustation menu. We would have gone back unfortunately we went there on our last night in Miami."

Located in a boutique hotel just off of Collins, still in the heart of it, Pied a Terre is an upscale dining treat. The food is thoughtful and expertly prepared. The service is not just attentive but impeccable. The wine list is unique and notable. A great venue for a romantic evening. It's not one of the garish, themed dining rooms offered at a million other spots in South Beach. Much quieter...more intimate. Sure take the time to enjoy the night life that South Beach has to offer, enjoy the well known dining and people watching hot spots; if you want the best meal in town go to Pied a Terre as well. "

  • "The most impressive thing about this restaurant was the food. It was exquisite! Akin to eating in a Parisian restaurant. This alone would have us return. The restuarant allows corkage. However, we were met with condescending attitude by the sommelier when we arrived with $200 bottle (our cost) of fine Californian wine. He made us feel uncomfortable although we also ordered aperitifs and bottled water. The waiter made up for his attitude. It is a small place with an attractive decor. We ate on a Sunday night which was very quiet. So quiet we were compelled to speak slightly louder than a whisper. Raising the music would probably be helpful in detracting neighboring conversation. "

  • "The men who run this place are French & are friendly and welcoming. Mgr actually helped with a DC-area stalwart, Auberge Françoise. Modern French executed superbly. Starters - both had the Scallops and Caviar (Cauliflower Blinis, Cauliflower Remoulade), greated white cauliflower with white remoulade with fresh scallops was a lovely white canvas for a dallop of caviar. The blinis were soft and creamy, and I couldve eaten 100. Main course I had the sous vide rack of lamb (Bok Choi, Mashed Potato Scented with Fresh Mint, Lamb Jus Reduction). Lamb was a huge portion and flavorful, and it was tender but not amazingly so. Wife had tender perfectly done lobster on a creamy risotto. A great meal and great atmosphere, escape from the energy of SoBe."

  • "After 23 years living here, trying 99% of the restaurants, I never wrote one single review; So yes if I take the time to write a few words on the PAT it is to mention the amazing quality of their food. You can taste that they are looking for the best fresh ingredients and they are not trying to cut corners in buying cheap products. Most of the restaurants tour have forgotten about this simple fact. Their chef, will them prepare some original dishes such as the vegetable tart with pea sherbet or coconut lemon thym ice cream. The major difference with other kitchen that usually try to mix up anything to be different this one was extremely well thought and you will still dream about the amazing flavors of the PAT long after your diner."

  • "This was the third year in a row we went to Pied a Terre for our anniversary dinner, again it did not disappoint. It is a real hideaway but right next to Lincoln Road. The main room feels like a private dining room and they now have a very nice outdoor seating area as well. The service is wonderful, with real attention given to every guest. The food was very good with a special note for the vegetable tart d'oeuvre which was tasty and different. We enjoyed the entire experience and will be back again for another special occasion."
